    I never thought about it until now, but Arya mimics The Hound's mannerisms at the table to make sure she seems like his daughter, but uses the right and polite words. I've seen this a few times and was always looking at other things.

      i mean she was always pretty savage. in the first ep shes complaining about needing to fold her linens instead of just scrunching them up in a ball and we see her throwing food at sansa during dinner.

    • @jaelynn7575
      @jaelynn7575 Месяц назад

      @@nullakjg767 I wouldn't say that that's "savage." That's just being a kid at that age and she's a middle child of five. She was a kid that knew she wasn't going to be like her mom or Sansa, she wanted to be free and independent and she got what she wanted, by circumstance, when Ned lost his head.

    The actor playing the new king Tommen, also played one of the Lannister boys the Kar-Starks killed.

    Tywin only cares that King Joffrey was unalived in a way that could tarnish the Lannister legacy. Both at his own wedding AND at the supposed hand of his own uncle. He has always cared about controlling the people's perception of his house, despite saying "A lion doesn't concern itself with the opinion of sheep." In actuality, this Lion concerns himself very much and will utilize any means necessary to gain order and control over the narrative.

    The scene where Jaime and Cersei do it on top of Joffreys dead corpse wasn't written to be so rapey. It was the acting/directing decision

      @@HuntingViolets IDK if I buy that.... How didn't they realize that Jaime forcing himself on Cersei while she repeatedly says "no" would come off as a rape?... In the book it's written to be clearly consentual between both parties yet the show made it into an aggravated sexual assault.

    Tywin’s main power goal is just having as much reach as possible. Dorne had always stayed out of it and kept to themselves as their own power. Tywin wants as much alliance as possible.

    the hound is the best character in the show, soon as you realize the hound always had Sansas back, from getting rapped and helped her with Geoffrey , also asked Sansa to leave with him which she should of, the hound is my favorite character in the show, hands down

    The Showrunners try to say that 'sex' scene wasn't supposed to come off so 'forceful', but how in the world does that get through all the people it would have to get through before getting to air with not a single person raising concern? How??

      in the books jaime had just returned to KL. she didnt want to do it there because she was afraid of getting caught by the septs but jaime said he didnt care if anyone found out and cersei gives in. so i think they just fumbled big on showing her flip upon hearing jamie isnt ashamed. in a weird way, jamie and cerseis love is the most pure one in the series. they chose each other and continue to choose each other no matter the odds and potential consequences. no other couple in the books seems to be that way. (except maybe R + L but we dont see that first hand) But everyone else either learns to love out of duty/honor or they betray them.

      It's highborn bastards only, though, born of a noble father ! It serves to separate them form the legitimate children in a visible, ever-present way. Lowborn children don't get it, and while it's been a while since I've read the books, I don't think we ever see lowborn people with a surname, it seems to be a specificity of noble people.

    The directors said at the time that the Jaime r*ping Cercei scene wasn't actually that. Just sh*tty writing, directing, and editing. The directors were pretty obtuse sometimes. Apparently their first effort at a pilot was pretty bad. People watching it didn't even realize that Jaime and Cersei were siblings. They had to completely redo it.
    They made some other mistakes here and there, where what they're trying to convey is coming across as something else.
    Thank goodness for the book readers when the show originally aired. They were the ones who made sure that people knew, for example, that the way Jaime appears to be in this scene hadn't actually happened, which is good, because character development.

    That incestual rape scene was a big deal when it actually aired. I think it makes sense in context, but... It really doesn't knowing that we know Jamie, as evil as he'd been, in a better context.

    Tywin needs the Tyrell's (Highgarden) money and The Martell's (Dorne) loyalty or at the very least, their neutral cooperation-- It's really the six Kingdoms without em and they aren't really Benders. Kinda Southern Wildlings.
    He also knows, Tommen is easier to control than Joffrey, so good riddance, let's get this Kingdom back in order.

    Hey, would it be possible to make these edited videos at least 15-20 minutes more in length? Like other reactors in youtube do. The show deserves it guys. And the more discussions you do and leave in the reaction the better for your channel, longterm. Just my two cents, cheers love you guys!!

    • @mack_taylor
      @mack_taylor Год назад +3

      I've heard some reactors say they have noticed that people don't stick around for afterthoughts so they leave it out. It really just depends on the reactors and the type of channel they run.
      You need to be smart, attentive, well spoken, engaging, entertaining, etc to be able to give a decent segment of afterthoughts without it becoming a mess.
      You know when a friend or family member goes to the movies and comes back and tries to explain it to you and you can't follow or you just couldn't care less? That's how it can easily come across if you aren't on top of your game. I know I'm one of those people lol
      I'm not saying Sophie and Mair aren't capable, cause I personally think they could do it and I'd probably watch and listen. I'm just saying it's a lot of work and the turn out can go either way so overall it's not typically worth it imo.
      As far as more screen time for the episodes, reaction channels are typically limited to 10 minutes of actual video (I think so anyway) so they gotta work around all the lame ish YT, copyright, HBO, etc throws at them. I personally like the longer videos as well but I understand they can only put up so much on YT so I'm grateful for what I get 😊

      @@mack_taylor Yup i am aware of your points. Its up to them in the end, but so far I have enjoyed the most, channels with game of thrones being 45-55 minutes per episode with loads of discussions in between. So these seem kinda too short to me without leaving much time for discussions/insights/guesses/predictions etc. But maybe its just me.
