“Killing a man at a wedding, what sort of monster would do such a thing”
😂😂😂
Perfect example of "hate the character, love the actor"
Joffrey: “there’s been too much amusement!”
*provides more amusement*
The one time a Joffrey joke landed
@@robertcurtis8585 the first and last time.
@@robertcurtis8585 Landed like Tommen
@@LentPanic7 stawwwppp 🤣🤣
Jack Gleeson played Joffrey so well, I always have to smile, when other actors (especially Sophie/Sansa) describe him as the sweetest person on set. It's easy to play heros, but villains are another level. Great job on this, doesn't change the fact, that we all (?) hate Joffrey :D .
I mean he modeled him after possibly an even worse person than Joffrey, Commidus from Gladiator, and while Joaquin Phoenix is known to be aloof, I don't think anyone whose worked with him has ever said he's a bad person either. Just shows how great of an actor both Jack and Joaquin are, for playing two of the worst people in cinema history. Could say the same for Iwan Rheon (Ramsay). It takes a real good actor to play people that horrible. To get people to buy into the act that these people are truly horrible is a lot harder than playing a noble character like Ned, Jon or Robb.
He did such a great job and the thing is, he didn't even wanna act. Just goes to show how talented he is
@@mr.m7491 yes because he got lots of hate comments.. some people are so toxic.. we love him because he was so good to receive hate in this series but some people took it seriously and hated him in real life
The sad thing is, fans hated the character so much, they drove Jack Gleeson away from acting.
Jack Gleesen said he never got harassed in real life for his role as Joffrey. He said he just decided to stop acting when it wasn't a passion project for him anymore and became more of a job. But he has been spotted recently doing theatre acts since that was his first interest.
"Cersei poisoned him." That's the wildest GoT take I've heard and that's saying something 😄
na, it would be wild if joffrey never bitched at cersei before, but that ain't the case.
This made me laugh
Not the first time I have heard it.
It makes sense from a certain point of view.
How do you come to cercei poisoning her own child have you even been paying attention to the show
Because Cersei may love her child but she doesn't like the man he's become. He doesn't feel that kind of devotion towards her.
Once that marriage was consummated, he is no longer hers. She is no longer Queen Regent.
He doesn't need her. He doesn't want her around nor does he value her input.
Once the marriage is consummated, she is to be married off to someone she doesn't have any use for and sent far away from court, Jamie,Tommen & the life & power she knows. And probably forgotten about except when her Father and the High Gardens get on her about producing an heir.
That kind of demotion/irrelevancy stings.
The moment the marriage is consummated, her child is lost to her anyways.
But dying just before?
He would always stay forever her boy. She retains her crown.
And she does have a spare.
That's why it's a plausible theory.
Let's not pretend that Cersei doesn't have some convoluted ideas about what love means & how it's shown.
Her love is not known for being healthy.
*When Joffrey was coughing and took another sip*
Steejo: "I wouldn't drink more of that..." LOL
42:50 Joffrey says "since you're too cowardly to fight", funny thing is, Tyrion was the one leading soldiers into battle at Blackwater while Joffrey was the one that was too cowardly to stay on the beach and fight. The thing is with Joffrey, he insults and makes fun of those who pose the most threat to him to lower them generally imo. He's afraid of his Uncle because Tyrion isn't afraid of him, isn't afraid to speak up against him and even physically put him in his place (note the slap Tyrion gave him in an earlier season). It's the only thing Joffrey could do to lower Tyrion and his confidence.
Hope you guys are OK after this it's a hard thing to watch a beloved character being killed off.
In all seriousness though what a phenomenal job Jack Gleeson did in his first big role and at the age of just 16, amazing. Whenever I think of him I will remember how he was a C ompletely, U nique, N atural, T hespian.
That's clever
Gleeson's first love is theatre. After playing Joffrey, he returned to the live stage.
Suzy in that thumbnail LOL 😂🤣
It’s always fun to see Joffrey finally get his. At any rate, way to go you two
"Never tried using my hand, I always use toilet paper" -- I died 🤣
"That guy's a little bit psychotic".
That's like saying "Joffrey is a little bit of a prick" 🤣
Joffery's death was more brutal in the books. He was clawing at his throat to the point of drawing blood.
pretty much everything was more brutal in the books
Joffrey: *starts to choke*
Actual Murderer: “OH THE POOR BOY!!!” 😩😞😱
I really like this quote by Rebecca West: “I myself have never been able to find out precisely what feminism is: I only know that people call me a feminist whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from a doormat, or a prostitute.” Do not apologize for what you think, Suzy. Never. F***k trolls, in the gaming industry and everywhere else.
That's actually a brilliant quote, might have to start referencing that sometimes.
It's quite confusing though, this whole debate. Because most people on the left and even quite a lot on the right would agree to a lot of feminist philosophy. But some big dramas that blew up put so many people off that simply using the word feminist could get you into trouble, or at least some conflict with a community. Which is a shame really, because it gives feminism this black-and-white look that most western movements really aren't about. Well, saying it isn't to everyone would be a lie obviously because some people are rather extreme about this, but still.
@@andrehaugvaldstad It's because feminism at its core is a crock of shit. It's a gender biased ideology utilised by, usually, mentally ill women to attack men without repercussion. Egalitarianism is the true search for gender equality. Equal opportunity, equal treatment, equal respect.
Fun facts: About Lady Walda, (no R at the end) Roose's wife (who is the bigger lady). You most likely don't remember Lord Bolton tells Catlyn Stark, before the murderous rampage, of course, that Lord Walder Frey let Roose choose any bride and he would pay her weight in gold as dowry to Roose. So, Roose being Roose chose the fattest girl there. Incidentally, that is also why Sam is bigger, too... it's in the books. Anyway, that's why they have a bigger person in the show. Hell, they covered Olenna Tyell from head to toe. She was old. And Hodor was also meant to be half a giant.
I came here to say this, but scrolled first to see if someone else already did.
Guys, Tyrion has tried on several occasions to tell Shae they're in danger but she refuses to stop being a liability. He had to dis her like that or she would have never left or even tried to not be killed.
What a goated episode. Hope your wedding goes better Suzy!
33:33 "This is when the comments are like you didn't realize the song..."
The song they were playing, was actually The Rains of Castamere.
... " and neither will you " ... lets hecking gooooooo
Joffery should be in the place of Theon Greyjoy in that torturing chamber.. His death was way faster than I expected. It was like a mercy to him.
Kudos to the kid who played the character of Joffery. 👏🏼👏🏼
9:12 is the most savage Suzy moment I've seen yet. I never heard someone say that about Reek.
He said " you run like a girl" 😆😆🤣🤣
I thought the comment about his new name was savage.
Jack Gleeson was terrific as Joffrey. Really great acting.
Fun fact: the song was the Reigns of Castermere, Lannister song, same song they played at the red wedding. (Now I'm just being cheeky.)
Somebody said it below, but I remember reading the same thing. Years after this, someone asked Sophie Turner (Sansa) in an interview who she would bring back if she could bring any dead character back to the show, and she immediately said Joffrey, because Jack Gleeson was such a nice person and so much fun to spend time with on set. Just nice to take something away from what a good job he did creating such a monster-prick character!
btw do you also realize that in the dwarfs' play, Renly rode on a blonde guy instead of a horse ... THAT WAS MEANT TO BE LORAS ...Joffrey didn't even think (or care) how much he insults his wife, his father in law, grandma Tyrell and ser Loras WHO ALL SIT AT THE TABLE ... what a prick
That's why Loras left
Or his mom who set to marry him.
@@theConquerersMama i don't think Joffrey even knew about that, pretty sure it was just a conversation between the adults, but yeah, you're also right
@@YashamaruSensei there was so much talk about it at Tyrion and Sansa's wedding, I thought it was common court knowledge.
I could be wrong but I also thought J wanted his Mom out of his hair.
Did you notice they recast Tommen (Cersei youngest son) with another actor? This was the strangest recast as the "new" actor played one of Lannister squire (remember those two kids murdered by the Karstaarkss( the people Rob beheaded for killing those kids) in previous episode of season 3.
37:13 She still has the power to feed him to the dogs
I get that the negative comments stand out, but from what I am seeing most of them are positive. Maybe for a change just pick a positive and insightful comment and talk about that in the next intro.
BTW, Feminist is just a label, do and say what you think is right and forget about the labels other people want to put on you.
Tyrion tried telling Shae the truth…she wouldn’t listen . He had to shun her in order to convince her to leave. You can hear the heartbreak on his voice as he tells her he doesn’t love her
I forget how they did it on the show, but technically Margery married the king, which made her queen. So if the king dies, she'd technically be queen regent. In actuality though, you have to remember that Joffrey has no children, but a little brother.
Great reaction!! Love seeing you guys react to these big moments!
The acting in this show is incredible.
From the whole of the series till now. I seem to remember the only good quality Cersi ever had was her love for her children. However I can see how you reached that conclusion. We'll wait and see❤️. Loved the reaction guys🥰
Knowing Martin draws on real history, she wouldn't be the first queen to do it.
About Theon, I know you guys talked over one of his key moments when he said "My real father died in king's landing. I made a choice an i chose wrong." It's kind of a key moment in his character arc.
Thanks for the context of not using the term "feminist!" It really rubbed me in the wrong way, because in my country & society a feminist is definitely NOT a bad word, and when someone claims "not being a feminist" usually means they're an asshole & a bigot. But gaming world... uhhh, I get it now. Gamers really hate women, huh? That's so odd. I'm not a gamer myself, but I know a lot of gamers, male & female, and I hear this all the time. It's such a shame. There in absolutely nothing wrong being feminist. It's all about gender equality. If someone feels intimidated about feminists, then they really should look more into that & not rant about "feminist bad".
Omg the best reaction ever 🤣🤣
This reaction was just what I needed 🤣🤣🤣
I love how you guys complimented Joffery's actor, bc you're right, he is incredibly talented in how he made us all hate him.
I'm not sure if he retired from acting? I think I heard he is now working for a charity organization
"We come from the game industry..."
I like watching Steejo flail around while playing EU4, yes.
I don’t like Theon at this point, but I do feel for him. He’s completely broken now with his old self not existing, so it’s not shocking he’ll tell Ramsey whatever he needs to do
The Joffrey actor actually quit acting after the role, because idiots can’t separate actors from characters.
Is anyone else watching the Scottish couple and the Aussie couple and getting them mixed up? As in which one is where in the series... I can obviously tell the accents apart!
I’m not getting them mixed up, but I do watch both!
i hold back many episodes to say "can´t wait for the reaction to joffreys dead" But here we are now finally :D
Believe it or not it is really difficult to wiped your own ass with a different hand. Few years ago I busted my finger and I have to use my other hand for a couple days!
You are correct here, Steejo. Season 4 is, indeed, a banger.
You should definitely watch the lore and history videos but make sure you only watch the ones whose seasons you completed. They are designed to fill in the gaps of each season and include lore from the books that is relevant to the show
YAY YAY PURPLE WEDDING DAY.
I WISH YOU BOTH GOOD FORTUNE IN THE WARS TO COME.
Reaction starts at 8:45
You’re welcome
The joffery actor stopped acting because people were angry with him for whatever reason
he actually is in at least 2 productions after GoT, he said himself he only wanted a break from acting after GoT
No, that’s just what tabloids tried to sell. He simply wanted to pursue other interests. He went back to university.
Never apologize for wanting women's rights. You don't have to call it feminism. But it's something everyone should be for.
Lol
That's literally first wave feminism. Most us in the 21st century are feminists (not modern feminists). We want equal rights. No shame in admitting it.
Agreed. “Feminism” and other groups/movements have great ideals for equality and inclusion and whatnot but they all seem to try and go about things the wrong way and seem to be trying to prove everyone else wrong instead of put their point across the board. One day hopefully everyone will realize that until we are no longer divided and fighting each other there’s always going to be problems.
Just saying you dont have to label yourself a feminist to want true equality
I think the idea of "feminism" has been demonised by right wing figures, but in reality almost all feminists are good people trying to do good things. It's just been twisted by people who oppose it to try and scare young people away from fighting for their rights
Joffrey's fate was so well played out. You get someone like that in power and someone's going to deal with it.
just wanted to say love your content. and hope you guys receive more good comments than bad. i know personally i look forward to all episodes including the intro and the ending commentary
I love how your immediate theories went all over the place between "it was the Granny" and "Cersei did it" :D
Well, I guess we shall see if the next episode(s) reveal(s) anything similar to those ideas or something completely different ;)
Cersie only loves one thing in this whole world. That's her children. And your breakdown is she poised him. Wow 😂😂
Ramsay: "hold my sausage"
These intro's are life 🥰😍
I am writing this to help out Suzy and steejo and this video and this channel with the algorithm ✌️❤️😚☺️
I normally use toilet paper not my hand is the most British joke lol
"no one thinks you're cute" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 what an insult
You should watch Joffrey's actor interview
Forget your wedding Joffrey's gone, open up your best scotch now.
Dear God, how have you gotten this far with this show without mods???
I didn't comment at the time but I'm glad you addressed the feminist thing. It was jarring. It's been beyond sad to see women recoil from the label in recent years but your explanation makes perfect sense.
The term has definitely been poisoned. But also when women use that disclaimer, it comes off as "I am not one of those shrill harpies that [want to, uh, secure women's rights as equal to men]." Basically "I'm not like those other girls!" energy. It's often a "pick me" mentality. Glad to see that's not the case here.
Right?
I did comment. And have now commented to thank them for explaining. It makes me sad that she is in that rock and hard place.
40:00 "don't you bloody laigh it's not funny"
*cackles two seconds later* 🤣
KEEP UPLOADING AT THIS PACE!!
Both of your reactions to Joffrey's death were the absolute BEST! WELL DONE!😂😂
Love the weekly reactions, keep it up 💪
"Breaker of chairs" lol
As the show is getting more intense, the uploads are getting faster. Love that
The world tree is called Yggdrasil.
I totally understand the mindset of being a woman and growing up around gamers, thinking you couldn’t be ‘feminist’. It took me a while to get out of that mindset.
Anyways, all that bullshit aside, THIS WAS A GREAT EPISODE AND A FANTASTIC REACTION!! I don’t think I’ve ever been excited for someone’s reaction to season 4 like I have been with you two! I’m loving every moment.
"But you love him"-Cercei
Brienne should have said, "Only like a brother, you're grace".
"Help the poor boy!"
Masterclass acting by Lady Olenna!
I'm one of those a$@holes Steejo references a few videos ago. One of the ones who never comments. I'll have you know this is my second comment on your entire series!
And I'm really enjoying re-watching the show like this with you guys! Keep it up!
All tyrells have best comebacks😂😂😂
What an epic episode one of the best in the whole Game of Thrones
I felt happy when Joffrey died but sad cuz he was just a boy
I know it's a small thing, but the mention of chronic pain and how difficult it is meant a lot to me. 😊
Joffery dies.
Tywin: oh, thank God.
Cry me a River-LOL best Reaction !!!!!! Love you 2. Greetings from Germany againfrom Andy. See you next!!!!
Thank you for sharing that. This is one case where everybody can learn something culturally. People are very soft today, let them argue on their own.
A few days ago I started watching your GoT reactions from S1E1 and I just thought I'd drop a comment for la algorithm
Thank you and welcome. :)
Believe it or not, it actually IS very difficult to wipe using your non-dominant hand. 😜
Be careful with reading the comments as there's always some idiot in the comments section. I've seen it in others before spoil it for other people who have reacted to game of thrones.
But carry on with this because you guys are awesome to watch reacting :)
Suzy really swung and missed on Cersei's motivations there at the end. 😄
Letting Joffrey rest was too nice. They should given him to Ramsay instead
Blame Gamer Gate. Everyone else does.
Cersei is quite literally the least likely person to have poisoned Joffrey. Theorize about anyone else.
Came back to rewatch the reaction to the death scene. Just golden 😘
I'm enjoying all your reactions, and commentaries and jokes❤❤
39:56 ***laughs*** "Don't you bloody laugh, it's not funny!" ... "I mean it kinda is funny but it's so fucking wrong."
41:05 "Imagine having to marry such a fuckin turd" Bahaha.
"Your mum doesn't look like Cersei...she's got short hair" 👁👄👁
Suzy, you are adorable and so nice. I always enjoy your reactions. Ignore the haters. They are the problem.
Finally more frequent uploads
In this day and age before saying any sort of opinion people need to say “I’m not ____ but-“
And that’s what is so sad about todays youth and peoples understanding as they are being super argumentative and also take offense to things easily. You’re fine, no need to explain yourself it’s like you said - labels, so many labels
Jack Gleeson that played Joffrey retired from acting after playing this role. He has done some stage acting since then though. He just got married this year hope his wedding wasn't like this one.
- I'm gonna go outside and touch some trees
- ask for their permission first
BRUH 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
in the books it was very obvious that the pie was poisoned not the whine ...........
