how crazy can this show get 👀 i've watched up to episode 24, so those will be posted next week! please no spoilers or allusions to what will happen in future episodes - thanks for watching, everyone!
In the manga it clearly that Mustang didn't just draw the transmutation circle by blood but he scrapping it into his hand, you will see his scar later on in the future episode
The dub actually uses the word 'carved' instead of 'drew'. As someone that doesn't understand Japanese, I wonder if the sub mistranslated or if the dub just was correcting a 'mistake'.
@@sebrussell The Japanese doesn't specify that he carved it. It just says he drew it with his blood. I like the dubs wording better because we see it was carved as it fades throughout the series.
19:21 - In manga, Edward noted that he had given that body a life, even though it was a short one, he had seen it move and die. To Edward, that body was a human being, that deserved a proper burial and a gravestone.
Yeah, but in the episode, Al said that that he saw Ed from that body's perspective. That was him, making the body parts move. I'm pretty sure that what they, and anyone who tries this kind of transmutation, created were just a bunch of human-shaped organs, without a new soul ever being brought into it.
@@beterbomen At the time of the burial, Ed didn't know it was Al... He didn't know who, or what it was; all he knew was it was a body that had been alive because of his actions... And I guess it brought some more comfort to Ed, to learn that no other soul was harmed.
The Father didn't kill Greed, he distilled him into a Philosopher's Stone in liquid form (like the one Doctor Marco showed earlier). Then he drank that. Lusts Stone, however was exhausted until vanishing (like the stone of the Freezer in episode 1 and Cornello in episode 3 that vanished when they were used up).
Those bodies were not bodies of anyone who were alive. Like they said, they didn't harm anyone's soul AND *bringing someone back from the dead is simply impossible.* What they made were basically soulless human body dolls. It's simply impossible to bring any parts of living human back from the dead. That's why Ed determined that Al can be brought back, because he brought Al's soul back from the door. Since dead can't be brought back, it meant that Al's not "dead" and it's possible for his body to be restored.
The fact that Mustang was the only one that can killed Lust show us how strong he is, amazing reaction Queen 💜💜 Also, I can't blame you to have a crush on Mustang, I mean, he's literally fire 🔥🔥🔥😂😂😂
The body was created by Ed & Al from base elements, similar to how Mustang created a fake corpse, only more advanced. It didn't come from a real person, which is why the proportions of the skeleton were off.
very few get the reason why Ed is throwing up during the digging up of the body as it's heavily mislead by Ed's own lie about his stumps (we do get pains and aches when temperature changes just saying but rarely is it enough to throw up with) what he's vomitting over is the fear that Hoenheim is wrong and this is their mother's body and he killed her by making a mistake, it's been tearing him up inside and confronting that fear is heavily traumatic
This why I recommend that people also watch the 2003 anime. Lust and Sloth were done way better there imo, and we didnt have to condense 30 episodes of characterization into 12
Thanks for those reactions! Been soooo long since I last watched it, I had completely forgot about that scene when they dug up what they transmuted that day, it's though
YESSS MUSTANGGGG my favorite character in this show! Welcome to Mustang fandom, Alana 😂 He may look cold on the outside if you don't know him, but he is actually a softie and care A LOT about his people more than himself. Kinda like Levi but Mustang loves to joke around lol 😂
The genius storytelling of fmab like think about it how can someone transmutate someone life when it was never there basic alchemy rule when her mom died her soul went to heaven we can say that so if they were transmutating her mom they got all the physical properties that makes a body right that correct but what about the most important thing of that body it's soul if there mother soul was never there to begin with how can they do that but they perform the taboo nonetheless so something has to be trans muted and that was al soul it transferred to that raw material they collect and then al original body Dissapeared and then Ed sacrifice his parts of body to shift al body from that disfigured shit to the robo body like it all make sense
Mustang can't technically create fire, but he can manipulate it by changing the oxygen level in the air. Kimbley, interestingly enough, can create explosions by destabilizing the molecules in any object that he touches. But those objects must be combustible.
VAGUE SPOILERS FOR LATER IN THE SHOW: The best part about Mustang's obliteration of Lust is how it makes us crave more Mustang-killing-Homunculi action, which, along with the show's continuous reminders that he's on the hunt for Hugh's killer, makes Mustang's eventual lesson become the lesson for the audience as well. I mean, how awesome is it for Roy to burn a twisted evil Homunculus to death, right? How awesome would it be or him to do the same to Hugh's killer, right?
The FMAB/manga Lust is actually a flat character with no nuances or character development. I think Hiromu Arakawa lost interest in her or perhaps hated her. But Lust from FMA 2003 is a round character with insane amount of character development. If you compare both Lusts, you'll definitely love the Lust from the original FMA series. Though the FMAB Lust claims she is a human, in reality she is sadistic being with nothing but loathing for humans. The 2003 Lust, on the other hand, wanted to be human at all costs. In short, the 2003 Lust is a waifu and FMAB Lust is a bitch.

my bf said he'd leave me for roy - i don't blame him
LMAO💀
Episode 19; where everyone gets their _hots_ for Mustang, and their love for this show gets truly _ignited_
when you mentioned that you had a crush on Mustang in the last vid, I thought "oh boy you're gonna love ep 19 👀"
and that i did 😩🤌🤍

not only the manga, when they talk with bradley you can see the scar in his hand of him carving the transmutation circle

Ep 19 and Mustang's utter cremation of Lust is even more hilarious when you consider that his English VA and her English VA are married.
I’m not sure if this is true, but I heard that they weren’t married at the time of making their lines for the show.

"Mustang is THE man", exactly! Roy is an another level. So fu**ing badass.

Well I'm straight man and still have crush on Mustan sooo...
The body was created by Ed & Al from base elements, similar to how Mustang created a fake corpse, only more advanced. It didn't come from a real person, which is why the proportions of the skeleton were off.
I love how Lust's last thoughts while getting burned to death is basically "yo this guy kinda hot tho ngl"
the author really made us liking a meat chopping mass murderer, and in the manga there's even more comedic moment with him, RIP Barry
The screams are even better in the dub in my opinion, always gives me chills. Such a great episode.
It's neck on neck. Both were amazing imo.
@@shaolinfang3520 "neck on neck"?? It's "neck and neck."
The sub translation was wrong he carved the transmutation circle into his hand
i thought that’s what happened based on how the circle looked on his hand😭 a true badass

It really does keep getting better and better (: always looking foward for this uploads
I clicked to see the Mustang simping. I was not disappointed.
In these 2 chapters i realizes that FMAB is the greatest anime ever, and that Mustang is the greatest anime side character ever
I couldn't believe Lust died like that, but Mustang was so badass.
Oh shit, you say? Naw, oh yeah! Alphonse making that stand is when a boy became a man!
They killed off Lust and Barry way too soon imo. One was such a total badass and the other was such a funny character.
dont worry the have 7 stronger than lust😅
This why I recommend that people also watch the 2003 anime. Lust and Sloth were done way better there imo, and we didnt have to condense 30 episodes of characterization into 12
I watched both sub and dub I'm so used to the dub one it's 🔥🔥🔥😅
Fun fact: In the English dub, the voice actors for Lust and Mustang are actually married
The Father can only remake the homonculi if he first reabsorbes their Philosopher's Stones. Lust's was destroyed, so she's gone for good.
Thanks for those reactions! Been soooo long since I last watched it, I had completely forgot about that scene when they dug up what they transmuted that day, it's though
Ed: and what are you two doing
Ling: Eating a delicious dinner!?
9:27 "Ohhh looord" LMAO
Last episode: Mustang was at central calling Hawkeye, next one is next to her - he teleports for fak sake.
Greed’s stone was preserved and reabsorbed by the Father. Lust’s stone is gone gone gone.
YESSS MUSTANGGGG my favorite character in this show! Welcome to Mustang fandom, Alana 😂 He may look cold on the outside if you don't know him, but he is actually a softie and care A LOT about his people more than himself. Kinda like Levi but Mustang loves to joke around lol 😂
this episode got the fullmetal fans quacking in their pants, especially about mustang!

Gotta say I think I like the dub version of ep19 better
FMA was always known for good dubs
Yeayyyy
This show is a masterpiece. It's right up there with Kimetsu no Yaiba, Shingeki no Kyojin, Death Note, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Monsuta.
This show is way way WAY better than Kimetsu no Yaiba and Jujutsu Kaisen lol. And wtf is Monsuta
Hell no! Nothing can rival these 4 shows especially kimetsu no yaiba!
