I definitely learned something because I’m looking at a 2007 G 35 sedan that won’t go over 30 miles an hour. I thought maybe it was stuck in limp mode for some reason.
@@bandosqueeze5041 never got to figure it out, ended up selling it instead three different mechanics couldn’t figure it out. It wasn’t the cats because I had no cats. It was straight piped.
@@liljiggy5009 no there was no cats on this thing. It was straight piped every time I brought it to the mechanic they could not figure out what was going on. No codes were coming up. No check engine, light or anything.
My g35 doing the same thing it's like the second gadget doesn't move for about 5 seconds of pushing down on the gas pedal but it gets up after it gets over 30
Appreciate the vid bud. New sub 👍🏼. Did it have a CEL light on? I have a 05 automatic sedan and it’s started doing something similar recently but it’s not throwing any codes 😕.
I had a check engine light for misfire, not for poor running from what I remember. It is possible you might have the same issue as me. What have you checked?
I’m having the same no throttle response at all issue replaced TB and pedal sensor still no throttle response help would be greatly appreciated 2005 g35x
my 03 g35coupe has litte acceleration in drive, cel on, replaced maf, throttle body, camshaft p sensor, ecu resets nothing. revs fine in neutral or drive with brakes held. In drive it struggles hitting 3krpm little acceleration. took it to several mechanics and they dont know, id appreciate some sound advice haha, bad transmission maybe?? i do drive around in it it just takes like 30 seconds or so to reach 60mph lol
@shrekrecker were you able to find out which cylinder is an issue? Knock sensor: what is it saying the issue is, voltage, range? O2 sensor, which one, and what's the description of the issue?
@@SouthdownGarage well i have a cheapo obd scanner that just tells me the code, ill go and tackle each code, do you think its in limp mode? because even when i clear codes and do an ecu reset, the issue persists. thanks for responding btw
@shrekrecker misfire most likely is the low power. It will make it really hard to gain RPM. Sometimes, knock will detune your engine to some degree, but usually not in the way your describing. O2 sensor if it's the 1st one on either bank will make fuel economy the worst if they go, and it's not good for your engine. But it won't effect your performance in most cases. However, if your O2 sensor is catalyst efficiency, it could point to the same issue I had...that your cats are plugged. Easiest way to test that is to remove both #1 O2 sensors on each side of the engine, just before the cats. If it runs better, the issue is the cats. Just be ready to replace those sensors afterward.
Hey man i would really appreciate your help i got a 2006 g35 coupe, i can put it into drive and reverse but it wont have any power or throttle response I decided to replace the pedal, throttle body and mass airflow sensor and now it will let me rev it slowly on park and N but it still don’t got power but it won’t trow no check engine lights or anything to give me an idea on where else to look, any ideas that you could give me?
@@juanb235 the cats were plugged on mine. Make sure you test it first before removing them permanently, if you remove the cats for testing, see if the engine revs up fine. If it does, you have the same issue as me. I put in test pipes once I confirmed the cats were the issue. If you don't have the money, a person could punch out the material and it would be the same as installing test pipes. Just be ready to replace the hardware out of the header, as it will probably break. FYI.

@John Rees I actually never thought of using the thermometer, but good call. I guess the right tool I should have use is a back pressure gauge, but then you'll usually require a new 02 sensor after lol.
