These videos are the only content on all youtube that I will consistently watch every episode of. It's not quite as mad and fun as the original podcast was, but you still get to see the personality shining through in places, and obviously the insight is always top notch

The mad and fun part of the original podcast was just its last stage. The 2018 World Cup era remains my favourite, quite similar to these videos from the last year, with a nice contrast between Joe and the slow and sometimes monosylabic input from Alex and a French (?) designer guy (Philippe?), and also the contrast with the background pub noise. Then they got themselves a tiny studio and the shows got extremely dry, mostly dialogues between a host and a guest because I don't think they had more room. I think that's when Seb joined. Jon has been doing something similar this last year on the pod feed. Then the pod got fun and then in the last year it got proper silly, which was wonderful. Stay tuned because a return has just been teased!

The advantage I feel that England have is a little bit of experience in our players, a bit more aggression and strength. And we might be a bit more flexible, we've made quite a few tactical changes over the tournament, we've also seen Spain play at their best and we can hopefully learn from that whereas I feel like England haven't yet so Spain may not know what we are going to do. Their tactics extend to being solid, cautious, and hard to beat and their natural conservatism allows them to deal with most systems adequately well. The players continually come out in interviews after games and between them making comments about how the England squad is tight-knit and that the culture is helping them manage the intangibles. They seem to value that aspect of Southgate’s management and therefore play harder for him, despite the tactical issues that England have experienced. Without trashing his tactics, Southgate’s influence on the game against the Netherlands only came when he put on Watkins and Palmer. England’s success in the first half was good players exploiting a poor decision pre-game by Koeman, which was solved in the second half, again by changes Koeman made. The relative passivity is frustrating to watch.

Really think England should go with a 3-4-1-2 with Guehi,Stones,Walker,Shaw,Kobbie,Rice,Saka,Foden,Kane and Watkins..really need someone on that left hand side who will be a goal threat and can still work that channel,Bellingham is a very good player but really think he can be brought in later because it is either he plays or Foden players or he plays and Rice misses out.

Fans yelling X manager out is no different to the attitude people have to club managers too. It points to a broader issue with how people support clubs and wish their manager was Guardiola winning almost every game. Is it worth discussing that managers like Guardiola are the exception not the mean and we all need to come to terms with that and stop the rollercoaster changes of managers?

De la fuente has done a great job with this spainish team, spain have been the best team, played the best football and have played more stronger, and better teams and beaten them, they are a technical team with quality football that also also have the best players in this tournament lamine, nico, olmo,, fabian, and rodri, while england have been horrible, their overhype stars have failed to live up to the hype, they have played and struggled to beat smaller football nations. Spain is the strongest and best team england will play in this tournament.

Not sure if detail helps now. To win, England improve in most departments and stay where they are in the other depts. Let’s not be too specific! Average England loses 2-0 or worse. Above average England goes down by the odd goal or goes to ET and/or pens and hide behind the sofa. England on a higher plane wins this unless Spain have still more gears. I don’t actually think they do, I think we’ve already seen their best selves. That’s no bad thing for England. They’re going to be concentrating entirely on playing their football, and not getting into England’s football. England will play any game that they find themselves in. I have no idea who comes out on top but it’s definitely not a Spain walkover.
