This feels like an issue of doing Sensible Transfers in the middle of the transfer market, some players suggested are already going elsewhere (Miovski going to Gerona) or you end up with just choosing players that are already linked/in discussions with the club (Thiaw/Guehi). I do really like these videos, but it feels like they’d be better released early in the market.
Think Brentford would have wanted big cash for him, which given they’re likely to lose Toney is understandable. There doesn’t seem to be much money to spend outside of Chelsea

Howe will only sign players without PL experience if they’re elite talents. The only (first team) signings he’s made who hadn’t played in the PL before they joined are: Bruno, Botman, Isak & Tonali who are all world class potential level. Only 4 non-PL signings in 6 windows says a lot about how much he values PL experience hence Guehi and the Madueke / Elanga links

Selling Almiron and Wilson for say 20/25m combined would help fund the deals but I don't think Brentford would let Mbuemo go, more likely we'll make a late move for Chiesa or Madueke after the Guehi deal is secured. Not to be pedantic as well but Mbeumo wouldn't be a record signing :/ especially if he signs right after a 65m signing.

As a Porto fan let me say Francisco Conceição is definitely ready for the Premier League. He was Porto's best player last season and what he lacks in strengh and height he makes up for in aceleration and agility. He's a difference maker and most portuguese thought he should've been starting for the national team in the Euros on the right wing instead of Bernardo Silva, moving Bernardo to the middle. His release clause of 45M€ is a joke so I do hope the Newcastle board also has doubts on wether he's ready or not so we can keep him for another year

I'm sure we'll sign a RW but i'm also happy to start the season with Murphy and not rush into any knee jerk signings. Even if we signed a RW today, knowing Howe it would be 4 games before they even start

Victor Roque is not a sensible transfer as he’s a £26 million development project. While I do think he will settle in Newcastle better than Barcelona (Joelinton and Gumaraes will keep him in line), Newcastle does not have the luxury of spending so much, in 2024, on a striker who will need year to learn the Premier League. From the one match that William Osula played in, he’s already shown team integration and plenty of potential.
Gordon can slot in there too with Barnes going LW. It's not essential if Wilson can stay fit. RW and CB are essential for now. I'd be happy with one more maybe.
My 3 picks would be Djalo from Juve (€15 million), Isaksen from Lazio (€20 million) and Giuliano Simeone from Atletico Madrid (€15 million). Total outlay less than 1 Guehi during difficult FFP period
