  • Nicknamed The King of the Transfer Window, Fabrizio Romano is probably the most famous football journalist in the world, with almost 100 million followers on social media.
    His rise from teenage blogger to global stardom is inspirational - but Romano isn't infallible.
    In this video, HITC Sevens takes a look at some of Fabrizio Romano's stranger tendencies and posting habits, the potential reasons behind them, and why I recently described him in somewhat unflattering terms.

      People just don't understand what "second chance" means. Second chances are effective only if the person is punished for the original crime because punishment serves as a deterrent, reinforces accountability, and emphasizes the seriousness of the offense. Without consequences, there's no motivation for genuine change or understanding of the wrongdoing, which undermines the potential for reform and increases the risk of repeated offenses. Greenwood has not been punished.
      Playing for a top division la liga or ligue 1 side for more money than anyone of us will ever make instead of playing for man united is not a punishment, it's just man u moving him away so he can stop being their problem

    I'm a fan of Marseille, born and raised. I love this club more than most of things and I have accepted a lot of shit out of love for this team. Greenwood is the line which has been crossed. I refuse to watch my team while he's still working for my club, even as a janitor. But I'm the bad guy in social medias about the club (official or just fanclubs) for saying that, despite charges being dropped, he has done it. People say "but his gf forgave him / everybody makes mistakes". But tax fraud and domestic violences aren't the same kind of mistakes. Besides, whenever I asked if they heard the audios, nothing. That's the main problem : people haven't heard the audio. This is the key difference between him and other players which have been accused of crimes : proofs are available for everyone to see. Otherwise, I will never tell someone's guilty based on accusations without proofs. Which are important.
    When I see the amount of publications about him from Romano, I suspect that Greenwood paid him.

He may be a disgusting human being but the opportunity that he represents for a club like Getafe or OM is immense, especially in France where clubs are poor as. This is in no way justification, I'm just saying it shouldn't surprise you that he has ended up at OM and may one day play for an even bigger club, there's 0 legal basis to say he shouldn't and that's the only thing businesses consider, business. If United could've kept him without protests they would've. So good on the fans for making noise, that is their role. I also wouldn't say it is being swept under the rug, nobody is unaware of it and nobody will forget it, he will be booed everywhere he goes including at home. The fact that clubs are willing to sign a player with 0 legal problems but several PR problems isn't it being swept under the rug, they've been dragged through the mud for it and their own PR will take a hit. Came on to find an expose on how romano gets precise transfer calls, or if he ever failed one. But no, it had to be a total slander job of a successful media person, just because he posts uncritical back to back updates on a player he loves to hate. Who I should add, was let off the hook by his accuser herself!!! While I enjoyed the roast of Jordan (who?), and shared his disdain of the white elephant called Saudi league, his uppity self-righteousness us starting to go beyond the pale

    My conspiracy theory (based on the rumour that there is a buy back clause);
    United sold Greenwood rather than loaning him because it allowed them to look like they have a moral compass, so fans like myself wouldn't stop engaging with the club. They sold Greenwood to Marseille knowing full well that Greenwood has an ability level thats too high to be playing in France. They'll let him play there for a few years, scoring lots of goals, giving some morally maladjusted fans FOMO. United sign him up again, after years of good publicity, which they paid Romano for, through a buy back clause which rewards Marseille with a couple of million euros for their troubles.

    I'm sorry to break this down to you, but in real life, not this Internet business, this is how the world works. People do what they have to reach success, or the highest version of it they can get. Same goes for people who work online. They don't have to appeal to the 1% of population that makes everything about today's 'culture' of canceling or being extremely left or all about the victim mentality. In real life, people don't care about the topics that critically online people care about. The guy is doing nothing but his job, getting clicks and interactions. It's not his fault Greenwoood has a huge following, also helps he has a huge hater following. If you can't separate his job, from who he his and feel the need to hate him for acting on reality, I'm sorry but you are jealous he's a better journalist.
    I also don't like Fabrizio, but it's because I feel like transfer journalists take the magic out of the market, but I accept he has a job to be done, and a life to take care of

    You should talk about the insane downfall of Achilles '29 and how they fell down so hard so quick. In the 16/17 season, they were in the Eerste Divisie (2nd tier of Dutch football and one step away from the Eredivisie) and got relegated, and here's what happened next:
    Eerste Divisie 16/17: 20th/20th (Relegated)
    Tweede Divisie 17/18: 18th/18th (Relegated)
    Derde Divisie 18/19: 18th/18th (Relegated)
    --In both 19/20 and 20/21, Hoofdklasse was cancelled due to Covid, but Achilles '29 finished 16th/16th both times--
    Hoofdklasse 21/22: 15th/16th (Relegated)
    Eerste Klasse Zaterdag D 22/23: 12th/13th (Relegated)
    Right now, there are in the Tweede Klasse, the 7th tier of Dutch football. It's a league so obscure that you can't even find any standings of it online, no matter how hard you search. This meant that Achilles '29 went from the 2nd tier of Dutch football, which is considered Professional football, all the way down to the 7th tier of Dutch Football, which is considered Regional Amateur Football, all in just 6 years. That's crazy.
