Good ranking!!! I like to see Dance of Death be given the love it deserves, I adore that album, kind of how you like Brave New World. Wouldn't say it's my second favorite but it's high up. Also nice to see the debut shown the love it deserves!

Great choice for best Iron Maiden song! With epic part 'One after one, by the star dogged moon....too quick for groan of sigh.....' Best song of all time
The thing that has always puzzled me the most about Iron Maiden album rankings is the low placement of Fear Of The Dark. Even on this channel it’s continued and in people’s rankings. It is without a doubt their most underrated album in my opinion, should be ranked in the middle. I think Powerslave and Brave New World are a little overrated.
Your top 3 is basically identical to mine, except I tend to put Somewhere in Time on top. I do go back and forth between Somewhere in Time and Brave New World. The Brave New World title track hits me hard every time; it's so melancholy and profound. But Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner is probably my favorite workout song of all-time. Powerslave is insanely good and The Duelist is a very, very special song for me, in the running for my favorite, but the other two just slightly edge it out. As a child of the 80's, Somewhere in Time is the perfect gestalt of all the 80's greatest musical tendencies, the Devastator of 80's music if you will.
Surprised nobody has ranked AMOLAD first. That is Maiden's real masterpiece, with Powerslave close behind. But AMOLAD has to be listened to quite a few times and lyrics are a must, or else you'll never fully appreciate. And for those of us who were fortunate to see it played live in '06 from start to finish, I'm sure that experience bumps it up the rankings list for most. Probably the most impressive 72 minutes I've seen from any band in concert. Stunning.
Solid rankings if judging by what I have. My #16, #15, #14 and #13 is exactly the same as yours. Also good to see Brave New World and Seventh Son get the kind of respect they deserve imo. Some Maiden fans rank Brave New World nearly last of the 16 and I've never understood it. One thing I don't get. You say Piece of Mind would be a perfect album if not for 2 bad songs that you wish were off the album. How about just skip those 2 songs? Now you have your perfect album.
1. Number Of The Beast 2. Piece Of Mind 3. Brave New World 4. Somewhere In Time 5. Powerslave 6. Dance Of Death 7. Killers 8. Iron Maiden 9. Seventh Son .. 10 A Matter Of Life And Death

Somewhere In Time was the first album I heard from them and made me a fan of them :) and after all these years and after I've listened to all the albums of the band many times, it's still my favorite album...other favorite albums, Piece Of Mind, The Number Of The Beast, 7th Son Of A 7th Son and Dance Of Death, Dance Of Death, for me at least, is the best album since Bruce returned to the band...the "not so good" albums of the band are, again for me, Virtual XI, No Prayer For The Dying, Fear Of The Dark and The Final Frontier...the albums with Di Anno were good, not as good as the ones I mentioned, but good...the X-Factor was definitely better than Virtual XI, I even liked it more than No Prayer For The Dying and Fear Of The Dark...again, nice video :)

@Quest for metal You said you've never heard something like Journeyman before. We'll. Try Arc of Space, from 1997 Bruce's solo album Accident of Birth. You have the seed right there

Brave New World at #2 is incomprehensible but at least you didn't put it at the top, props for that, lol. Also, go easier on the ads. I never sub to channels that think they can harass their viewers with ads every four minutes.
I usually only do it at the start but RUclips has a habit of automatically doing it so I must have missed this vid so cheers turned the mid ads off now

It's funny to hear someone say brave new world got them into maiden. Great list I cant argue. They dont know how to put out a bad album even with blaze bailey they rock.
1 The number of the beast. 2 Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. 3 Iron Maiden. 4 Killers. 5 Somewhere in time. 6 Powerslave. 7 Piece of mind. 8 Fear of the dark. 9 Senjustu. 10 No prayer for the dying.
Yeah brother Blaze's voice just did not work within Maiden. But, i saw Wolfsbane in the very early nineties and they were immense. For me Seventh Son is my top Maiden album.
Well done, Lad! Powerslave is not only Maiden's best album, but I argue it is the best metal album of all time. Pound for pound, chord for chord, it can go toe to toe with master of Puppets, Reign In Blood, Painkiller, or you name it..... Iron Maiden at the absolute top of their game kicking ass and taking names. I'm happy when I see other people agree with me! And thanks for defending No Prayer For The Dying... I don't know why so many people shit on it like they do. Did they even listen to it???? The album flat out rocks. I guess it's hard to get on board after a gem like Seventh Son, but saying it sucks??? Those that hate can put down and piss off.
X-Factor is in my Top 3, fantastic album. people just hate it be cause 'muuh Blaze''. X-Factor is the last great album by Maiden imo. my favorite still Somewher ein Time

Sun and steel is a great song, highly underrated, you take that back sir!
It’s brilliant. If it was in the first half of the album or even a single then most people would like it I guarantee. It’s so catchy, what’s the problem?
It smokes pretty much anything they've put out in the last 15 years. Not that I hate their newer stuff, I just don't get people disliking that song

4: somewhere in time- great production and songwriting.
5: fear of the dark- great cover art and, other than weekend warrior, every song is great.
6: killers
7: piece of mind
8: brave new world
9: a matter of life and death
10: iron maiden- great album but the production does bring it down.

13: dance of death
14: the final frontier
15: the X factor
16: virtual XI
I respect this list. Maybe change the top two around but not bad.
This ranking made me realize just how many classic albums Maiden have released. They’ve got like 9 to 11 stone cold classics, which is INSANE to think about.

Good ranking!!! I like to see Dance of Death be given the love it deserves, I adore that album, kind of how you like Brave New World. Wouldn't say it's my second favorite but it's high up.
Also nice to see the debut shown the love it deserves!
A Matter of Life and Death is basically The X Factor but with Bruce

Great choice for best Iron Maiden song!
With epic part 'One after one, by the star dogged moon....too quick for groan of sigh.....'
Best song of all time
Love your list. Don’t agree but I respect how these songs make you feel and in the end that is all that matters.
I'm old so Piece of Mind got me into the band but surprisingly Seventh Son is my favorite. Agree that No Prayer gets a bum rap.
Hey Questy, just discovered your channel through Bryce - there's A LOT of content waiting for me♥ I especially enjoy the album rankings.
“Stranger in a Strange Land”, one of the most underrated Maiden songs.
it has clip,i doubt thay it`s underrated
The thing that has always puzzled me the most about Iron Maiden album rankings is the low placement of Fear Of The Dark. Even on this channel it’s continued and in people’s rankings. It is without a doubt their most underrated album in my opinion, should be ranked in the middle.
I think Powerslave and Brave New World are a little overrated.
Yeah it feels like everyone loves and everyone talks about it but at the same time its like they don't like it
@@connerkz5771 It’s great
@@JCStorm76 yeah I know
@@JCStorm76 definitely one of my favorites but my true favorite is Somewhere In Time
@@connerkz5771 My favourite as well 👍🏻
Your top 3 is basically identical to mine, except I tend to put Somewhere in Time on top.
O yeah literally identical to my list
Unpopular opinion, but the X-Factor is one of my favorite Maiden albums :)
Most people say "unpopular opinion but..." and proceed to say something really tame but holy shit that is a truly unpopular opinion ! Congrats man !
The seX Factor
The best tracks off the two Blaze albums would make a great single one
I also like it very much
X-Factor is better than every albums Maiden release after.
The rhyme of the ancient mariner is my favorite maiden song too!
1. A Matter of Life and Death
2. Dance of Death
3. X Factor
4. Fear of the Dark
5. Killers
Based pfp
Surprised nobody has ranked AMOLAD first. That is Maiden's real masterpiece, with Powerslave close behind. But AMOLAD has to be listened to quite a few times and lyrics are a must, or else you'll never fully appreciate. And for those of us who were fortunate to see it played live in '06 from start to finish, I'm sure that experience bumps it up the rankings list for most. Probably the most impressive 72 minutes I've seen from any band in concert. Stunning.
1. Piece of Mind
2. Brave New World
3. Somewhere in Time
4. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
5. Iron Maiden
6. Book of Souls
1. Number Of The Beast
2. Piece Of Mind

Great List Man, But Where Would Senjutsu Go?
Best five are Iron Maiden, Seventh Son, Brave New World, Piece of Mind and Somewhere in Time. Worst is No Prayer for the Dying.
Would you do a ranking on Venom?
Somewhere in time is my best, I wish the band would play more songs from it.

I love "Quest for fire" lol.
it's a fucking abortion of a song.
I love the whole album except Quest for Fire. Such a boring song to me, but to each their own.
@Quest for metal You said you've never heard something like Journeyman before. We'll. Try Arc of Space, from 1997 Bruce's solo album Accident of Birth. You have the seed right there

for me as die hard fan the only album i don't really like is No Prayer to the Dying and my favorite is A Metter of Life and Dead
my holy trinity : seven son, somewhere, powerslave
Brave New World at #2 is incomprehensible but at least you didn't put it at the top, props for that, lol. Also, go easier on the ads. I never sub to channels that think they can harass their viewers with ads every four minutes.
I usually only do it at the start but RUclips has a habit of automatically doing it so I must have missed this vid so cheers turned the mid ads off now
1 Somewhere in time
2 TNOTB
3 Killers
4 7th Son

Before watching Brave New world has to be number 1

1. The Number of the Beast - Gangland sucks, the rest is an instant classic
2. Seventh Son - Maiden in perfection
3. Brave New World - No bad song on the album

7. The Book of Souls - Maiden back to old class
8. Piece of Mind - first five songs are great, the rest is ok
9. Dance of Death - terrible cover, but the title track and Paschendale are master pieces
10. Fear of the Dark - title track and afraid to shoot strangers are brillant, the rest is mediocre
11. X Factor - better than it's reputation. WOuld be much higher with Bruce
12. Killers - I prefer the debut.
13. A Matter of Live and death - Not bad, but also not great
14. The Final Frontier - Didn't click for me, but didn't hurt either

5 Somewhere in time.
6 Powerslave.
7 Piece of mind.
