You should move the some of capped honey to the colony that doesn’t have any honey for the winter.

I’ve lived in Colorado in the Denver metro area and in Colorado Springs and I have family in Colorado.
Note: when it dips down into the teens and single digits at night during the day, just note that you’ll probably get snow. Don’t matter what the weather says because they’re not always right. On things like this plan for snow at all times. And if you don’t get snow great, and if you do, you will be prepared.
I’ve lived in Colorado long enough to know that sometimes the weather is wrong and then you’re SOL.
We both have family in Colorado
And Bruce was born and raised in Colorado.

Love those tips, and that is so very true with the weather. 😊

    Great video!
Today's temp has been below freezing here on the front range.
I enjoyed seeing your helpers working with you.
Stay warm, dry & healthy & safe! 😊

Thank you! I was not ready for these temps. 🥶 We had no power up here this morning until about 10 minutes ago. There is so much snow, but we all could use the moisture! Hope you're staying warm too! ❤️

Saw a video that said you can feed cake fondant to your bees in the winter to help them through when they don't have honey stores.

Bees sound like so much work!! I’ll stick to purchasing honey at the store lol but if you sell yours I’ll definitely buy some! Curious how much snow y’all got- Mom in Northglenn said her area was predicted 2-10” but 2 ft in mountains. Stay safe and warm Angela and fam! ❤ love from south TX

They are!! It's a learning experience, but it's honestly very interesting. We've learned a lot so far. Next year, we will get to harvest honey if they make it through the winter! 🤞 We got about 11 inches, but some higher areas got 12-14. Mike has been out plowing since about 3 this morning. He came home to plug our generator in for the fridges and freezers. We lost power for about 5 hours this morning. Just came back on, thankfully. He went back out to finish his routes. Good amount of snow, we need the moisture, but I was not ready for these temps!! ❤️❤️❤️
