- Officials in Buffalo, New York, want an investigation into the firing of a black police officer who intervened when a white colleague had a suspect in a chokehold.
The incident happened in November 2006. At the time, Officer Cariol Horne had served 19 of the 20 years needed to receive her pension, a spokesperson for Horne told CNN.
But Horne was fired for intervening and did not qualify for her pension, the city said.
"The message was sent that you don't cross that blue line and so some officers -- many officers don't," said Horne in an interview with CNN's Brianna Keilar.

The police force isn't created for good officers, especially unionized ones. Any officer with good intentions will either quit from being overwhelmed by the corruption or they will be fired when they don't go along with the immorality. Many "good" cops turn "bad" just to have a job.

Now research how many lives have been lost to police brutality in Minneapolis alone.

She deserved more than what she won, her life was ruined, she was sued and lost a $65k lawsuit from that POS officer for defamation and was homeless after the trial. She deserves millions and the BPD needs to pay for their misdeeds.

I have been saying this for YEARS! I have lost friends over this! This cop's story is NOT an isolated event. When Trooper Donna Watts arrested a city cop for breaking the law it was OTHER COPS who harassed her to the point where she feared for her life and had to resign because it affected her health. It was COPS who said that if they ever heard that she had an active shooter situation, they would just not respond and back her up. And DOZENS upon DOZENS of other cops agreed! Because she did her job and arrested a cop who broke the law and put innocent civilians IN DANGER.. REPEATEDLY, they said they would leave her to DIE. THAT is exactly the attitude most cops in this country have, and it proves there is something very, VERY wrong with the system.

Ms. Cariol deserves her pension. To hear that she was stripped of that just 1year before retirement and giving 19years of service to her community is truly disheartening. Praise God that NOW the protesters are causing so many issues like this come to light. George Floyd would still be alive had one of those officers took the courage to make a stand.
