Catherine was Gamebyro. P5 was the first game to use GFD Personally I blame it on the dull looking environments (2D art looks great tho) and low quality texture work. Its embarrassing this game looks worse than P5, a PS3 game and SMTV, a game originally made for Switch and yet SMTV looks a gen ahead of Metaphor.
I don't understand why everyone always says there's a $700 difference but the regular Playstation costs $500 which means there's a $200 difference plus the PS5 Pro has 1,15 tb more ssd wich would cost at least 100$ in addition, wich makes it a 100$ difference in total
It's not for everyone, but for the enthusiast who wants the best from its console. I think for the price, value is there. Is it for everyone ? Absolutely not. But as far as I'm concern, I'm more that happy with my purchase. But like you said, in "your" opinion, it's not woth it. And that's perfectly fine ! IMO, it does :)
@@Champ2Times_ Same here, was able to sell my base PS5 for a good amount since there was few PS5 selling on Marketplace in my location. In fact, I was the only one selling a base ps5 disc edition.
It was performing ok on base PS5 but it was obvious that framerate was very inconsistent. I'm also happy to report that this is night and day with the PS5 Pro. Still have 40-50 hours in front of me on PS5 Pro, awesome :) Game boost is IMO an underrated benefit that comes with this new console.
@@enelanonimato6704 It's not that unstable framerates make games "unplayable". It's that it can distract from the fun if you are particularly sensitive to changes in frame pacing or stutters. It breaks immersion. For many people, that isn't the case though, so it's nothing to worry about. The PS5 Pro (like higher end PC GPUs) is a niche product for enthusiasts. It's definitely not an essential purchase. As a PC gamer, I can understand why people would want a better experience if they have the cash to spare and feel the need on a personal level.

Still crazy to me how laggy this game is. I have a mid tier PC (5800x and 3070) and couldn't even always get 60fps at 1440p. Especially in the last dungeon it was super laggy.
"lazy" when they did already add it on pc, not sure if they can add for console or improve it due to this old engine. Before you say it yes they already moving away from the engine.

The 2009 Catherine/P5 engine go BRRRRRRR
Even P5 was looking/performing better IMO. This game is fantastic artistically, but technically it's kind of a mess. But it's a lot of fun though :P

GFD is very much gamebryo lol.

You must be really slow. Ps5 is $425 all day on amazon with disc drive. Ps5 pro is $700 and another $130 for a disc drive. Have common sense
@AngryTroll-j1r irony of this comment. Fullstop fullstop fullstop . Thats still not a 700 dollar difference you absolute dummy .
Because people are dumb
Metaphor definitely benefits from the pro. I still don’t think $700 is worth it imo

oh so a game that doesn't run on at least 60 fps constantly is unplayable for you?
The game was perfect for me. There was never an issue. 😂😂

How about aliasing? Specially in scenes with stairs like at the entrance of the Mustari dungeon... On PS5 is terrible 😢
Is this with VRR on of off?
This is without an official patch as well

Wait the game wasn’t on 60fps on the ps5?
Not 60 locked. Frequent drops at 45. PS5 Pro game boost fixed it without patch.
Still no antialising huh. Atlus devs are so lazy, they still make games like they were on PS3 era.
