Nice to see you like the car :).
Got mine 1 year ago, I like it a lot. I'm kinda biased since I own one, but one of the most fun EV to drive in that price class.
The range is not a problem where I live (Norway), only been fast charged 4 times in 1 year.
The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S are standard in Europe, it's a little disappointing since most reviews I see is from US and the car would probably perform a little better with MPS4S tires than Goodyear.
There is also a Battery Optimizer button in the car for maximum performance (Only in GT). It's on the right screen at the split screen option where you can scroll throught weather, radio, media, EV things. When enabled the car will heat up to 86f (30celsius) or cool down the battery for maximum performance.
Only works over 68% SOC. In the temps you where driving you probably had +-500bhp and not the fully 577bhp (585hp).
There is a PreHeat battery function in the EV6, if you navigate to a fast chager with the cars navigation it will preheat the battery for faster charging, works down to 18%. You should get around 200kw charging up to 55% SOC when enabled. Should be enabled 15-60min before charging, depends on battery temp. I have used it and been charging from 25-85% in 18mins.

Some thoughts from an EV6 owner:
For the stated EPA range, the old testing policy for EVs before 2024 was to either average out the most and least economical drive modes (ECO and GT in this case), or to state the worst case scenario only (like Porsche does). 300mi is definitely achievable driving an EV 6GT in the city in ECO mode only, even if you start your drive with the battery at 80-90% as recommended; maybe in Normal mode too if you aren't too aggressive at the lights (its so much fun tho).
The car would have charged faster if battery pre-conditioning was enabled; you'd have seen a red coil icon on the battery% indicator when navigating to the EA station, showing that it was getting the battery pack to the correct temperature for optimal charging. Rather than ramping up from 100kW, it would've started higher, peaked at ~240kW, and been done in about 15 minutes from 20-80%.

In my experience as a fellow owner, the EPA estimate is close only when driving aggressively. When it's not driven as a GT should be, the range seems to be on par with non-GT trims, which makes sense. For example, yesterday's 62 mile mid-Atlantic region suburb round trip in our '23 GT: we started with an 80% charge, drove a mixture of back roads (25 - 45 mph) and highways (60 - 80 mph) in Normal mode, climate control set to 75°F Auto level 3 Sync, ambient temperatures between 75°F (start) and 82°F (end), and according to the Kia Connect log averaged (31.69 mi + 31.07 mi) / (8.2 kWh + 5.963 kWh) = 62.76 mi / 14.163 kWh = 4.43 miles per kWh,* 74 kWh usable capacity = 327 miles of range.

Nice review for a non EV owner to educate the uneducated about most of the Ev lies! I own the EV6GT for 7 months and 16K miles and I am a driving enthusiast. You are correct about being a sleeper. I am in ATL and Teslas and Rivians are everywhere with many others, but I have a matt silver GT and I have seen one other in the last year. I traded my BMW X3M comp which is a better car and more fun but it now costs $90k. The Kia can be had for less than $60k and is worth every penny. I have a Kona N which I take to the track and will seriously consider the Ioniq 5N once I can pick one up for MSRP of $67k. My experience with the GT being so good for a GT car but I love the out of the box N experience similar to the M. Everything is turned up a notch and with the drive modes becomes 3 cars in one. Please drive the N if you get a chance! Thanks

I have the same GT also in matte silver. Threw some bronze rohannas on it. Looks great, wish there was more aftermarket support for it. But, in all honesty. It's an amazing performance car for the price. I've owned a C8 and amggt. This is almost better because you can actually fit people in it. Definitely a great all in one vehicle choice.

I got mine for $38k with 4k miles. I keep it eco most of the time because it’s still faster than 90% of cars out there.

The range is only becomes an issue if you are doing long road trips at 80mph because it would drop you to like 2.1 mi per kwh. It you are doing road trips at 73 mph that will go up to 2.5-2.7. If you go down to 65 mph you can see can see 2.8 mi per kwh. But the real problem is not range anxiety because you would know and plan your charging, the problem is you would need to let people pass you all the time. You would be so tempted to go faster.

Recently picked one up 2 months ago. What an awesome car it is. True sleeper for someone that wants a fast car but don't want to stand out that much. The 5 N is nice overall as well but it's a lil over stylized imo. I think of i was younger yeah sure but i like my cars too look nice but at the same time not too crazy looking. Plus I wanted an opening sunroof as well. Wish it was an opening pano instead but I'll take it for now. Love everything else about the car. I wanted the Ioniq 5 Limited AWD for the longest time but didn't want to wait until the end of this year for it. The GT is nice inside and out overall for me. While the 5 looks nice on the outside only for me. The inside of the revised 25 looks nice tho, especially the new N-line trim.
Edit: Also thanks for still reviewing this car even after a year of when it came out in the US. Too bad the NA spec got cheapen for dumb reasons. At least give us the MPS tires. 😊 Static projector headlights would've been a lot better as a downgrade not reflectors. Rear sequential turns looked fine to me so wth. Other cars have them so why not the EV6? Lame. Gonna upgrade the rears later this year tho.

Remove the 4 doors, frunk lid, rear door, passenger and backseats and you'll find an increase in performance (not only 0-60 but also range)

The kia dealer near my house in southern California has like 6 new 2023 GTs still for sale ... apparently the novelty has already worn off. And watching the range down down almost like a clock was wild

Very nice! Glad you didn't get stuck in the canyon, although range does seem like a serious limitation.

He did a good job of addressing that at 22:49. Currently (pun intended!), the charging network is limited more than the car.

If Kia's reasons for no powered seats are like Hyundai's for the Ioniq 5 N it'll be because adding motors to the seat would raise them too much.

What are your thoughts on the Hyundai ionic 5 N? Not sure it is worth the price premium over this car.

Because supply is low Dealers are price gouging them with silly market adjustments. Soo no it not worth it. Amazing car to get 2nd hand in a few years.

Just last week I uploaded my review on the EV6 Wind AWD on my channel, but I did get a chance to test drive an EV6-GT a while ago and FELL IN LOVE with it. They're even more affordable now on the pre-owned market, but I'm upside down on my loan so I have to wait a little longer. Lol.

Buying a new ev is beyond dumb right now as the second you drive it off the lot it drops 15k in value. Yeah go spend 60k, put 20k down and in 3 months you are still upside down in the loan. Used with low miles is the best option.
