Wanted to mention, most pokemon with a boosting move and/or def/spdef debuffing moves holding a shell bell can solo most raids ❤
For iron hands, I've been running shell bell as it gives all your dmg moves healing which I think merits some value! Been loving your SV content my friend! So happy you started posting SV stuff, been playing pokemon since I was super young, it's literally my passion haha and to see my favourite content creator jump into one of my fav titles in the series now (amazing content btw) aaaa enjoying this a lot! Happy holidays anyway friend!
Haha love you bud! Happy holidays! I'm glad you love the content!
I should try this. I've been using gloves to boost drain punch and thunder punch.
@@thevalexe5934 oooh that's not a bad option either! Always fun to switch things up so I will try the gloves, thanks v much for the reply!
why is there so much positivity in the comments
@The Valexe Why would you use Gloves? Booster Energy gives 30% boost, gloves only give 10%.
I absolutely loved how u did your break down
Honestly I've just been using Hariyama as a substitute for not having iron hands, tho the dual typing would be nice when facing flying moves.
my headphones died so your pictures help me definitively rewatching with sound great vids you helped me learn how to compete
So glad to help!
There’s also Skeledirge, which can get special attack boosts by doing damage. This is good against bosses that carry taunt.
Also Unaware is a great ability against stat boosters, especially stuff with Moxie.
Also Unaware is a great Ability against boosters like Moxie Salamence.
for iron hands, you can also use focus energy for increase crit chance. my reliable strategy is belly drum, then focus energy, then drain punch. usually OHKO’s or near it
Spicy
How does your iron hands not die after belly drum, with mine I have to drain punch immediately if not i die?
@Kazuki Araya Is it level 100? Maybe retrain it with better EVs. Every guide recommends maxing HP, but that's terrible for Iron Hands. Best to max SpD instead since it's so low.
@@MD-vs9ffYes mine is level 100 and ok I'll maximize it's special defense, thank you.
Great video! I usually raided with my current party. I haven't trained Pokemon specifically for raiding, only for PvP. I'll try the builds you propose. Thanks!
Good video. I have been using Iron Hands for my harder raids. Time to get the others.
This is hands out best video out👍
Along with these beast attackers, remember that higher level raids can still go poorly if the RNG treats you badly. So don't forget to invest in some support mons too. Chansey, Blissey, and Lucarios are great defensive healers, while umbreons, gallades, and corviknights are great environmental supports. Trust me, having a decent support mon in a raid can make or break it, even with these powerhouses.
Taunt and screens are always helpful 😊
A couple days ago I did a raid and someone brought in a ditto, the other 2 alone with me had great pokemon to take it down, but since that ditto kept getting knocked out it missed us up so bad.
Ah that sucks 🥺
1) Ability Shield does NOT block raid Pokemon from neutralizing your Ability. The Ability nullification only lasts for 1 turn anyway, so it's not that big of a deal.
2) Don't max HP on Iron Hands or other Pokemon with high base HP. You get better results putting the EVs directly into defenses. If you're only training one, max HP and max SpD is best for an all-rounder. Hariyama is another one like this. 252 Att / 128 Def / 128 SpD is the best spread.
3) Substitute is great on Calm Mind or Bulk Uppers to block status. Sleep especially can be aweful if you don't have a way to deal with it.
4) Another good set of Pokemon to train are a dedicated set of Ditto slayers. For solo use, the best is are Pokemon that only know moves they are immune to by Typing, not Ability (because Transform keeps the raids original Tera type, but copies your ability). You can hit the Ditto all you want, but it cant touch you (and you dont care how much the AI partners get slaughtered). The absolute best I have found is Weak Armor Ceruledge that only knows Close Combat (2nd place goes to Annihilape, the only other Ghost that learns CC). To cover Ghost Ditto that are immune to this, I'm unsure what the best is but I have Belly Drum Shadow Claw Ursarung prepared. I'll probably replace that with Nasty Plot Fake Tears Hisuian Zoroark once that is available.
Note that Armor Cannon Armarouge will NOT work this way. Yes, you're immune to Fire with your Ability, but so will the Ditto once it Transforms.
1. It literally says the words “was blocked by the ability shield” but yes it is not a must as I said in the video.
2. That is correct, iron hands can get better bulk by investing in defences (spdef mainly) though HP helps it fit that easy to build all purpose style that makes it valuable and usable for every single raid.
3. That is definitely a valid strategy for ditto raids, though I’ve seen a lot of success with false swipe pokemon, as the ditto can never KO anyone but any ally (even ai) can easily get the killing blow (though this doesn’t work on ghosts, so a normal type Pokémon with only a ghost move can deal with ghost ditto)
3 was supposed to be 4*
3 is correct, sub is 👌
Thanks for the info dude, gonna be helpfull soon 👀
Great video missed some I love but great content to help people
Nice information brother
Thanks
just use steel beam and shell bell on your gholdengo, as long as your hp is above half, you will heal back to full after a steel beam, negating the recoil completely because it just does so much damage, also i wouldnt run shadow ball, just make it steel tera type and use flash cannon instead, flash cannon is good because if the raid pokemon sets up its shield you need to somehow charge your tera orb and flash cannon does just that, you cant charge your tera orb with steel beam, because if the shield is up you wont deal enough damage to heal back up. either way dont use make it rain in raids, -1 special attack is a huge drawback, might as well use flash cannon instead.
I've looked at a few guides like this because I'm struggling with 5 star raids. I made a Shiny Annihilape with the required stats etc and yeh it doesn't seem to work like you guys show it does, I either get wiped out before proccing bulk up / screech X3 or it just drags to time out. I was fortunate to be sent a shiny iron hands too which I built up using a guide bit again, it just doesn't work like guides show. I really don't understand haha😂
Are they lvl 100? Perhaps youre taking them into fairy raids that are hitting them a bit hard on the special side?
@@Louched yup level 100, all stats and nature's etc. Could be yes.
Try hyper training
@@abyss6945 I feel the same way, but it usually depends what Pokemon I'm fighting if they got super effective attack yeah my Pokemon is screwed so I have multiple of different Pokemon capable of raiding. So fair I got 5 but working on leveling now
@@TheDragonfriday good advice, I'm doing the same now, just wish in a game full of mons that it wasn't "you have to use this one" 🤣
Qestion: can some one tell me if i have anihilape with poison tera is this good or bad bc ikd enything
It's not amazing, it does help you shed the fairy weakness, but definitely not the most ideal
Thx i just educeted my self and probobly change the tera type
Gholdengo I’ve maxed sp. att. And then defense and special defense then metal sound nasty plot and whatever special move does super effective on the raid as it gets a lot of powerful special moves
You are missing a Pokemon. Heracross for Ditto Tera Raids in Single Player when Ditto is not Ghost Teratype.
Heracross
Ability:Guts
Nature:Lonely in other words +Atk -Def
Item:Muscle Band
Teratype:Normal
Attack 1:Sword Dance
Attack 2:Leer
Attack 3:False Swipe
Attack 4:Empty Slot
Attack EV:252
Attack IV:31
Note:Optional you can max as you want the other stats of Heracross except Defense and HP. Remember that Ditto with his hidden ability or his attack copies your stats.
Strategy:
Turn 1-3:Sword Dance for max you Attack
Turn 4-6:Leer for reduce Ditto defense to half
Turn 7-?: Attack with False Swipe until that Ditto stay 1HP
Final Turn:Cheer! > Go all out! (If necessary, the times that I have done this strategy it was not necessary, since the NPCs attacked in the same turn that I used the last False Swipe)
Ditto doesn’t copy your HP, but that sets def fun for it 😊
It copies all your stats except for hp, it gets one shot because of the low defence, but that’s a good strat for solo 😊
@@Louched You're right but Ditto if copy the other statistics.
Just tried this out and it worked perfectly! Thanks for the tip!
Better strat is to just use a Pokemon that's immune to its own moves (by typing, not ability). Like Weak Armor Close Combat Ceruledge (or CC Annihilape). For ghost ditto, Belly Drum Shadow Claw Ursaring.
great suggestion
Worked very good ;)
Wouldn't it good to also run Flutter mane with big root to increase how much health is regained with draining kiss?
You can do that 😊
Literally never been able to get the Rage Fist strat to work. By the time you lower defense the terra pokemon resets stats on both sides.
Clear amulet on iron hands. Would not get status debuff.
Clear amulet is a great item for raids :)
Clear amulet doesn't block in raids
That's only for stat reductions that are used on your pokemon. It doesn't protect from status effects, like sleep, burn, paralysis.
So Ability Shield prevents the negation of positive stat changes?
No that still happens, it negates the negation of your ability, though it’s honestly not a huge deal and you’ll be fine with another item
Whats the app you're using?
Pokémon Showdown
Lechonk also gives 1 HP EV.
I mean to max out their stats it's much quicker to just buy vitamins requires a little more raid grinding but you get the added benefit of experience candies that way too
You can max out 5 Pokémons HP stats in 10 minutes using outbreaks
@@Louched doesn't help you level those Pokemon up and it's instant using vitamins... Instant faster than 10 minutes with the added benefit of leveling Pokemon up it's more efficient
You’re not taking into account the time of farming the money required to do that, it’s 250,000 to max one stat, now everyone getting into raids has the capability to spend millions on training their first raid Pokémon
@@Louched I am it's what you do to get the experience candies you sell the things you get from the raids it's a two in one that was the whole premise there in 6 hours I can get 14 Pokemon to level 100 with Max stats
@@diogenes42069 you’re grinding out over 1 mil an hour without event raids? Wouldn’t mind knowing your method
What about for Tera Raid battles that self-boost? Should be an Unaware Pokemon in there for them.
Taunt stops the boosting, can just throw it on a Pokémon
@Louche Taunt doesn't stop Moxie, and can't be used when the shields are up.
I'm sure people have already pointed it out, but Huge Power is glitched out.
It's not huge power, it's play rough
Imagine bringing a blue bunny into a 5 star raid.. You gettin laughed at forsure I'll stick with ogerpon 🤣
For iron hands, wouldn't the booster energy be useless if you're going to belly drum to max attack anyways? That's why I run shell bell
Booster energy is +30% attack its not + a stage, you can run whatever you like tbh, but shell bell might be a waste since drain punch heals you to full
Not vs strong physicsl bulkers. More than often the extra healing i get makes the difference between getting kod or getting in another hit. It also allows you to use tpunch or play rough freely vs mons that resist fighting and still heal up to full
I got scarlet anyone wanna trade?
Comment your name I’ll add you
