Since Christians are approximately 10% of the population, the question remains : why do we need missionaries?
Each of us only needs to share the Gospel of Christ with 9 people and the Great Commission will be complete in Malaysia.

Hey man, glad to see missionaries doing God's work in Malaysia. Im a Malaysian and I would like to let everyone know there are three major ethnic group here known as Malay, Indian and Chinese. Only the Malays are not allowed to convert to other religion since they are only to be Muslims based on Malaysian Supreme and Syariah Law.
False! There are more than 3 ethnic groups in Malaysia. You forgot, just like most west Malaysians, that Sabah and Sarawak are part of Malaysia. We have kadazan/dusun ethnic group in Sabah and the dayaks in Sarawak. Get your facts straight brother.

GOD bless You and Your family as well as Your mission. I'm Vietnamese. if you meet someone speaking English you can do a lot of work. When you know the law it's everything ok. The Government would not harm you.
It's true that foreigners are safe but not so much for Evangelical Christians who are Vietnamese is not allowed to have a church in their home or give away Bibles
Giving someone Bible is legal. and Having a church somewhere you need to have permission from the government. However, as Vietnamese, Our problem is not about telling someone to go to Church and have religion but about living like JESUS. When you tell somebody to live with the value of the Kingdom of GOD and it's definitely opposite the government controlled by violence and lying, they are really scared of someone who is responsible for the community and country. Lastly, Franklin Graham preached at the stadium in HCM City, The government permitted that event because Nowaday become a Christian which is not a lifestyle but it's just a religion.

actually only malay (i guess?) that r born muslim, cuz a lot of them are muslims... im from east malaysia borneo (indigenous people) and i dont think that it is like that here.. (sorry english is not my first language)

There's about six million Christians in Vietnam but they're not allowed to evangelize so we need people like you to get out there and do it

Hye there... am a malay muslim of Malaysia. Just to correct your statement at 10:00 about aboriginal / pagan indigenous peoples. They are national treasure to our country. Yes we do some missionary work to them but they have 100% choice whether to follow islam or not. Regarding to privilege / infrastructure / government help & support. They are prioritized for that but the majority of them still choosing to live according to their way of life. No compulsion to embrace islam or discriminated from any privileges if they chose not to be a muslim.
A country with more than 60% of muslims & islam is the official religion of the federation. All the malays ( including all the muslim from various ethnicity ) are subjected to the law of our constitution. But don't worry, you still have plenty ( 35-40% ) of the non muslim ( mostly a Hindu, Buddhist or pagan ) for your missionary work.
Anyway 3R ( Religion / Race / Royalty ) is a very sensitive issues here in our country. Those strict laws needed in order to maintain the public order & unnecessary flare up between multiethnic & multiregion nation. It's very hard for us to maintain stability, peace and harmony if everyone has a 'absolutely free' of everything without certain limitations. Hope it might help & educate everyone here. Tqvm
Are you absolutely certain that there is no compulsion in Malaysia when it comes to choosing your religion. Let me ask you, can you as a Malay, freely choose your religion?
Using taxpayers money, the government has mobilized efforts to convert east Malaysian Christians to Islam with promises of material goods and assistance for their harsh living. And these people have no idea what they have gotten into. Many documentaries have been made about it. They are good summaries. Go watch.

I"m an Australian Christian in Hanoi, if anyone is here to meet for private Bible studies, encouragement. I have Biblical, reformed, cessationaistm God-centred beliefs - we are saved by faith in the risen Jesus alone, His perfect finished work to pay for our sins, by trust in Him.

I don't feel led to go to another country, neither do I see that I have to be anything or do anything even here in my home country but just to be me. Acts1:8 says and ye shall BE witnesses, not "do" witnessing. I believe my life, that who I AM is a plain and powerful witness. Words come occasionally, but for the most part that opportunity hardly ever presents itself. I tried for a while to be evangelistic, but looking back, I think I was like a square peg trying to get into a round hole. I do not feel compelled to go out in the streets or the like, but to devote myself in a special and unique way to a deeper prayer life and of intercessory prayer.. and to let that be the springboard to any possible ministry. I am an unusually very young 66. Was born again when I was around 4 or 5.

I hope I can add some light, I live in this region so am a little conversant, they will tell u they are busy because they are cautious about whom they meet, it’s not that they don’t have d time, it’s more so because, living in a communist state, all that is needed is a word to the secret police and the person & his/her family will Be watched to d point of suffocation, so to avoid this overbearing oversight, they simply say they are busy, it’s a polite way of saying, “No I can’t meet up with u” . How do u overcome this? Entrench yrself in the community over a long period…(like start up an English school or offer computer literacy courses) then u will be more trusted. You have 2 understand that these folks not only want to protect themselves but more so the rest of the church members. Imagine if u meet up with this person and word spreads to d secret police, they will be tortured to give up every member of d church. So saying no to u is a safer option. You compare the catholic church in Vietnam, which has been over 500 years with almost 10 million members, and with you a few days in Vietnam. Stop your spreading of division and hate. The way of your missionary only backfired. To be a missionary is not about what you like or dislike; it is mostly about sacrifices and time, time could be the rest of your life. Hundreds of Catholic missionaries and hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese were executed in the name of Jesus in Vietnam. Stop comparing a few days of your stay in Vietnam.
If I go to Vietnam and preach the gospel and the Bible... as long as it's only to individuals and not a large meeting.. then do you think it's okay?.. cuz I know that Vietnamese people are not allowed to evangelize.

@@melawatisteelz4725 It is a hard teaching to accept: Jesus was both God and man. Even his own followers didn't understand, and many left him. And yes, Jesus as man did indeed die. But his resurrection from death, as well as the other miracles he performed, convinced his core disciples and many others that he was also the Son of God.

Before I can answer that question we have to look to the Old testament to understand the prophecies of Christ and how he fulfilled them all. Over 300 prophecies of Jesus Christ, how he would come, where he would be born, where he would grow up, how and when he would die, Even the year of his crucifixion was prophesied in the book of Daniel and also is baptism. There's so many prophecies in the Old testament alone of who he would be.
Isaiah said,

Isaiah and continue to confirm who this person will be by another prophecy saying that this son shall be called "The mighty God, the father and the Prince of Peace"

Jesus Christ himself did not give him did not give himself the label of God but he called himself by another name, The Son of Man. Daniel also had a prophecy of seeing the son of man coming to the ancient of days and he shall be worshiped as God.
