as usual western media always spread Islamofobia brainwashing about Islam there is no justice in this world except Shariah law Sharia law is the best law in the world
Moral code? It it TAKES TWO WOMEN against One man if she is r8prd or beaten by him. She is not able to say anything unless another woman is witness to it. ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC LAW.
In the US, many men are falsely accused of rape. Many college athletes have had their future livelihood destroyed. Years later, they are found innocent, but nothing happens to the accuser.
it is 4 witnesses (usually males) to attest to any injustice. im an exmuslim, and i think islam should be given a chance to mature to help folks.. people need religion for some reason. but not under these.. disgusting power hungry asses. NOT UNDER THESE ASSHOLES. TAIK.
If a woman gets raped ,.. and trys to take it to court ,.she needs 4 witnesses that seen the act ,.. of penitration happen to win her case. In the quran no verses on punishment for rape from their god. Quran verse 4:34 you can beat your wife's Quran verse 65:4 child marriage any age
so are you saying that all resturants should have opened just for her? how come businesses being closed due to no demand becomes forcing someone? you people are thick as plancks. of course or else how could you become the racist imbucils you do need IQ level below 10 for that
we cant force people of other beliefs to do anything. i dont know whos doing this but we truly aren't allowed to make a (for sake of argument) christian celebrate eid.
Before tsunami, many christians were not allowed to celebrate christmas in cities. Many christians felt sad n walked to the hills to celebrate christmas. When Tsunami hit aceh on 26 dec, many christians were safe
Amazing for the Christians but very terrible for the muslims just goes to show Jesus lookes after those who love him i wished it would not have happened in the first place but who knowes how the actual karma of people play out in life and for that you dont have to be religious at all iam glad you both had a good time 💟☮️☸️🕉️🌈🌈☔️☔️🌹🌸🌻🙏🙏

I live in a Muslim country and during Ramadan there are stores/ shops open to buy food and some restaurants open as well. Plus, in Islam you fast if you are able to but if you are sick, pregnant, postpartum, on your period, a child before puberty, or any sickness then you are exempt from fasting. It's even frowned upon to ask someone why they aren't fasting because that's between them and Allah why they aren't fasting. What they are labeling as Sharia Law is actually their cultural beliefs mixed into Islamic beliefs.
Actually there is the place called "Peunayong" where you as a non-Muslim can eat there during limited time only in the morning during Ramadan from 5 AM to 9 AM. After that they have to close their stall until Ashr prayer.

but the thesis is that there have been many examples of young Indonesians who are around 60% of the Z generation (aged 14-21 years) and the millennial generation (aged 22-29 years) identified as puritan & ultraconservative linking this to the influence of the Hijrah Wahhabi movement
Implementation of Sharia law where I live would just be annoying. I already go lengthy periods without eating and avoid alcohol just on my own discipline and ideologies. I don't need someone now trying to 'flog me in public' for doing these things on my own terms instead of their schedule, or at their place of choice. It seems a system based on distrust. And I 100% disagree with their anti this anti that and anti women laws.
i mean you say this but i know people in America for example who were made fun off and some of the time even pushed when they were praying in a park, honestly to believe that its just Sharia Law country's (No Country is 100% Sharia Law) that you get people weirded out by different cultures is crazy, every country has different cultures when new people go into that culture it will seem weird and some will even question what they do and why, its just life and experiences new things, you dont have to agree but there would be less potential hatred in everyones heart if instead of ignoring simple concepts that they look at them with logical understanding.
@@ashton6626 Good sentiment. America is an extremely culturally diverse country. It is inherent in American culture that nothing is certain about people. I am sure that your anecdote about people being harassed while praying publicly is true. This is, however, not the typical experience for Christians. For other faiths, I do not know about the oppression they face. But American culture is permissive in general. There are thousands of subcultures. People praying in Oregon are probably more likely to be harassed if they are Christian, less likely if they are Muslim, but the opposite is more likely in Kentucky. Government is restricted from enforcing culture, and so people are free to be xenophobic. This is the value of liberty.

I dont think they understand lol i was thinking same thing they are non muslims why are they fasting 😂 and they so worried about being in public , they are obviously tourists 😂
It's not like that. Ramadan rules apply to all humans (irrespective of their religion) in a Sharia state. The only way she can eat is by carrying her own food and eating it only in her hotel room without letting anyone know. Breaking the rules will get her beaten physically. All this strict nonsense is exactly why non-Muslims end up leaving the place. Call it exodus or call it homogeneous culture intolerant of other cultures.
Sumatran Coffee is the most well known coffee from Indonesia in the western world, however it's not the "Best" we have, it's the quirkiest. due to the natural processing it often described to be heavy, woody, and earthy. and the coffee you get from the traditional sellers would't be the best example to enjoy it just because "it would not be palatable for westerners". and it's not just sumatra, across Indonesia traditionally we don't enjoy coffee with all the modern coffee fuss. we roasted the beans almost to a charcoal, and we adds sugar (in jogja, people literally add wood charcoal lol). anyway, if you wanna experience all the subtlety of Indonesian coffess, try modern or upscale coffee places. and try beans below - washed/semi washed(just for fun) Aceh gayo - washed Bali Kintamani - washed Kerinci - washed Ijen - washed Wamena to the extreme: Natural/honey/black honey Aceh Gayo
Aceh Gayo coffee is good! You forgot many local coffee makers add roasted corn to bulk out the coffee powder! In one local village coffee shop in Sigli, I found twigs floating in my kopi tubruk 😂
@@thetabletopskirmisher Lol, yeah. not just corn, in some areas it's rice, or even dried cooked rice 😂 Sumatran coffee in general is my top choice too, but Aceh is 2nd compare to the rest of Sumatra single origin beans, due to the processing it can get pretty inconsistent from time to time, this month coffee would be amazing but next month would be completely off, that's why when it comes to Sumatran coffee in general, Aceh Gayo specifically I always suggest people to get the full washed beans, semi washed is okay, but the rest only try when you're feeling adventurous. But all that because I grind and brew my coffees myself at home, so 1 bag I already purchased would last me a couple of weeks and I have to live with that even when it was an off batch. but if you're getting it at a coffee shop then it's an experience, and if it's an upscale coffee place "the price will be higher" but they will ensure to get the best beans and when it does, boy Aceh Gayo coffee is heavenly.
Welcome to Indonesia and enjoy our cultural diversity, hospitality of the native people and of course foods. I hope you will have good experiences while traveling around Indonesia.

Girl why you fasting? You don't have to starve yourself, you're not muslim...muslim ladies don't fast during menstruation,do you think they dont eat the entire day even when are exempt of fasting?
Actually, fasting according to Islamic teachings does not reduce the amount of food consumed in one day, this is just a matter of time configuration. Because, the majority of the working class in Indonesia eat 2 to 3 times a day, and this can also be done when fasting, it's just that there are time regulations that regulate it. There is even a journal article which concludes that consumption levels and body weight of Muslims in Indonesia actually increase during the fasting month.
Indonesia is considered one of the least radical Muslim countries in the world. People are very nice but religion they believe in is against my personal beliefs about women, animal rights, pedophilia and violence.
This is a specific and special province in Indonesia. It’s different to the rest of Indonesia. The people of Aceh fought a violent civil war against Indonesia for the right to implement Sharia. It is considered a separatist state where their Sharia is modeled on Iran.
Very true. They are normal people. No offence meant, the syaria law is set up by the people in power. A small group of politicians comprising less than 0.1% of the population.
@@mlwee6796 the sharia is pretty normal for muslims aswell. Ofcourse the people would be nice and normal, go to Qatar, Saudi, UAE etc it the same even though they have sharia aswell.
Hey, just wanted to say that I appreciate your honesty. Sometimes people tend to shy away from expressing their opinions but glad that you’re not one of them. I’m glad that you’ve told the locals that you don’t believe in anything, it’s a lesson for them that not everyone who’s not Muslim is automatically a Christian 😁 I’m also happy to hear things that you don’t agree with. In general, provinces in Indonesia have less autonomy than states in Australia, but the province of Aceh is an exception as it’s considered a special region so they have their own bylaws. One thing to be aware of is that these bylaws are usually results of political maneuvering. Politicians might propose a bylaw to make themselves look pious and thus boosting their political careers. The curfew for women was actually put in order during the time of a female mayor in Banda Aceh, while one who wanted to lift it was a male governor. This doesn’t actually point out to anything for them as individuals, it’s just politics. As in other places around the world, religions are potent when used as political tools. Cheers from the province of South Kalimantan, Borneo Island, Indonesia 🇮🇩🍻🇦🇺

What do you mean respect the local? Isn't the obligation to fast to allow you to xperience hunger in daily life? Like the genuine homeless and beggars? Defeats the purpose if you cannot resist temptation. Beggars sit outside cafes and move around shops and food stalls. Are you supposed to stop eating or selling food bcos there are hungry people around who can't afford to buy food?

You cannot use one country's Sharia Law as a model for another country's Sharia Law. Indonesia is supposedly one of the more progressive Muslim state and their Sharia Law is not as harsh as the one you see in middle east. In other words, their Sharia Laws are cherry picked. Nevertheless, it is very boring life under Sharia Law.
As I said in the video, this is the only sharia law state in Indonesia - the reason for that is that it goes against how progressive the rest of the country is. There was a bloody civil war for them to be allowed to do this where the locals had an uprising against the government. The sharia here is directly copied from Irans.

Such great idea to visit the city of syariah ACEH ... Actually no big different with others city in indonesia...only straight law and regulation base on islam syariah law ... Very simple way is just follow the rules or law .. Nothing is huge or scarry thing, just being to understand what is it.. Simple simple law like any moslem country ... No bikini open dressed no rude manners like other culture no drunk or any alcohol ...the rest is normal life ..nothing to be worried or and scare of .. But aware the manner and dress or any attitude ... Like when you visit malaysia or singapore ..same with straight rule and regulation ...as long as we do care and obey ...nothing to be worries ... Event you made mistaken and in unpurposes...they still has undesttanding tolerance for mistaken because you are just visitor ot just normal tourist who has own background and religion ...we still do have understanding or tolerance as long as not happening (again) for the second time ... We always welcome We still has lovely smile ..warm and love to connected ..like typical indonesian people. So nothing to be worries or scarred ... To be honest .. i love this city ..there is some benefit when we implement some straight law... Save travel to you all...
of course you can agree or disagree on sharia law, its your point of view... Once you saw sharia law from inside is pretty chill right... but the fact that foreigners or even ppl from outside Aceh has to be careful on what to do and not to do and pay respects to law in the area is effective for them to protect their homeland from unlawful tourist behaviors, that's their point of view... now look at Bali has become. lot's of tourists aren't respecting local's values and they feel like they can do anything since they feel like nothing's gonna stop them there.
lol sharia law is ancient nonsense that has no place in the modern world. Thats why all your countries are complete shit. your stupid religion cant create a functioning society. stay your ass in your own country
I agree that there are problems with tourism, there’s often news about how tourists destroyed historic sites, or bother locals by getting drunk etc. But let’s not pretend that Sharia law is pretty chill, there’s public floggings over there. The people seem nice in this video, but the laws are cruel. There’s ways to limit tourism or harm by tourists without violent punishment or extreme restrictions on freedom of the locals also.

Not if you’re stuffing yourself with food before and after the end of the day. In fact, most Muslims gain weight during Iftar. Try a Hindu fast or intermittent fasting for your body and soul.
@@littlecatfeet9064 the point u try to bring is consuming based plant food vegan or vegetarian,am i correct?if u studied biology, the best of healthier human body is balancing nutrient that come from both protein from consuming food based plant and animal at daily basis..in simple way to look what foods u need to consume to maintain ur body is looking by tooth structures, bcuz human as omnivore, their body must get nutrient from both from plant and animal proteins..back to the topic about fasting, trust me dont recommend the way hinduism fast to anyone outside hindus 😂,bcuz u dont know there are certain level on hindu fast, one of top that level is u cant eating or drinking in whole days for set of period..these extreme fast usually taken by their priest as rituals or fanatic followers for their practice of the religion.
@@madman9658 I’m not a Hindu or a vegan/vegetarian, but the human body can go without meat or animal products for a long time. Our ancestors fasted - truly fasted because of lack of food security - and studies have shown that being in calorie deficit can shed weight, give more energy and increase vitamin absorption. They also show benefits to not eating meat daily as meat can clog the arteries. The point is that Ishtar feasts don’t provide energy, lead to weight gain, not loss and can increase the risk of heart attacks. You’re making it a spiritual benefit argument, and then a health argument, when the Ramadan regime is similar to any failed dieter; going without food all day and then gorging thousands of calories at night. That’s just a crash diet and not even particularly challenging; I’ve traveled a bit and been in situations where I didn’t have access to food or water for 12 hours at a time and it’s doable if not ideal. So why only one religion sees not eating for 12 hours as worshipping Allah is disingenuous.
@@littlecatfeet9064 im sorry for mistakenly misunderstanding ur point, but trust me if we talking about best diet is keep balancing both plant&animal protein diets for a normal system human body..and i think u misunderstand what a main purposes fasting in islamic teaching, fasting is primarily an exercise of devotion to willingly renounce oneself, for a definite period of time, from all bodily appetites in order to form spiritual discipline and self-control..by doing correctly the way of fasting that islamic teaching,we muslims also gain physical and spiritual benefits like i told before from fasting..why u called disingenuous?like i told u,every religion teach differently way of fasting for example i talk about hinduism fasting earlier.

1. witnesses are needed when accusing of adultery, not rape.

-applying specifically the death penalty for rape requires four witnesses; otherwise, other punishments will be applied
2. women don’t fast if they’re sick, menstruating, or pregnant. people shouldn’t be asking why a woman isn’t fasting

but the thesis is that there have been many examples of young Indonesians who are around 60% of the Z generation (aged 14-21 years) and the millennial generation (aged 22-29 years) identified as puritan & ultraconservative linking this to the influence of the Hijrah Wahhabi movement
Same. I just think when you come from generations of freedom, it is far too oppressive. It’s archaic & totally at odds with modern life
Just because we dont allow people to sleep around and girls assaulted at night doesn't mean were "anti women"
i mean you say this but i know people in America for example who were made fun off and some of the time even pushed when they were praying in a park, honestly to believe that its just Sharia Law country's (No Country is 100% Sharia Law) that you get people weirded out by different cultures is crazy, every country has different cultures when new people go into that culture it will seem weird and some will even question what they do and why, its just life and experiences new things, you dont have to agree but there would be less potential hatred in everyones heart if instead of ignoring simple concepts that they look at them with logical understanding.

Sumatran Coffee is the most well known coffee from Indonesia in the western world, however it's not the "Best" we have, it's the quirkiest.
due to the natural processing it often described to be heavy, woody, and earthy. and the coffee you get from the traditional sellers would't be the best example to enjoy it just because "it would not be palatable for westerners". and it's not just sumatra, across Indonesia traditionally we don't enjoy coffee with all the modern coffee fuss. we roasted the beans almost to a charcoal, and we adds sugar (in jogja, people literally add wood charcoal lol).
anyway, if you wanna experience all the subtlety of Indonesian coffess, try modern or upscale coffee places. and try beans below
- washed/semi washed(just for fun) Aceh gayo
- washed Bali Kintamani
- washed Kerinci
- washed Ijen
- washed Wamena
to the extreme: Natural/honey/black honey Aceh Gayo
Aceh Gayo coffee is good!
You forgot many local coffee makers add roasted corn to bulk out the coffee powder!
In one local village coffee shop in Sigli, I found twigs floating in my kopi tubruk 😂
@@thetabletopskirmisher Lol, yeah. not just corn, in some areas it's rice, or even dried cooked rice 😂
Sumatran coffee in general is my top choice too, but Aceh is 2nd compare to the rest of Sumatra single origin beans, due to the processing it can get pretty inconsistent from time to time, this month coffee would be amazing but next month would be completely off, that's why when it comes to Sumatran coffee in general, Aceh Gayo specifically I always suggest people to get the full washed beans, semi washed is okay, but the rest only try when you're feeling adventurous.

You cannot use one country's Sharia Law as a model for another country's Sharia Law.

You summed it up really well at the end of the video. The real problems start when we disregard others' beliefs and try to force ours on them. This goes with every aspect of life even with our own children. We have to respect everyone and everything in the world.
We always welcome
We still has lovely smile ..warm and love to connected ..like typical indonesian people.
So nothing to be worries or scarred ...
To be honest .. i love this city ..there is some benefit when we implement some straight law...
Save travel to you all...
people need to read your comment. it's a brilliant explanation. ❤
Why implement Sharia on non Muslims ??
"No alcohol" you know just normal, normal for who Muslims, so like wine with dinner and that's a problem, how ridiculous is that.
of course you can agree or disagree on sharia law, its your point of view...
So why do Muslims go to the western Christian countries to change our ways and laws????
lol sharia law is ancient nonsense that has no place in the modern world. Thats why all your countries are complete shit. your stupid religion cant create a functioning society. stay your ass in your own country
Yeah paying jizyah as christians and jews and sexual enslavemend of our women under shariah is good😂
I agree that there are problems with tourism, there’s often news about how tourists destroyed historic sites, or bother locals by getting drunk etc. But let’s not pretend that Sharia law is pretty chill, there’s public floggings over there. The people seem nice in this video, but the laws are cruel. There’s ways to limit tourism or harm by tourists without violent punishment or extreme restrictions on freedom of the locals also.
Islamists don 't respect any values of the countries they go to.
Guys if your not muslim you dont have to wait till iftar
Just a respect thing - I wouldn't want to eat in front of everyone else who can't eat. I'm respectful of others as a choice 😊😊
Being a tourist is different than living in Shariya law 😂
Yes that’s why it doesn’t say I’m living under it at any point
@@josieliftsthings You are dishonest- you IMPLIED that it's not so bad because people were nice to you as a white female tourist from Australia. Well duh- tourism is a major source of income for the nation. Too bad you gloss over the horrific conditions women forced into this cult must endure their whole lives. Just FYI, the price of apostasy is DEATH. And they mean it.
@@josieliftsthings India is best
Andhbhakt 😂😂😅
Funny people mocking sharia law where Aceh is literally have the lowest crime rate in the country
if u deeply think about it, fasting from islamic teaching is really good for ur physical body and soul ..it can reset ur metabolism system and slowly removing any toxic substances inside on ur body and it can make clearing ur mind from bad desire that categorical sins as for ur soul.
NO. THEY DONT WANNA HEAR THIS. ALL THEY WANT IS THE "OPPRESSION" IN ISLAM. What? Sharia law is actually cleaning up criminals from the earth? Ignore that! Lets talk about how oppressed women are in Islam!!!
You speak their language!
What an atypical, responsible Westerner!!!!!
Lovely!
as a muslim myself, I just think religon shouldn't be the biggest thing of a country, notice how extremly religous countrys fall? yeah its because of RELIGON getting in the way, its fine to be muslim, but don't make it a political thing, spend money on doctors, police, military, scientists, not religon.
