‘And i do my solo…which i can’t show you’ 😮
That one and tornado are the two hardest song's to play of megadeth. Holy wars makes my fingers hurt trying to play to play the rythem part it's super hard I've never heard anyone play it as good as Dave does. I doubt if even satriani could play it as well as Dave does.
Dave is such a great player I hope I can see him with ozzy at the Tacoma dome
He needs to do a project with Tom Sholz. T.S. is on a level no one else is. Pure technial and just a general genius.
Super tight, super sharp and super unique!
If thrash metal is a religion... Dave Mustaine
is THE God \,,/.... respect \,,/
dude that holy wars riff is the best riffs ever written
Riff master Dave he is the man!
Holy wars is a fucking master piece
I love how he's trying to re-figure out Holy Wars at 7:00 or so
Right? I've noticed interviews where other well known guitarists were doing the same. Like, "how does that go again?"
Bit of a Nigel Tuffnel gear moment when he was going over the picking style lol.
For Dave every non-power chord is "weird" and "evil" LOL :-D
Chords with 3rd sound dissonant and you can use them very well to write evil riffs
@@georgeb9285 "Chords with 3rd sound dissonant " - good that Mozart didn't know that ;)
Actually for every metal head non power chords are weird
@@geraldorodriguew3605 Very true. "What's a third"? Ah, metal guitar players.
@@HabAnagarek yeah I've been in some bands last month and I want redemption for what I said
First listen to this album back in the day......me, a bunch of my guitar playing friends, minds fucking blown. Holy Wars.....More like Holy Shit!!!! This songs is pure thrash genius!!! When that acoustic guitar comes in it’s like.....whaaaaaa????So cool! Then the solos.....damn!!
That's so weird. After 20 years of playing guitar, my brain also tells me when to pick up the guitar. Generally I will have bursts of inspiration this way.
Watched this and instantly mastered the song 100% ! Thanks Dave
Shrugs off one of the most fast riffs i have heard
@cloudykai did i say this was the fastest?
Brilliant - just found this out of the blue. Always wanted to learn this song. MEGADETH RULES!
I've heard from several talented guitar players say that Holy Wars is megadeths hardest song to play.
Not at all. Its just fast, really
It's the most badass too
really interesting to see a smart guy talk about playing his guitar. very good clip.
somebody should build a guitar with a easy access button to record brilliant ideas while they happen --- so they don't get forgotten while setting up recording equipment...
Iguana Rhoads
epiphone? or telecaster?
I think Tom Sholz is working on that.
Dave is the guitar. Its part of him like his arm. To dave its natural for him to sound so great.
I can relate so much to the voice recorder bit
One of the best technical guitarist of our time.great track off a great album
guitar dean angel of death 2 amp blackstar 15w
I dream of alternative reality where Dave never got kicked out Metallica, Kirk still joined, and we got James singing all the songs him and Dave wrote over the years.Would have been a metal Beatles.
"Let me do this right, it's been a while since I played this"....Dave
This is will come in handy if I ever find myself stuck in 1990.
@Chese 311 I listen to a band called The Trendy Millenials.
Dave is so chill
This feels like an episode of Portlandia.
I wanna know how he thought of the punishment due riff. Thats the single best riff ive ever heard. I'll never forget the day I heard that riff
Dave is a guitar god!
Dave mustaine writes everything in megadeth even the peace sells bassline and the intro drums to rust in peace all mehadeth needed was dave lol
He makes it look so easy! Meanwhile us mortals...cant even get the 1st riff down after yrs!! :(
Thats pirdy funny there.
Took me about a month and a half to completely learn holy wars
You may just practice in a bad way
i tried to play this on my guitar when it came out. damn good song
What Beatles song is he talking about?
It sounds so familiar but I can't figgure it out.
I thought it sounded like "Because". You know, the whole moonlight sonata backwards thing. Which sounds like something Dave would do lol.
Almost thought it was Ticket to Ride at first.
His career shows how anger can be changed into energy for writing eternal songs🤘🎸🤘
And drugs
Mighty Dave. The Brian Jones of metal
