One of THE most memorable mausoleum videos you have done. The fireplace....how nice! But that we could have seen the windows before some creep or creeps knocked them out. That mosaic floor is amazing, too. Good work, Matt! 😎👍

Hi Matt, its good to see you again. Interesting headstones, I wish that people wouldn't desecrate old headstones, the Mausoleum was neat too. Thanks for all of your hard work, and caring about the cemeteries, have a blessed weekend 😊

Hi Matt.4.33 My favorite...The WOW tree !.This is a big one, impressive, beautiful detais.Love that the 2 small logs are also WOW and fitting to the monument. 6.54 something you don't expect in a mausoleum; a fireplace; nice detail that they added photos.Shame thatthe original windows ( stained glass i expect) have been removed. 11.10 somewhat shorter WOW tree, so the person did not reach an old age.NIce to see the stacked log markers to the side.Makes it even more stand out and interesting. On top cloth to show that the people are mourning the deceased.Enjoyed the rerun Matt, very interesting cemetery.Should do a revisit because there is so much to see. Thanks for sharing.

I noticed that the inside of the mausoleum was fairly structurally intact. In fact in very good condition. I noticed a few empty spaces. Hope lot better shape than some of the older ones you've found. Nice find.

    Hi Matt! Great video!
The best stuff sometimes is the close stuff!
Even as large as that fireplace is, it would take a few days of constant fire to bring up the temperature inside that stone building, if they wanted to hold a funeral in the depth of a cold winter!
But that building is very well made, perhaps it might survive a couple of centuries, if taken care of! But I would be interested in the foundations, and if there are more fittings under or inside the walls, most people would not understand if they saw any of the things used back in those days when the Mausoleum was built.

I looked up the marker you showed at around 13:52. I just copied and pasted. "A number on the stone is the local lodge number. FCL stands for Fraternity, Charity, and Loyalty. These same letters were also used by the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War and a similar hereditary group called the Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic." At 15:02 the GAR was for The five-pointed star symbol denotes that the veteran was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR)

The tree like headstones are part of a fraternal order. The Woodmen of the World is a fraternal benefit society that was founded on June 3, 1890 by Joseph Cullen Root, in Omaha, Nebraska.

I've also noticed that when there were mistakes sometimes people just went with it. I recently filmed the one stone with two different name spellings and one with different life dates about a year ago. It seems like historically you'd have to pay to correct mistakes unlike modern times. But it could also be stylistic as pointed out!

Hi Matt quick question for you. Did you ever go to the Sharon Cemetery in
Bartholomew County, Indiana? I portray a Rev War soldier who is interred there and I was curious if you might have filmed his grave by chance.

Hey Matt. Love the mausoleum. This was a great episode. On another note you have said this channel is your life. Could you please give us a few new episodes and not keep re-running old ones. We know it takes alot of work to do the new ones but you are slipping into a pattern that will have horrible consequences on your channel of viewers. This is remark is not made out of hate or to be hurtful but out of love for your channel and the great body of work you had been doing. Take care- Chris and Dave

I can understand your frustration. 539 is my life. More new stuff will be coming as well as answers. Thank you for all of the support. Things are just complex at the moment and I am working hard to fix that as well as repair the channel.
