- BT Wifi Extender 300
In this video I look at trying to extend our wifi in our property. This I found on the internet with a lot of really good reviews so thought I would have a look as there is very little on RUclips about this.
I chose the BT Wifi Extender 300, due to the size, ease and cost effective nature of the device. In this video I look at what you get and how it works with the unboxing of the device.
I appreciate that there is little hardware but just give a look at what you get and what I found. Hope you enjoy.

Got one being delivered tomorrow...looks exactly what I am needing...fingers crossed
Brilliant mate so easy thanks for that so easy 👍🏴🇬🇧
This review couldn’t have come at a better time as I was looking to by an extender next week. Will give this a go. Price and ease of set up make it a very good option.
Cheers Dan, I was really impressed and been using it constantly now for weeks it does go amber from time to time but keeps a strong signal even when it goes amber I must say it works a treat, 👍👍 Thanks for watching.
Total number of devices on a home / portable network can be restricted by the router. The actual limit can be hard to find, but worthwhile. We had lots of speed issues, line speed out all ok. The type of repeater here counts as a device, need to be careful when adding more and more Wi-Fi stuff to ISP provided routers. Nice video :). Like your multi cam sequence!!
Like the review, does exactly what it says on the tin.
Thank you. 👍👍
Nice one Jules, I've tried several different types of extenders from different manufactures without must success, i might give this one a try.
Cheers
Jon

Thank you.
Thank you sir
Found you Jules 👍
Update.... Worked a treat, son now has good internet connection, think i will get one for my kitchen next
Come two be added to the same Rueter? One for a back camera and one for a camera at the front. I’ve tried to set this up but it’s only receiving a signal from one of the extender is even though both work
Hi Big Jules, Ive got a BT Wi_Fi Home Hotspot 500, Ive used it's powerline extention to my office where it works great, I wanted to extend it to the living room though (other end of house) and was wondering will any BT 500 Hotspot add-on plug work with my set up. i.e. does it need to be spacfiically an 'add-on' or if I picked up another BT Wi_Fi Home Hotspot 500 kit with one extender on eBay, would that that extender work with my current Hotspot 500 base unit?
Thanks
Mark
We also live in a bungalow but need wifi in the shed in the garden from the router to the shed is about 70ft do you think if put extender in the back room which is 25ft from the shed it would reach ?
Sorry for the late reply, I have to say I think that would be stretching the range of this. Ours is currently at 6-7 meters and gives good coverage but it would also depend on the amount of walls and thickness that it had to transmit through. Hope that helps. 👍
Am I able to change my password for the extender alone?
Good cheap fix for dodgy WiFi spots Jules... ✅
Cheers for now, Rog... 👍🏻 😉 🐍
Cheers for watching and commenting Rog. Thanks for the MobiTog RT as well, really appreciated. 👍👍
Big Jules Tech More than welcome Jules, always good to see what ‘toys’ you come up with next! As it happens, we have gone ‘Whole Home WiFi’ with BT where they use round WiFi extenders to reach the parts others can’t reach... 🤪 ✅
hi jules, know it’s been ages since the upload but i’m having troubles with my internet so i bought this but i’m furthest away from the route yet it still turns orange
It depends on how many walls you have between you. It might be worth after pairing plugging in closer and moving slightly further away until you get a nice steady green light. Hope that helps.
I've connected the extender to my router and I can see the extender appearing on my WiFi list but when I type the exact same router password in the extender it says that the password is wrong even though I haven't written my password incorrectly
Hi jules! Just set up my router thing and I live in a house with 5 other people and they’ve already started using my router without asking due to it being the same password as the WiFi, how do I change the password?
Can you change the main router password? If not you may be able to get to the admin part but I have since got rid of the instructions sorry.
Mine Isn't working 🙁
What problem are you having with your extender????
My old router had a WPS button so it was able to connect but my new router does not have the WPS button, is there any other way they could connect?
Hi, there are instructions given with the device on if you don’t have the WPS option. I have not got the instructions anymore but it might be worth googling it to pair it. Hope that helps.
Does anyone know if that works with Virgin router
my router doesn't have a wps button, how do i connect it?
Sorry can’t remember as threw away the instructions as I have the WPS button. It did explain how to do it on them.
My wps don't turn on
What password do I put in it’s not letting me
Yes
Do you need bt?
Does anyone know how to get the password to connect to the extender?
Sorry I just used the wps button.
Mine just stays on amber anyone know why
The instructions stated that amber was just slightly out of range or it’s struggling through walls. It should still work but might not be as fast as it should. I would probably try re-pairing it and if this doesn’t work then try a socket a little closer.
Big Jules Tech it’s on green now thanks for the help
👍
Would this work in a shed
I would think so as long as you had a power supply and not going through too many walls for the signal. 👍👍
lets say my router was downstairs do u think it ll work upstairs
It should do as it works well through walls for me so if it’s not too far away from the main router it should be ok. 👍👍
