Hello and welcome to this Band Of Brothers episode reaction!
We finally made it to Episode 10.
Sorry for the wait for these episodes but they are all on there now!
I really enjoyed this series and was attached to a lot of the characters/real people it portrayed.
Thanks for sticking around this long!
I am a flight attendant and a few years after this series premiered, I had the honor of having Shifty Powers and his wife on-board. I completely "fan-girled". He was so humble and sweet. Truly the Greatest Generation.
Omg that is absolutely amazing!!!
Such an amazing series, my favorite miniseries of all time! I highly recommend along with the book Band of Brothers, you should read We Who Are Alive and Remain: Untold Stories from the Band of Brothers. It covers stories of the soldiers who either don't get as much or any exposure in the show but served in the same company. One of the excerpts talks about during the Overlord invasion when a paratrooper accidentally ended up standing on top of the deployed parachutes of another member of Easy as they dropped into Normandy!
My grandfather was exempted from the draft in WWII because he worked at the Philip Morris plant in Richmond VA and cigarettes were considered vital to the war effort.
The Eagle's Nest is now a tourist attraction and restaurant. Haven't heard much about the food or service, but the view would be worth the trip in my opinion.
The ride up THE gold-plated elevator is worth it.
Don't think I'd like to eat there. Wouldn't seem right somehow
@@franksidebottom3645 Hitler only visited the place once. He didn’t like it.
long time comin thanks bro, enjoy your take. Have a good one.
Nice of you to include the shot showing how they rigged the lottery so Shifty could come home. Seems like other reactors don't notice :)
Glad to hear you will be finishing Hannibal, at some point.
One of those shows that is highly rewatchable...... several times.
I remember you Ryan, You use to have a channel on You Tube??
haha yeah that's me
Eyyyy! You made it! Missed your content. 👍🏽♥️
Thank you, nice to see you commenting
My favorite episode is the one that is focused on Doc Roe. It shows the horror and pain of war from a medic's point of view very well.
Dick Winters' 1911A! pistol, uniform, and many other of his personal effects can be seen at the Gettysburg Pennsylvania Military Museum. Dick Winters is one of the heroes of the World War II that was unsung for way too long.
You should watch the movie: “The Lost Battalion”! It’s a true story of heroism by US Army Soldiers from New York in WW1!
'Sounded to me as though you're making progress in your
art/career.
I'm pleased to hear that.
Thanks for taking us along for your perceptions on the journey through this series. And well done.
I'm going to say again that i'd love to see/hear your reaction to Clint Eastwood's
MILLION DOLLAR BABY (2004)
After that, i think you might enjoy
A PERFECT WORLD
also directed by Eastwood (1993), starring Kevin Costner.
Good luck to you in whatever you do. It's been a good ride -
Watch We stand alone together documentary man. You will love it. All these guys telling this story.
get ready for THE PACIFIC!
Hey Ryan. This is the new me. We've talked before. Glad to see you back. Look forward to your film reviews. I've got one for you. The original, "12 Angry Men". The one with Henry Fonda.
I think he did that one.
@@tracyfrazier7440 Oh cool. I'll see if I can find it. Not only is a great film to simply watch but the directing on it is incredible.
Yeah Tracy is right it is up on the Channel, Cheers!
@@WatchMeMovie I found it and discovered I had already given it a thumbs up. But I watched it again to get your commentary and added to my remark.
Be safe man
Did you ever decide if episode 6 or episode 7 was your favorite? Mine is 6 (I have a soft spot for Doc), closely followed by 7.
Yeah I think it was probably 6 now thinking back. It is hard not to get into Docs story completely
Agreed: Flawless :)
Looking forward to your movies!
Thanks for sharing all of this. Great tech info from you too. Look forward to future film efforts from you.
Trivia, when Winters is talking to that two-star general. The uniform is wrong. Generals stars are evenly spaced on the shoulder epaulettes. He had two stars but they were too close to each other instead of being spaced out over the length of the whole epaulette.
Please react To “ Legends of the Fall “ with Anthony Hopkins …..
Onto “The Pacific” I hope.
You should check out We Stand Alone Together Men of Easy Company
Studies eh? Good to see you looking a bit less exhausted!
I hope you check out The Pacific as well.
Used to admire Spears, till I heard he really did shoot the german prisoners that they showed in ep 3.
It is my understanding that they were told not to take any prisoners on D-Day as there was nowhere to put them just yet, they were not set up for it. After the invasion, they set up POW stations for captured German soldiers, so their orders changed. I could be wrong, but I read that somewhere in a history document once and have not researched it since.
React to the pacific next.
Can I just suggest you end this with ' We stand alone together' a short documentary with the real Easy Company. Theres also a recent Podcast series, latest is Dale Dye(Colonel Sink)
Shame he won't be doing The Pacific
