Himalayan 452 easily. Dominar weighs too much. It's very tough to maneuver if you're not experienced with it.

There could be ground clearance issues if you dont ride it carefully … and i don’t suggest Dominar 400 in 2024 as there are a lot of other newer motorcycles in the market … but if you still want a powerful and confident highway machine which is good at sports touring then the dominar could still be a good option … and no idea when bajaj is going to update it with the new 390 engine .

I don't really have much knowledge about it, but I thought it was fully waterproof
Media Mod is not waterproof.. however it does work in rain.. GoPro does not say if officially though.. only gopro is waterproof, with Media Mod its not

Its a reliable motorcycle … factoring in my personal experience with my dominar 400 , 5 year company warranty and the vast service network offered by Bajaj Auto … its not the perfect city motorcycle but its quite manageable and also it doesn’t heat all that much .

To connect a microphone to a go pro a shutter cap needs to be removed which makes the only input port of the go pro open to the elements.

And here’s an extraordinary intellectual … its 2023 a kickstarter starts a motor , it does not provide oxygen to the engine to run … that area had low oxygen which was the reason for the long start
@@motorportal You can get into trouble if your bike’s electric system gets wet, and if you are alone and don’t have a kick-start bike, you are practically stranded.
Bikes with electric starters run on batteries. It can fail miserably if the battery dies.
Also, your battery can die and freeze in a cold place which requires extra maintenance....... Extraordinary intellectual.

Talking about the main concern about touring … the fuel cost … my dominar 400 returned between 24 kmpl to 30 kmpl throughout the tour depending upon the riding conditions .
Highway ( 100 - 120kph ) - 29 to 30 kmpl
Normal mountain roads - 24 to 26 kmpl
Spiti offroad route - 26 kmpl
At high altitude the motorcycle will feel a bit lazy but there will be no concerning lack of power .
Calculate your fuel expense by keeping
26 kmpl in mind then you will get an exact fuel expenditure.

It is a beast . Front heavy. Weight 180kg. A legendary bike in India. Not ideal for commuting in city,but on highway it is soo good. Power delivery is good.

@@subhrajitbiswas1042 the route through shimla is safer and more comfortable than manali in my opinion … its not as thrilling though … the road is good till Tabo .
