It always advisable to cross the tough parts, like passes, water crossing before noon. The snow melts and that's why you had to face such rapid water. If you had crossed Shinkula earlier by say 10AM which is quite possible( We did so, started from Jispa) these water crossing would have been much easier. Anyways best of luck. Hope you are able to cross Purne without any further incident. It is pretty sandy(deep sand) down there. Best of Luck.

Nice vlog Swati, this vlog is a learning for you as well as for others who wants to do Leh/ Zanskar ride to prepare themselves for mentally/ physically challanges. Seat height is always a concern for short riders like you & me 😜 so I compromised with power & riding Avenger 220 cruise now. Good luck for your ride.
4:40 All those rocks came down in a landslide about 150 years ago. The entire village was buried by the landslide, and everyone got killed. Even today, if you look closely, you can spot the remnants of the old houses. This is one of the most haunted and accident-prone areas in Lahaul.

i did with my friends on Scorpio to Padum Via Kargil in 2017.........No Road anywhere ...Pancila Pass one of the toughest train and we took almost 10-11 Hours to Reach Padum via Kargil

We have also crossed this water crossing this season only , and havent taken any help the key to understand here is that you need to minimise your clutch movement and give constant race to keep the momentum to overcome this hurdle. Also we were eearing normal canvas shoes with socks , but have applied almond oil before wearing socks which helped us to retain required heat in our body.
Rynox’s or Viaterra waterproof sock works amazing in these water crossing. They save you from frost bites. Also, why is it that so many motovloggers don’t purchase a good riding boot?
Watching your video we will definitely avoid Shinkula pass 😬
Baralacha La Pass will be better i think 🤔
