    These are my first PA speakers (largest and loudest I've had is KRK Rokit 6 lol) and I love them. I bought them as I wanted to be more of a Mobile DJ and get more gigs from the agency that I am with. Took these for a spin and they're loud, clear and carry the bass very well too! I bought a pair of the new Mackie Thump 212XT's and the Thump 118S sub. The only reason I bought them was for the Bluetooth feature. I could run both mains with Bluetooth, one would connect to the other. But it would not line out the Bluetooth signal to the sub and the sub wasn't Bluetooth capable. Ticked me off... I will say this also. I was at a gig with a guy running the old school Mackie SRM450's. one of his tweeters blew so I grabbed my 212XT to put on the side of his blown speaker. You couldn't even hear it when his SEM450 was on. That's when I sold the whole setup. Tempted to go with the TS415's now. I had the TS215's and they sounded great!

    I just returned both of mine after a weekend of gigging with them. Maybe I got a set with bad amps but they sounded like junk. I ended up using my old 315’s for the my last show. Just bought EV ZLX15’s and I am blown away. 1500 watts less power but way louder and clear than any altos I’ve ever owned. (Which I’ve had about 20 throughout the years)

    • @indamixx216
      @indamixx216 11 месяцев назад

      Because you playing with not so good mp3s …. I have the 12’s DID A SET FROM 5-9 ( i also have a 12 sub) ran them hard and for the money they did good… I noticed older songs didn’t sound good comin out of the sub… but new music was beating nice…. I’m thinking about getting a 15 sub though or 18

    • @dustinnator1
      @dustinnator1 11 месяцев назад

      @@indamixx216 I’m not a DJ, I play 70 shows a year with my rig. My set of alto 415’s (I actually bought 3 of them) were trash. During sound check with them I switched back to my 315’s (same settings, same chords, nothing changed) and they were way better. The new ones would break up at I’d say half volume and sound like a megaphone.
      To further prove my point there’s something wrong, my local guitar center has a wall of used brand new 415’s with stickers still on them. Not including mine I’d say they have 10-12 of used 415’s. Big red flag considering they haven’t been out very long.
      I’m not writing to be a hater, just want to save somebody some time. I also have had 20 sets of altos and all were good besides these ones. I still use the 318 2000 watt subs.

    Hey there's a slight fitment issue on your cover if you look at the pull cord in your bed you see how it sags you can loosen the two screws where those bolts are and slide them out to make them a little tighter it makes it harder to pry up a corner of your lid and get in the bed
    Just saying with the cover down those cords should not be loose like that you can see how it the white bolt is barely touching the rail

It was abused though- operating 16 hours plus at high volumes .Another group of guys at work had the 2500 watt Alto 15 inch and the bass was so loud they got in trouble. They eventually blew the tweeter. It was abused as well, but sounded good even with ear plugs in. Hope that helps!

      @@Theaudioguru Except, it actually isn't...in real world usage anyway. Unless Alto is using the cheapest and most inefficient compression drivers ever designed, that is. Maybe the power is available in the amplifiers, but it is never actually used, especially in the case of the compression drivers, which often can produce 110 decibels of sound with a single watt applied (the quality ones anyway) My active speakers with the biggest compression drivers = KV2 audio KX12s feature a 2.5'' voice coil / 1.4'' exit horn and they only have a 50 watt RMS amplifer feeding them. Yamaha's top of the line DZR cabs, with their 2'' voice coil compression drivers (significantly bigger than Alto's 1.4'') have 100 continuous watts available... So I'm going to say Alto is simply playing a numbers game here. Their reputation for blown compression drivers also doesn't inspire confidence. I'm sure they sound good when used within their capabilities, but at their price point, you can't have top quality everything inside the box, unfortunately. I'm hoping to some day review some Altos on my channel, but I have a feeling they'll be similar to the Mackie Thumps, offering plenty of bang for the buck, but falling short on reliability, accuracy and durability under high output applications.

    I must say that after the sound test, I was very disappointed, this system did not stand up in power at all and to be honest, if you want to spend money on speakers then save up to get a RCF speaker, I ended up buying the RCF ART 915 A the one speaker from RCF SOUNDED BETTER THAN THE 2 ALTO SPEAKERS PUT TOGETHER. This is the honest truth, 2500 watts is not present, sorry about this but its just the truth,

      Not everyone has same budget as you. Most people are either just starting their mobile dj or coonsidering these speakers as monitors/side speakers. These are bang for their price.

      Don't judge it by its size. Local companies gives very less wattage in a big box...these international companies gives very high wattage
