    hi, I've been using a pair of thrash for about a year, and they sound really good, they're very loud, I've had no problems at parties with 100 people and medium-large venues, I recommend them to those who want to start and to those who don't need very high definition audio.
    PS: for bass, placed near a wall, they hit really hard 😉

    My band uses a pair of thrash 215s for mains. They are a bit lacking in the low end. But paired with a set of 18 subs the system sounds great. We also use thump 12a for monitors.

    Thanks for the review. Thumps are great for small/medium size gigs and for beginners. Also great back up speakers or for extra fill 👍🏼

    I used the Thrash for mains for a brass band live show. They were surprisingly ok. I think around the low mid area needs to be eq’d on them just a little. They didn’t clip I was driving them. I’m like the other guy I like Yamaha better I had them before the budget ones they’re very clean.

    The trash sounded better to me. Guess it's the 15 woofer compared to the 12. Personally I prefer Yamaha speakers to any brand other than QSC. But yeah price is a big issue. Very good videos bro 👍! Thank you...

      QSCs are great. I had first gen K12s. Loved them.
      Also the first gen Thump 15s are good. Great bass. Don't know how well they would do for long shows vs QSCs without adding a fan for the amp.
      Cheers

    Very good review. Iam 10 months late but nevertheless i have the 215 thrash only because the thump was more expensive. I am here to tell you that I am not mad at the thrash at all. It sounds good. I have a mixer hooked up and I do gigs at event spaces and banquet halls. if I had the money for the thumps I would've gotten those first. However, my outside events, I think I'm going to go get some 12 inch subwoofers just to boost the bottom up a tad bit.

    Are the mackie thump 15 super loud and crisp? Just wondering how well they would sound with my current 4 sound town 18 inch active subs. I am using 2 proreck 15 inch loudspekers now and they just do not have that crisp sound once the volume is really jacked up

    Money wise the thrash 215 is in the same range of the thump 212. Would you prefer the thrash being a bigger speaker or still is better the thump being smaller in size?

    • @fayzereviews
      @fayzereviews  Год назад +4

      Good question! I’d honestly prefer the Thump, even at a smaller size. The features and quality as opposed to the Thrash is worth losing a few inches off the woofer. Thanks for watching!

    Do you think it is okay to get 1piece of thump 212 if I allready have 1 piece of thrash 212(not a pair)? For a rock band rehersal room. For vocals. I assume it would bring some benefit with 3dB SPL difference, and some more clarity for vocals with thump. Is it even OK to combine 1 and 1, signal runs from the mix to left and right main output.

    Hi, I'm looking for a pair of active monitor speakers for our new rehearsal room. We've been using some Mackies for our guitars, backing tracks and vocal, but bass guitar was forbidden. Can a bass signal (running trough a Darkglass modeling pedal) do any damages to either one of these speakers?

      I would think so as you probably don't need the bass output as much for a floor monitor.
      Not sure if a 12" has a shorter range to the sweet spot than the 15, so a 12 may be good as a monitor. Maybe someone else can chime in.
      I just bought a Thump 12" 212, not the Bluetooth. It's wil be primarily a practice monitor Amp just for vocals going through the mackie pro12fx mixer. Everyone else will use their cabs or acoustic drum for practice.
