Absolutely loved this show as a kid. Solely because of this episode, I convinced my dad to drive my sister and I to Philly from Newark simply to try out this restaurant. The food was amazing, we all got whole cheesesteaks with cheese fries. It was cool to see Adam’s photo on the wall too! Definitely one of my favorite childhood memories, I gotta go back to Tony Luke’s sometime soon (:

When this show was on, you could literally watch him gain weight on every week. Every week his clothes fit worse and worse. Glad he eventually throttled back and got healthier.
On a show he did he talked about how for a day or 2 before he wouldn’t really eat and after most challenges he would go and puke them up.
Yeah there`s a reason he quit after two successfull seasons. Glad he took care of himself.

How often did Adam do this during the season? I can see once a week, but if he did this like four to five days a week, that definitely wouldn't be good.
He talked about this in a podcast/interview, it's here in youtube, most of the weight he gained was in MvF Nation, and not the first show.

Was looking forward to eating one of these at this famous spot, it's everything I love BUT having made the trip (and hella hungry) found it was all grease and gristle, maybe I just had a rogue one, I can do grease but way too much gristle, disappointing, are they usually lean?

He would have had an easier time with wiz. It wouldn't have hardened like provolone. It would have gotten cold, but stayed super soft.

For some reason this episode has been burned into my memory ever since childhood I’ve been trying to find it for years, this is close enough I guess
First Time I visit Philadelphia, there was a Tony Lukes Restaurant nearby our hotel... The staff were super nice and... MY GOD cheesesteak was delicious! We don't have this quality here in Quebec and I so miss. Cant wait for the borders to open again to jump in the occasion :D
Real cheese steak does not have cheese wiz on it...I'm from PA
As a tourist who visited PA, Wiz or provolone were choices. So a real steak may have wiz or provolone. I chose the wiz with onions. Reading Station has good steaks as well.
