Bought a 1995 TRiumph Thunderbird 900 that was on its way to the auto wreckers because where it was located the H-D wanted nothing to do with it and quoted hug sums of money. Bought it sight unseen, dropped the engine, flipped it up side down and removed the spray clutch with an Allen bolt being sheared off that was catching one of the gear holes. Ordered a new one from the UK that is an updated one , reinstalled and Triumph starts like it should - a champ.
I just replaced my sprag clutch about 3 months ago with a used part and has now recently broken down again. My best advice is to buy THIS particular part new, it runs about $230
My engine did not come out or go in as easy as you made that look! Also I heard you can get an upgraded sprag? Any news on that unless people mean from the newer years 2001 up over I'm sure I read though the case needs to be altered if you don't have the newer case?

Fun fact my sprag clutch just gave out again. As I said before.. always replace with new factory parts
