    Yes, but you would have to nullify the cut using a pass or some other technique before dealing out the cards. However, host home games that I have been to don't enforce the cut.

    I also do cold stacking quite fast. I agree with you Asad, when you said that about "gambling demo". Spectators often ask me if I can cheat at poker, so it's a nice little routine. You can check it in my video "Don't Play Poker With Me".

    Hi, I have been playing cards for over 43 years. I play only low stakes games BUT as you know pots have a way of growing into huge amounts. Now cheating, when I play cards I only ever play with my best friend at the table. Reason 1. He can also watch the cards for cheats - anything from Hold outs to cold decking to more. Now my friend and I love good straight games it is our favorite hobby. But if we are getting cheated we want to know about it.
    Now we aren't nasty men nor pro's so no beatings or any other really nasty other stuff. Generally if we know we are being cheated beyond a doubt we will cheat back, usually a really really large pot right at the end and we leave as quickly as possible without looking guilty. Having said that, I am sure that we have been cheated fairly professionally and not known. You get a feeling when you have been playing long enough. Could you please give me some "sign's"; "indicators" or other help in knowing when we are getting screwed. This generally doesn't happen in low stakes games. Personally I want to know what a mechanic's grip is! If I am getting cheated by people so good I can't see it, I want to know so We can get out ASAP! because trying to cheat people better than you could be really nasty.
    So please - as many tips and hints that we are getting cheated, (especially the mechanics grip) Thank you and I really enjoy your video's.
    PS how about some gambling basic hints and tips - for example like little or NO booze when gambling. Etc...
    I enjoyed your video

    • @XxOffTonexX
      @XxOffTonexX 9 лет назад +3

      +red5llaw mechanics grip is how most people hold a deck of cards. it is not an indicator that someone is cheating. you can cheat from that position just not as easily. Most common forms of cheating would be switching the deck with a deck in your lap that has been pre stacked or table stacking as you saw here in this video.

    Really good tutorial as always :) ! Just an idea on the cutting process.What i tend to do is that at the last stacking i put one card more.So if were 4 people in the game i would riffle 3 cards the first time getting them inbetween the high value cards and then riffle 4 on top of the last high value card.This way you can do a slip cut saying that you jsut cut the deck but the stuck is ready and untouched! Hope this helped!

    Hey Asad, love to see a gambling video, great tutorial! Something I am currently trying to learn is cold stacking the whole left side packet, do you think this is possible? If so, it would be a lot more effective at gaining higher value cards in a shorter period of time.

    I cheated at a cold table twice. The first time I won 30$ and the second time I won 110. I know it doesn't sound like much, but it was scary. It was at a house of college kids. They were friends of my girlfriends cousins. We were making 5-10 dollar bets. I mucked 3 times, held 3 times, used a cold deck once and bottom dealt 7 bottoms. I know it doesn't sound like something serious, but it was. I mean, wouldn't have gotten shot or anything, but I'm sure they would have beaten my ass if I had got caught.

    Cold Stacking is the wrong term to use here. A Cold Stack or better yet a COLD deck is referring to a deck that has not been shuffled yet and has been arranged in a pre-set order. a Cold deck is the deck in your pocket that you are planning to switch with the warm deck in play when it is your turn to shuffle.

    When I was 6 or 7, playing Go Fish, I devised my own methods of stacking the deck to win against family. If someone taught me this cold stacking method, I would've totaly pwned my family.
    Was this cold stacking taught in Erdnase?
    My favorite card manipulator is Richard Turner. If a blind man can deal specific cards to himself or another, why would you gamble with people who can see?
    Could you share some Richard Turner techniques? (I have a game of Go Fish I'd like to practice for. ;D)
    Awesome work, Thank You.

    • @richards.5964
      @richards.5964 9 лет назад +2

      Richard Turner is a man who's had near-constant practice for decades, to where he's beyond most card men who've ever lived. Even if his techniques were exposed, it would take years to bring it even close to his level. Also, I believe most of his techniques are his own, and aren't specifically referred in any existing books.

      +The "G"
      No, riffle stacking is not explained in Erdnase, however, an alternative method is described, under the caption: "To ascertain the top cards and reserve them at bottom"
      The end result of this combined with a bottom deal would be the same.

    Can u do a tutorial on the TABLED faro shuffle?

  • @kanped
    @kanped 11 лет назад

    A 'cold deck' is the opposite; a prepared deck set in order to take lots of money against a designated player (giving them a full house to your quads, for example). The 'hot' (unprepared) deck is switched out for the cold deck (cold because it hasn't been handled). This is also why poker players say 'that's a cold deck' or a 'cooler' when this situation arises naturally.

  • @kingkong2798
    @kingkong2798 11 лет назад

    Hmm I would say you need to definitely work on your riffle stacking a lot - realistically you wouldn't want to cold stack when I studied with Paul Wilson on this subject, by far the best is to simply cull shuffle such as in EATCT then proceed to stack, cold locating can be very risky and dangerous

  • @JiveDadson
    @JiveDadson 8 лет назад +9

    A "cold deck" is one that a cheater stacked beforehand and secretly switched into the game. It is called that because it literally has not been warmed by the players' hands. Kids today also use the term for a fair deal that virtually dooms a player to go broke on the hand. (I do not like that meaning, but it is well established in the kids today community.)

      1. I scam money out of my friends.
      2. I pull out a huge smile and a mocking laugh at the end of the game/
      3. I give 'em the money back with that "I give it back to you cause it's too easy for meto rip you off at that game"-show-off behavior
      4. I show them how well I can manipulate cards by doing a "follow along" demonstration, too quick for them to really see the "how-to" but flashy enough to prove them they shouldn't play with me.
      ____________
      5. Just because doing so makes you feel so much superior and is worth more than the money you can get out of it.
