He's never respected the works of fellow creatives unless they share his beliefs/politics, and one could argue not even that at times. And he never really cared about George Lucas' vision. Heck, he doesn't even respect his own vision given how many times he contradicts elements in it as time goes by, but then I did mention his issues with continuity. I know I've long given up trying to make excuses for it.
In the end Lucas chose poorly and it's a shame Tartakovsky didn't want the top job when he had the opportunity. Filoni was never Lucas' first pick for a successor.

It's kinda clear that the direction in which the Disney is going. Osha and the other one are an experiment of plague is, and probably Anakin is the final result of it. You will come back to this comment in a few years

Too bad we’ll never find out how qimir’s storyline ties into Mae and Osha’s. Or why Osha’s force abilities are so strong. Or what happened when she wore the mask. Or why Basil is apparently evil. We can only speculate because no way there will be a season 2 after that mess. The best thing about that episode was Sol’s fighting. He deserved a better ending.

I have to wonder if all these characters got axed off in the one season because Headland knew a second season wasn't happening, so just use them for shock-value, or if she actually believed the twins are SO engaging that they can carry the story forward mostly on their own.
the show had so much potential, but for whatever reason they killed off every single interesting character and completely screwed up any good things in the storyline, so now we’re left with a bunch of unanswered questions

I’ve been saying for for years Disney needs to do kotor and the plagueis novel because there beloved stories and crucial to the story and would pop on the big screen. But Disney seems hellbent on destroying the legacy of all the characters and ignoring the now legends material. I wouldn’t trust them to make a kotor live action trilogy anymore

The scene with Plagueis and Yoda felt like they were added in post. Felt random and came out of nowwhere, like the people over at Lucasfilm knew how bad the season was and they wanted to salvage it with cheap fan service. Literally added nothing to the plot.

It's funny how Disney was initially so adamant to avoid the Prequels or any mention of it (let the past die) to solely focus just on the OT but now that they've burnt all bridges with the future (thanks in not small part to their own sequels) they're suddenly all about the Prequels. Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, and now Plagueis. I won't be surprised if they use Revan or Nihilus in the future. I'm just glad I dropped this shitshow at TLJ.

This show genuinely felt like Headland just saw what people loved about the OT/prequels and said “oh I can do better” without taking the time to actually understand WHY people liked the OT/prequels so much, she just wanted to have what she’s done with the Acolyte permanently stitched on to what George and Filoni have crafted.
There’s zero chemistry between any characters in the show. Peoples allegiance and motivations are changing every other episode for no logical reason.
Characters make decisions that also don’t make any logical sense, why did the Wookiee Jedi exile himself? Because he was briefly taken over by a cult of evil space witches? Seriously? Being taken over for less than 5 minutes was enough to make them exile themselves into the alien forest?
What about the Jedi who took that weird cyanide capsule (or whatever it was) why did he feel so guilty over what happened? They never showed us the impact of the situation on the characters, they just all act like it’s this thing that cannot be spoken about for some reason.
What about the Space Witch who says it was a “mistake” for the Jedi to have come back for the children? She literally turns into a weird smoke demon and yet somehow gets stabbed by a lightsaber? And then she claims she was going to let Osha go with Sol? So why on earth did she do that whole smoke monster thing?
This series honestly just made my brain hurt

I swear the only thing I accept from Disney’s canon are Bad Batch, two seasons of Mandalorian, Rogue One and Andor. That’s it. And of course wonderful Clone Wars. I LOVED Vernestra in the High Republic books. They did her so frickin dirty here, it’s incredible how someone can ruin somebody else’s character in few scenes 😂

I was thinking, how do you fight without weapons, reforcing the thousand years of peace? Politics, intrigue, spy action, cold war... that's what The Acolyte could be about. Maybe the sith in the shadows making their moves, preparing. It's a challenge to write this type of story, but there you go, a good writer could pull this up.

It felt like Star Wars and it had such cool elements beyond the other live action shows and movies. It may be flawed and not perfect at all, but it still made me excited and had me literally jumping out of my seat. This is literally the type of Star Wars action I’ve been needing and this show delivered in many aspects.
I think Vanestra is supposed to be evil. That is the only way the story can even try to fit.

I’m genuinely disgusted with Headland, for using her wife Vernesstra for the cover up. The acting for it at the end was decent, but the idea itself ruins the the prequels and almost all of 1-6. It’s insane how palpatine was able to infiltrate the republic/senate/jedi, cause it had never been done before. He was able to do it cause the jedi were clueless of such a powerful threat being around for thousands of years. This show now states that, these same jedi eventually find out about vernestra (since she’s not alive in prequels), which means what 80-100 yrs before phantom menace, there’s a massive internal Jedi cover up involving old padawans turning to the dark side😂😂😂😂😂😂

The Jedi aren’t exactly the smartest, we seen that in ep1-3 they are disillusioned by their own power that they have become incompetent. The institution of the Jedi fell apart in this 100 year period. Which is what the show is trying to portray

I just noticed watching this after the episode. They are forcing jedi lying so much in this show I have to wonder: are they going to explain "nobody knowing" anything in Phantom Menace with that? Are they going to just make everyone assume Jedi are lying about the time of peace and that they havent seen any sith? Before I watch this video I looked at comments on other videos. Some people are going crazy over want a season 2 because of appearance of Yoda and Plaqious. I don’t see why this deserves another season. Bad acting, set designs sucks, and the main reason is the writing sucks. If Disney does another season I would recommend get rid of the whole team and use the team that did Andor.
