This month I finished the main story and some of the post game content of God Eater 3 and I started playing SMT4:A. As I said in the previous video, God Eater 3 is quite a fun game, and while the story isn’t really all that special in my opinion, the characters are quite endearing and you do end up loving the whole cast by the end of the game. The music is really good, and the gameplay loop gives the same addictive feeling that you get when playing MH. SMT4:A so far has been quite enjoyable, having the same great music, setting and gameplay as in SMT4. I do think that the story of SMT4 is better so far, but I haven’t finished the game yet so I could be in for a surprise. Regardless, it still has the same SMT gameplay and vibes we all know and love.
December for me was all about the Pokemon DLC, which I've been taking my time with and enjoying quite a lot. I also spent some quality time with Star Ocean The Second Story R, but as December is always hectic where I work, my gaming time was sadly a bit limited.
For January, I suddenly got the hot spur to play Earthbound (which has been sitting in my Wii U backlog for a long time, though I'm currently playing it on Switch just due to convenience) and of course I want to finish the DLC for Pokemon and hopefully work more on other games I've been working on since last year. I'm actually going to refrain from buy any new games that aren't insanely discounted until I finish at least five or six of the ones in my backlog
It's been a while since I've watched your videos. Great content as usual.
So, in December, I played The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails and I managed to finish the main story. It's a pretty good game and I really liked the story and characters.
Currently, I'm playing Star Ocean: The Last Hope on the PS3. It's a pretty decent game.
Love checking out the videos, always showing off some incredible games. In comparison mine hasn't been too exciting. Finished Spider-Man 2, and still playing Gems of War. Currently working on Lego Star Wars 3, then diving into Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance. Don't really play many new games, as the price point is so hard to justify considering the backlog I have, but had to do so for Spider-Man 2. Always a pleasure to check out the content, hope you had a great Christmas/Holiday season, and you had a wonderful New Years. Looking forward to the next video. Keep up all the great work, and hope 2024 brings you many more amazing games.
Me, I'm doing Octopath Traveler and have 13 Sentinels waiting afterwards. Then perhaps I'll have another go at Lacrimosa of Dana, because that game is simply awesome.
Finished p5r and trails from zero ! This month planning to finish sea of stars, wild arms, ys 8, and p5t. Azure will be tough to grind thru as well
Going back to Azure was the correct choice as it is (in imo) the best of the 12 Trails so far. It will be interesting if you still think it is as cosy though when you get to the end
I’m enjoying it a lot so far; I’m interested to see too. Just got through another day of support requests, so I’m sure some very interesting stuff is about to happen 👍🏻 ^__^

Happy new years everyone. December was a pretty light month overall for and thats gonna be a trend for 2024 for me, less focus on games but not quit overall. December was just Sonic dream team and South Park The Fractured But Whole. January plans just seem to be Prince of Persia lost crown

Happy New Year!! I played Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince last month, started Final Fantasy VII Remake this month, and am excitedly looking forward to Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth later this month!

This month I went back and replayed Paper Mario to hype myself for Super Mario RPG, which I got around Christmas and have played a bit of. Very excited for the Thousand Year Door remake, and also might play Sea of Stars soon
Was pretty busy with the holiday season so only got through one game which was Zwei to finish off a very big Falcom year. Currently playing Granblue Versus to build hype for Relink’s release but if I get time might squeeze in something short from my backlog like Atelier Marie.
I finished Monochrome Mobius and I think it is very underrated. I think it has a great story and I really enjoyed the combat. I have also been playing some visual novels and hope to get to something from my backlog soon (after all the marking have to do!)
I finished SINce Memories (VN by MAGES) which I thought was really good. Currently reading Loopers (very short VN by Key) on PS5 as I only have 2 weeks before having to get on a plane. I like that you can switch between Japanese, English, and Chinese on the fly. Makes it easy to practice reading in different languages, although it does break the immersion. I'll be playing Gurumin on my Steam Deck while I'm away. Was going to play Granblue Fantasy Relink when I'm back but it sounds like the game will get a DLC in April so I might wait for a while.
I actually platinumed Persona 3 P at the beginning of December and tried to find another game to play. Bounced between Octopath Traveler 2 and a few smaller games but finally landed on trying to finish Persona 4G. I'm actually more looking towards playing Reload and Granblue Fantasy Relink in Feburary so I don't have a lot of plans this month lol
Oh man, I'm so excited for Infinite Wealth. Y7 went down as one of my top 5 favorite games of all time (alongside P5R, Subnautica, Bloodborne, and FFXIV) so I'm eeeeeeagerly awaiting Y8. I hope they don't mess too much with... really, anything. Nearly everything was perfect in my opinion. Maybe tweak enemy spawns. Was annoying to finish a random street encounter only to have another encounter spawn IMMEDIATELY in front of you. Otherwise, amazing game and I truly hope the same cast return. Not much marketing showing all the original gang so I'm worried one or two will be missing.
Started Game Pass on my PC to play Persona 5 Tactica... ended up playing Persona 4 Golden instead 😅 I'll probably get into P5T after that...unless Persona 3 Reloaded comes out first 😅 Seems I'm starting my 2024 off with Persona one way or another.
I wanted to finish CRYMACHINA and 13 Sentinels before the end of the year that didn't up happening but I'm really close so fingers crossed for January I know when Atelier Resleriana in the west releases this month that's going to be a time sink for me, the other day I started playing Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure and I haven't laughed this hard in a while. Also as it's short I recommend it for those who don't have a bunch of time to play games and want a great experience.
So good to hear someone playing Rhapsody, I definitely want to get back to that; I bought to first one and everything cause it was so fun! ^__^
Good luck with CRYMACHINA and 13 Sentinels; an extended 2023 is totally okay (at least that's what I'm telling myself with Trails 😅)
@@JRPGJungle Thanks. I know right. I've yet to make the dive with the Trails games, I really hope the Sky Trilogy comes to modern platforms this year.
Me too for sure! Some characters who I can tell from Sky are in Azure right now and I’d really like to know more about them. Fingers crossed since Falcom have a lot of plans for this year, hopefully it’s included :))

Honestly though, unfortunately I haven’t touched it yet, had a little trouble with the juggle recently (but I have some interesting unexpected games to talk about too, so I hope that’ll be interesting :3)

happy new year Tara, I have also started trails to azure which I think will take up all my hours this month, infinite wealth catches my attention but first I have to complete yakuza: Like a dragon and I am also looking forward to Persona 3 Reload, so many good games to come and so little time 😭

I know the feeling to be overwhelmed with mobile game events!
That's why i often enjoyed "idle" rpg where it was easy and fast to be up to date.
Star rails has this effect on me, i'm kinda scared when they'll release the next story part 😅 with all new things they'll add on the side.
Like you i'm super hyped about like a dragon! I'll choose this over P3R since i did atleast 4 full playthrought in my life.
I'll play p3r after yakuza.
I planned 2 weeks off late february to try and wrap up those 2 games since they are just the tip of the iceberg with so many good games coming in february/march and so on. 🥵
Still have yet to do azure (watched a summary of it) but i kinda want to give up on it. I played all other entry.
So i'll go straight into daybreak.
Not enough time anyway, sacrifice has to be made.😈
Sounds like the Star Rail roll out and Resleriana have a similar feeling 😂
And fair enough for Trails, I'm trying to figure out how I'll do Reverie after Azure but have no clue yet lol there's still time for me to work it out, but it's a massive series so I can understand anyone not finding the time for everything in it :3 enjoy this month!

I played a little (swear I finished one chapter, but was a while ago haha), it seems really fun :3 I'm sure I'll enjoy it more with that extra Crossbell knowledge after Azure (just gotta find that time, but that's an after Azure problem :))
There is no way I could just stop a game at the final boss. Just couldn’t do it. I’d drop everything to beat it till I do. Don’t mind going to grind to get stronger so I can either. Yeah we are different there.
I mean, if it was the final boss, definitely I’d push to do it too as the loose end would bug me haha The boss in CRYMACHINA I talked about here is an optional one (I beat the final one last month) and Trails I’m still very much partway through and hoping to see through to the end. So don’t worry, won’t be leaving anything truly important behind (but sometimes can’t fit more specific context like that in a video, so apologies for any confusion!) :)

Have you heard of a game called Omori? I think it came out in 2020.
I've heard of it before, but not for a while. Is it good? :)
@JRPGJungle I'm enjoying it. It's a fairly short JRPG, coming in at just over 20 hours, and the art style is so good but the story is dark
@StephenDickerman I had a look, I kinda remember liking the art style. It looks like it would definitely appeal to me, I’ll have to put it on the list :))
@@JRPGJungle it's not a grand adventure saving the world and killing gods, but it's still a fun, unique story.
I'm on the last chapter of Yakuza 5. Next week it's on to a Atelier game.
