@@Fast_Travel_Gamer I don't know how you're gonna be able to wait to start SC once FC ends, especially if you already have SC ready to go! That being said, have you given thought to how you're going to play The 3rd? Personally, I also started my Trails journey with Sky FC and SC on my Vita about three years ago; figured I'd play the 3rd eventually on PC. Unfortunately, about 140 hours into my SC playthrough, my Vita screen started acting up and I couldn't really use it anymore. Eventually, I wound up picking up a Steam Deck and I scooped up entire Sky trilogy on the cheap. I really didn't want to replay FC, but I did want to start off a new SC play through with completed FC save data, as I had done on my Vita previously. So I just found and downloaded a 100% complete FC save file, imported it into my SC game and BOOM, I got sucked into SC for another 140 hours, albeit this time with Japanese voiceovers courtesy of the Evo mod. Lemme tell you; those VOs are game-changing. I was able to deal with another 140 hours in SC thanks to those VOs; it was like playing a whole other game. Now I'm playing the 3rd after finishing SC a couple of weeks ago; it's... different, but I'm really digging it. It took me about two and a half years and two gaming handhelds to get to this point, but here I am; time well spent, IMO. Enjoy the end of FC, my guy. 💪🏽
The biggest thing that I will miss if the remake hits are the OG Estelle smug sprites. New Azure ones and her 3D model dont hit the same feels as her older sprites. 90% of why I love Estelle are because of them
The most ideal scenario is to just port the Sky Trilogy to the Switch, where the limited but charming graphics and gameplay would fit right in and JRPG fans can easily access them.
My main question is if it’s a port is what will falcom do with western release for the ports?Because as far as we the players and fans know Xseed has the rights for sky trilogy. Have they at a meeting with Xseed about the possible ports or did nisa somehow brought the sky trilogy rights for Xseed. All this leads to more questions. But we have to wait and see either at anime expo, Tokyo game show, the possible Nintendo direct in September, share holders meeting in December, and maybe the game awards if they want a big impact for sky trilogy.
if they remake they not need ask xseed again , it's totaly new game , the rights are not for remake in future but for past game ,but in this case they new to redo a translation too
Some have said that remastering the games under say a 'Kai' name would bypass the rights afforded to XSeed, so those localisation rights would then be up for grabs (most likely going to NISA). I'm not too well versed in localisation though, so I'm not sure if that's verified. The evidence in favour of that though was Zero and Azure Kai, not only did it make the games available on modern hardware, it meant that Falcom once again had full rights to the games, unlike the Evo versions that were all over the shop.
The thing that worries me a little here is Falcom apparently saying they want to finish Kai as soon as possible to commit to the remake. I really hope they don't rush that game. They can remake Sky anytime, but Kai is the crucial next step. I agree, a port would be a better idea. At least for now.
i got into this series last year and finished up the sky games earlier this year. i loved them and just picked up the Crossbell games on the summer sale!
I think I told myself the last time I played Sky that it'd be the last time, but that didn't take into account a remaster - or a remake. I can't see it being a remake though, I'm expecting something akin to Azure and Zero.
Glad to see Falcom are finally getting around to this. We'll almost certainly get this Sky rerelease officially localised in the West. Contrary to what many fans online claim, we don't know for sure whether XSEED or Falcom owns the translation rights for the Sky trilogy. And even if XSEED did, it makes no sense to not license it out to other companies. There's way too much money on the table.
@@Aegith345 Exactly and Cold Steel 1&2 are available on the Switch.... but only on the Japanese Eshop in Asian language. That's also my point why I believe that XSEED has the translation right. Anyway I don't understand XSEED countless refusal because it's easy money for them.
I'm not well versed in localisation rights, but some believe that a remaster would bypass the rights that XSeed have, though I've yet to see concrete evidence of that. Problem with XSeed nowadays is that all the people who worked on the original trilogy are mostly gone, and they're pretty much just a branch for Marvelous Games now.
A remaster or remake counts as a separate "new" game and so the rights can be given away to someone else. XSEED only has the right for the original release not for the remasters or remakes. Licensing also for the music changes and in many cases sadly not the full music soundtrack can be used for the new games, because licensing is a pain in both time and money.
Also even if XSEED wanted to port Sky to modern platforms it is not their decision they just translate and publish, Falcom would need to port original Sky to modern platforms. Either way both Falcom and NIS or XSEED need to work together for a Sky remaster, remake or even a simple port to be published on modern platforms in the west, for Japan, Japanese audience is enough that Falcom makes that decision and never gives away their license to a western publishing company.
I wonder if there will be a Trails game coming up with a lot of time spent in Liberl, allowing them to make the assets for that and a Sky Remake trilogy at the same time. Maybe then they release a Sky chapter in between each game in the penultimate arc.
I personally would prefer a remaster like the Western Crossbell releases. I also really hope they can get Xseed's localizations for a Western release. As much as I appreciate what NISA has done for the series, I still prefer the Xseed approach to localization that is less wooden and direct. It would be really hard to do a better job with Estelle than the Xseed team did.
At the very least they have the base provided by XSeed if remasters happen. I can't see XSeed working on remasters, they're out of the picture as far as I'm concerned. If they won't work with Falcom for Memoire Oath in Felghana which is notably shorter in length and text, then there's no way they'll do so with Sky again.
I've played Sky 1&2 recently and they've aged well I think. It's a great port on PC and looks like an indie game you'd see today. If anything they should remake Cold Steel.
Another one that forgets the original version of the sky games (and Ys Chronicles, Napisthim, Felgana and origin) is the pc version. Everything else is a port.
why cold steel? I replayed it 3 times and never had any issues and it aged well (and remakes often sucks and ruin the originals). The only improvement the sky trilogy needs is maybe in the battle system
@@xSpyroTheDragon Regarding Cold Steel, the problem isn't the gameplay, it's the story. Specifically how it's written, and how much filler it has, the plot itself is fine. And the only changes Sky needs is to use the higher elements in some dungeons, and using the elemental associations from Zero onwards (both for lore consistency reasons). The rest is fine as it is.
@@Javifaa but if you change in any of these games the plot you basically have to redo all sequels too... well as long the changes matter in the sequels
@@xSpyroTheDragon What I propose is, for the entire sub series, to keep the general plot but revise the writing and trim the fat (ah, and reintroduce the stuff from the Drama CD, make certain bonding events mandatory, and in CS II make the black records available on all playtroughts). In theory, Cold Steel I and II could be made into just one game that way. III and IV might be a bit too big for that, even after the trimming. Besides that, keep the balance fixes for CS II and IV, give the animations a bit more love and polish, and the Cold Steel subseries gets a big improvement without needing to redo everything from scratch. Still counts as a remake, because they still need to change the script (and maybe they would use the new engine).
Besides the Sky trilogy there’s also ports of Cold Steel 1&2 for Switch already. They just haven’t been brought over. Xseed has not acknowledged anything about the Falcom titles they hold the rights to. It’s very frustrating. Ys the Oath in Felghana remaster is out on modern platforms and just sitting there waiting to be brought over to the west.
Outside of PC, we're very close to having the whole series available on PS4/5. I have faith it will happen. That and the Switch successor. Whether its remastered ports or a full on remake, it's gonna happen. Not an if, but a when. As someone who already has the PC versions, I'd prefer the remake option, even if it means that'll take longer.
I personally would prefer a remake using their in-house engine, but I’m down for a remaster if that’s out of the cards. My main concern is Xseed/Marvelous and their localization rights of the Sky trilogy.
i hope they just do a HD port with proper framerate animations for the cutscenes. i absolutely love the artstyle this game has. and i feel it only added to the game. i would just put in some quality of life features. maybe can be an option. but having party members level up while not in use would be golden.
I never finished the Sky trilogy because the first game kept crashing on me, and I haven't gotten back to it for almost 5 years. I would be more than happy to get physical copies of the Sky trilogy regardless of if they are just a port, or remaster, or entirely remade.
For what it's worth, I'm a dinosaur from the NES days and I suck at computers. Having said that, I bought a Steam Deck less about a year ago and I was able to play the whole Trails series in chronological order since December 2023 with zero issues starting with Trails in the Sky FC. I'm currently on Reverie and expecting to play Daybreak once the English translation is released next month. The only tinkering needed was telling the Deck to run the game with the Experimental Proton tool instead of the default because the default wasn't able to play the small amount of animated cut-scenes each game has, and setting that up for my Steam Deck literally took like 5 minutes using a youtube tutorial, and then 5 seconds for each game once I was about to run it for the first time. And if you don't care about the cutscenes you can play it as is with no tinkering and just watch them on youtube once they come up in each game because what happens is that the game runs the cutscene with full audio but no video, and once it's done the game continues normally, so it's just a minor inconvenience and not a game-breaking problem. In other words, getting a Steam Deck is a very easy way to be able to play the whole series in order and without running into bugs or having to worry about how to set up the games so that they run properly regardless of the original console they belonged to.
A similar trilogy treatment like DQ 1-3 port is ideal way to introduce the whole Trails in the Sky trilogy globally (finally). And please have it available in multiplatform.
it'd be useless to "remake" the games but also keep 99% of it. Every single comment here is from people who played the games, and they are NOT the target. DQ games were way more aging than Trails games visually. But Sky games could use a remake to improve the pace. Feels like every Trails fan wants "a remaster/remake but also dont touch anything" which makes zero business sense.
Would love a remake. Would be more than pleased with a port. I have them on PC, but even with all updates they can be a bit unstable. A solid Switch port would be a boon.
I've been playing through the Sky trilogy for the first time ever on my Steam Deck this year with the Japanese voiceover "Evo mod"-absolutely LOVED SC, and am currently about 2/3rds of the way through on The 3rd. That being said, if Falcom were to release the Sky trilogy on console, I'd definitely pick up physical copies without a second thought.
I been dying to play this !!! I really hope the remake comes out . An I started with cold steel series then the zero an azure remakes came out an I could play them . Now just gotta play this series !!
I think a port or enhanced version for modern platforms would be totallyfine, it also worked well with the Crossbell games. A complete remake is not really necessary.
The biggest problem is how long it takes to get translations, I can't believe Falcom doesn't hand out the scripts until after the japanese version is out
@@creekandseminole That's wishful thinking and you know it. They've been stuck in their old ways forever, that's not going to change now. I'm at least glad fan translations are often not simple MTLs anymore, so we can carry on without having to wait years.
I think most fans of Trails and those itching to recommend it will be happy with a remaster of the three games. More people get to jump in sooner and the trilogy being on console will be a game changer for a lot of people. Its a trilogy that no matter what happens Im buying the collectors/Limited Editions on console, very happily I might add. Sky will be able to be so much easier to appropriately access and that would make me happy. Falcom and NIS are legit on a roll!
I tried to start with the older titles but just couldn’t get into it. Primarily because of the gameplay. Went to Cold Steel 1 and never looked back. Would love to revisit them in a remake. Also, can we please get English versions of cold steel 1 and 2 for switch!?
For a moment I thought it would be the localization 🤣 I was finally biting the bullet and buying them on Steam, learned why everyone says Estelle truly is Bestelle.
My first guess about the remake was Ys 1 & 2, but you made a good point and I'm kinda convinced. I really hope they remake something else since Trails in the Sky still looks aesthetically pleasing and they give us simple ports/remasters of the trilogy. It could aslo be a remake of Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch, which also looks aesthetically pleasing, but I'm really crossing fingers for an Ys game like Ys V or 1&2 which are very old and definitely need a remake 🙏
For me, Star Ocean Second Story R is kind of the gold standard of remakes for older sprite-based JRPGs. If they did even half of that, it'd be insane. I could also see them reworking Sky FC and SC to be one cohesive game.
I remember modding the steam version of the entire trilogy because jp language was not available, then I realize the voice mod was from a version they release only in Japan that was like a remaster in 2014, when even the side quest were voice acted. My sorprise when in Crossbel arc and Cold Steel series this was not a thing, xd.
I could see them going to the trouble of a remake if they were already having to make 3D models of Liberl areas due to going back there for a subsequent arc of the series. Sky trilogy was my starting point and it truly is the best place to start and hopefully more people will get to experience the full story from there.
Hopefully they add mention of Johan (Or rather, Ash - it's hard to know if he's taken the alias by this point) in Trails In The Sky (Remake), along with HD graphics and fully voiced (Pity Sandy Fox retired as Renne after Cold Steel IV)
Thanks for the clarification, I was confused myself since that's a insane list for one company. Not even AAA companies are transparent or have that many games in the work, Falcom is really ambitious lately and I'm here for it. Playing the Trails trilogy in 4k, 120hz would be amazing.
As long as they include full voice acting for the main story, I'll be fine without an outright remake. A full English dub for a Western release would be much appreciated though, as the Evolution ports already handled the Japanese side.
Yeah, but they'd have to use the crew from Reverie onwards - Sandy retired from the role after CSIV because the voice was putting a strain on her throat
Is it possible we could be looking at an N.Sane trilogy style collection for the Sky trilogy? That could account for the differing reports on both remaster AND remake.
Id be even happier if those ports get a physical release as we only have FC in the west as a physical. Would love to have sc and the 3rd as hard copies to add to my collection
Well, maybe I'll go and buy it on console if it gets a port... but atm, just started SC #4 (y'know, the part where you get context of a picture Dorothy took), so... yeah, I'm just gonna keep playing SC and then 3rd, and finally, I'll be able to just play the games on my playstation! So close, yet so far!!!! Definitely gonna complete my collection if they make releases for console.
Please, no hd-2d, no quality of life improvements, no updated sprites or anything like that. Just repackage the old stuff and put it on 1 disk. Thank you.
Here is the thing, how do they want to remake it? Similar to Ream style or the Van Arkdyle style? I think if they want to do a fresh start, a modification of the Ream style is due, with a more Persona / LAD battle strategy.
I just got into the legends of heros series with daybreak just this week and 4 chapters in and im loving ther characters especially van and aaron. Is there any other game recommendations in the series?
was going to get the trilogy digitally on the psvita to preserve but decided not to due to only the first two being there. hopefully a physical release not through limited run so i can have a preserved physical collection.
I still haven't finished FC...I'm almost on last chapter...I haven't played din like 5 months though....I'm wondering if I should just wait to see what is happening with these before I continue on. Was playing on PC but I'd prefer handheld or console.
I hope they remake the Sky trilogy or at least the first 2 games. I would certainly buy it again and replay it. It's still my no 1 favorite JRPG of all time, I'd love any excuse to replay the game again.
I remember there were reports of Hoyoverse talking with Falcom to collab with Honkai: Star Rail in the future. I have a theory that they’re going to release the Sky remakes when the collab comes out because the series will naturally have a lot of newcomers and just more eyeballs in general (if the collab is real ofc 😅)
Yep! You can't deny how popular Honkai: Star Rails despite me not giving a shit about a game like that. It might even get a Switch 2 port since it is also on a console, the PS5.

I’d gladly accept a port to Switch, particularly with a physical version. I bought Skies 1 on Steam and was enjoying it, but I just don’t want to sit at my pc desk any longer than I have to these days.
I have a potato for a laptop, yet I can still playthrough the Liberl arc on Steam with a PS4 controller. But we do need a console release to get more people to play, even as a remake.

The biggest problem will always be the translation practices, if we dont get a fan translation patch we will stand to wait 2 to 3 years for an English release, im sure someone will say learn Japanese, thats not the point, they can very well have simultaneous releases but their antiquated practices prevent that from happening thus why we have this problem.
Sky SC is still my favourite Trails game (with FC in my top 5) so getting them remade to look/play like Kuro would be my dream! But, even just ports I’ll happily take so I can own physical copies I can actually play (I bought the Japanese ps3 copies for my collection)
I'm at the very end of Sky FC on PSP and was planning on jumping to SC right after. Now I don't know what to do! Do I just keep going or wait in the hopes for an updated version before starting SC!?
Man i love the Trails in the sky. I remember playing the first chapter on the PSP, I found a cord that would allow me to see it on my tv. So there i was basically holding this cord with my pinky to stay plugged into my PSP, cause it just would not stay. But man that was so enjoyable just kinda janky playing this game on the PSP on my tv.
I started with Sky last year and I'm currently playing CS3, it's been quite a journey, and I've loved every single one of the entries. I think that albeit a bit slow, FC is the best entry point overall. It's such a nice and comfy game that you can just take your time getting to know the characters and world. Such a satisfying game.... Plus it has chest messages, which I miss a lot in the CS games
I'd be happy either way, but a remake could be interesting. I've played the PC versions so I know the story and probably listen to the music way too much, but if they remade it, I would love to see what would change and what stayed the same.
Basically, a somewhat "remaster" port to new-gen consoles so it makes the game more accessible. If it comes with japanese voices instead of the english ones, much better.
@@thecattermat There's no English dub for the sky games, but they do have some battle voices in English which sound kind of annoying so I think that's what he's referring to.
I think this is the biggest problem for any long-running game franchise with a sporadic release on various platforms, some of which are so outdated that it's impossible to play without piracy emulation. I think that's probably why some francises like the early Final Fantasy games being re-released collections for the Switch.
further questions might be whether they want to release the game this year or next, since the nintendo switch is quite prominent in japan and the next generation console of nintendo "might" release next year as well. a port with some remaster features would be cool, but publishing the trilogy on a platform that might be replaced next year would be an odd choice as well. i personally hope for a hd remaster rather than a remake, though i'm hooked anyways.

90% of why I love Estelle are because of them
They may give us the option to switch between new and old sprites like star ocean did! ( i think it was star ocean) that would be nice
What i dont understand is why Sky is not on Switch. They had no issues putting the Crossbel arc on that
same could be said about PS4 and such? maybe because its old? Crossbell only recently got localized and thats why it was kinda a current game.
I mean now is the PERFECT time to announce them during the 20th anniversary of Trails! I hope is true!
One of the reasons I've decided to try and go to the panel at AX over the Metaphor panel is the hopes of Sky news.
Surprise no review for the English release for day break. Shocked if they didn’t ship you a review copy.
I didn't apply for a key. I've played the game already and have other stuff I want to try out, so I skipped on this occasion.
I'm still waiting on Cold Steel I & II for switch..
It's possible. Many are hoping that a game or arc is due to be set in Leman, so there could be some overlap there.
I have been waiting for ports of the Sky trilogy to Switch to get into the series so hopefully these come out eventually
I have been waiting for the same thing too! I always wanted to get into the series.
I'm playing these on my Steam Deck right now...currently on SC
I wouldn't even look to XSeed anymore. The people who went above and beyond for Sky are gone, and XSeed is more just a branch of Marvelous Games now.
Am I the only one who wants to see a proper, current Kiseki/style remake of the Gagharv Trilogy?
I never thought about it but now with this realization, I was shocked that I went through all that
I got goosebumps, damn, never expected that remake was on the table.
Don't know about the whole trilogy, but FC and SC is a must.
That’d be great really! I’m super excited about the Dragon Quest remakes
They might as well remaster them then. Remaking 2d games as 2d games is pointless
it'd be useless to "remake" the games but also keep 99% of it.
If we actually got something ambitious like a full 3d remake...I would weep tears of joy lol. I'm expecting ports though
Someone in the comments mentioned english voice acting...even that would be a HUGE win
**crossing fingers for ports**
They’re doing it!!!!!!!
@@monadude I was so hyped
I've been playing through the Sky trilogy for the first time ever on my Steam Deck this year with the Japanese voiceover "Evo mod"-absolutely LOVED SC, and am currently about 2/3rds of the way through on The 3rd.
That being said, if Falcom were to release the Sky trilogy on console, I'd definitely pick up physical copies without a second thought.
I been dying to play this !!! I really hope the remake comes out . An I started with cold steel series then the zero an azure remakes came out an I could play them . Now just gotta play this series !!
What book are you flipping through early in the video?
I'd be more than happy with a straight port. Love the Sky games.
I think a port or enhanced version for modern platforms would be totallyfine, it also worked well with the Crossbell games. A complete remake is not really necessary.
The biggest problem is how long it takes to get translations, I can't believe Falcom doesn't hand out the scripts until after the japanese version is out
I think they have acknowledged that internally so things will be getting better from here on out
@@creekandseminole That's wishful thinking and you know it.
They've been stuck in their old ways forever, that's not going to change now.
I'm at least glad fan translations are often not simple MTLs anymore, so we can carry on without having to wait years.
The translation isn't even good.
not a problem these games are intended for their audiences which is in japan its icing on the cake we lucky to even see these.
@@rammur What you describe is a problem lol.
Make a straight Switch port of the trilogy's Steam version, and it's a day one, full price buy from me. No need for fancy shmakes.
I just finished trails in the sky on PC. I loved the series, if it gets a full blown remake and more accessible to the masses I would be super happy.
I had a gigachad idea:
- Sky trilogy remaster
- CASSIUS PREQUEL GAME
For a moment I thought it would be the localization 🤣
I was finally biting the bullet and buying them on Steam, learned why everyone says Estelle truly is Bestelle.
Just port it over, you don’t need to remake everything.
Exciting times we live as Kiseki fans. Kondo is going to make us eat very well!
Hopefully it would just be a remaster to up resolution and sharpen visuals, and not a remake. The original style has its charm.
Sky story is so lovely and warmth, everyone should play it 🥰
Is it possible we could be looking at an N.Sane trilogy style collection for the Sky trilogy?
You mean "Rean"? (Lol, I made that mistake the first time I played CS too)
I just got into the legends of heros series with daybreak just this week and 4 chapters in and im loving ther characters especially van and aaron. Is there any other game recommendations in the series?
was going to get the trilogy digitally on the psvita to preserve but decided not to due to only the first two being there. hopefully a physical release not through limited run so i can have a preserved physical collection.
They need to do a port of all three games onto the switch or something. Can you even get the 3rd one ? I have the first two on the psp and psvita
I still haven't finished FC...I'm almost on last chapter...I haven't played din like 5 months though....I'm wondering if I should just wait to see what is happening with these before I continue on. Was playing on PC but I'd prefer handheld or console.
I started with the Crossbell games, then CS1-4, Reverie, Daybreak and then started but didn't finish Sky1
I hope they remake the Sky trilogy or at least the first 2 games. I would certainly buy it again and replay it. It's still my no 1 favorite JRPG of all time, I'd love any excuse to replay the game again.
The only problem is that isnt on console since apparently no one has a computer or a steamdeck. A remaster would be enough imo.
When exactly is the date of Trails 20th anniv?
June 24 (going by release date) so it has already past
I remember there were reports of Hoyoverse talking with Falcom to collab with Honkai: Star Rail in the future. I have a theory that they’re going to release the Sky remakes when the collab comes out because the series will naturally have a lot of newcomers and just more eyeballs in general (if the collab is real ofc 😅)
Yep! You can't deny how popular Honkai: Star Rails despite me not giving a shit about a game like that. It might even get a Switch 2 port since it is also on a console, the PS5.
Yep, Hoyo devs are huge fans of the series. They even took inspiration from it for Star Rail. Just makes me love the game even more ngl.
@@FabioGrenkh WOW! I didn't know that!
@@PawapuroJRPGfan878 Yeah, the producer of HSR has Tio as his profile pic for the last ten years, and they used company funds to have a fan meeting with Kondo himself lol
@@FabioGrenkh they should bring tio in genshin than star rail crap
And I thought they were going to fix the incest
We need a new version, it's about time, it could be full 3D or 2.5 and I'd be happy.
I’m curious what Anelace has been up to.
i think it'll be similar to how zero and azure we're released in the west recently. and i'm also thinking they may want to get it out in the west before we get o zemuria so fans can understand whats going on more
I’d gladly accept a port to Switch, particularly with a physical version. I bought Skies 1 on Steam and was enjoying it, but I just don’t want to sit at my pc desk any longer than I have to these days.
I hope a possible remaster or port of the trilogy will still be released on the PS4 and with physical versions.
I would also add localization into different languages.
I've played the first two but a little of the 3rd because I don't have the patch.
Im currently playing SC on the vita, and dont want to play part 3 on pc. Hopefully they just re-release all 3 together one day.
I have a potato for a laptop, yet I can still playthrough the Liberl arc on Steam with a PS4 controller. But we do need a console release to get more people to play, even as a remake.
I suspect it's going to be a tweaked and reworked port of the Trails in the Sky Evolution games to all the major platforms.
i’ve been trying to finish this trilogy for the past 2 years and i can’t do it. i don’t hate the games but i don’t like playing on pc and i don’t have a psp to play them on. i modern port of the game is just what i need right about now.
Just started playing the sky trilogy a few weeks ago on steam. Currently on chapter 4 of SC, but still would be cool to own these elsewhere.
I want more people to have access to the Sky Trilogy, but I also really want a Tokyo Xanadu 2.
Is it the bad localization?
Basically, a somewhat "remaster" port to new-gen consoles so it makes the game more accessible. If it comes with japanese voices instead of the english ones, much better.
super fans like japanese voices but actually the majority and definitely casuals prefer english dub
@@thecattermat There's no English dub for the sky games, but they do have some battle voices in English which sound kind of annoying so I think that's what he's referring to.
@@thecattermat Sky only has english voices for battles, while the japanese voices have both for battles and story moments (with some side-stories).
That's all it needs.
What if they re-released Sky Evolution instead for English?
I think this is the biggest problem for any long-running game franchise with a sporadic release on various platforms, some of which are so outdated that it's impossible to play without piracy emulation. I think that's probably why some francises like the early Final Fantasy games being re-released collections for the Switch.
I would love a port instead of a remake really.
further questions might be whether they want to release the game this year or next, since the nintendo switch is quite prominent in japan and the next generation console of nintendo "might" release next year as well. a port with some remaster features would be cool, but publishing the trilogy on a platform that might be replaced next year would be an odd choice as well. i personally hope for a hd remaster rather than a remake, though i'm hooked anyways.
