Barbara Reels In a Big Catch | Shark Tank: How It Started
The comment sections are always joking on Barbara but the deals she actually does make she actually helps, they become more successful, and they don’t just all fall through… she really just follows her gut instinct and it works for her
yeah. that's what great about barbara. he's invest in people not some sweetalker.
Barbara wants to do more with these two guys than just be their business partner.
@@tj.espygil4544 lol I meannnnn 😏🤷🏾♂️
She chooses people over products…. Very conservative and she does very well
People don't joke on Barbara because she makes losing deals, we joke on Barbara because for years she wouldn't invest in anything over $200,000 (seriously check the stats) and would insult the entrepreneur on her way out as though she was angry that they asked for a price she couldn't afford, which wasted a slot on the panel and hurt the ability to get bidding wars going.
It's amazing how several entrepreneurs just walk into the tank and get a deal that changes their life forever. It makes me smile to know people can actually make their dreams come true.
forbes published an article about how about 70% of all deals made are either modified or abandoned after the show. Mark has a 86% record of following through. The others are around 50% or lower. The good thing for these products though is the publicity that they get.
Shows the real value in the sharks s
Well first and foremost, no other shark would be willing to invest in just whatever deal that comes into this show if big money wasn't involve. 🤗🤑🤑 So basically, they're only in here for profits, they're businessmen afterall, and obviously the og owners of em businesses gonna climb the ladder of success together/ through their help and expertise plus their knowledge of how to multiply money 🤪
@@abhishekbhandari6362 yeah, they do due diligence after and check on the company. Some of those are pretty fishy and Barbara and Robert sometimes give a deal because they like the person. They got the right feeling. Then, they were like fkkkkkkk, no amount of feeling can save this. LoL
You can't blame them. And some entrepreneurs are just there for the exposure too. They can make a real good pitch and numbers, just for the deal to fall after.
The Shark marketing is the best thing from the show.
@@ikyiAlter That is a valid point.
Barbara is the most underrated shark! People hate on her, but her deals make money the most!
That's why she carefully chooses what businesses she wants to invest in.
Actually no, Lori has made the most money out of all the sharks. Especially with scrub daddy being the #1 brand from shark tank. Lori has the top 5 brands from the show.

@@alexjalloh91 y r u commenting it again and again
@@alexjalloh91 Lori has made the most out of her Shark Tank investments, true. Original comment is suggesting that Barbara makes the most return per investment. Lori has invested in a LOT of business in the show, so their are bound to be bad cookies that crumble.
Barbara might make the most money relative to the amount that she invests
after watching shark tank for a while, Barbara and Kevin are my favourites...Barbara mad underrated fr

The good thing for these products though is the publicity that they get. Robert is the worst at following through. Mark is by far the best. The rest are somewhere in the middle
@@abhishekbhandari6362 I saw a similar article but no shark was over 55 percent.
People give Barbara a lot of heat for not always investing, but she prefers to invests in projects she knows she can help a lot. Smart and she made money.
@@Narrowcros she gets a lot of heat for the lame reasons she goes out...deservedly so.
@@Narrowcros If I were in there im going with barbara or lori
Barbara: Everyone else stole my line and said it before I got a chance to say it. Just for that reason, I'm in
Lol🤣🤣🤣
Barbara was so smart to help them. I’ve had their lobster rolls and they’re amazing 😍 so happy for them
YES!!! I tried them in Birmingham Al. line was around the corner and it was 'DELICIOUS', I tried to get another one but they SOLD OUT..
I just tried them the other day and they're trash. Idk how you all eat that bland garbage lobster
@@mustardketchup6954 Maybe your taste bud is trash idk
Mark and Robert were in a bad day or something? Super whiny in that day
Robert’s whiny everyday
That 55k is now mixed up with that 50mil, congrats to these dudes !
With all the jokes about Barbara’s, you can tell how amazing she is in what she does. If not all, most of her investments are doing really well. I love her on the show!!
I’m never seen anyone with a more fragile ego than Robert
omg, when I heard him I was thinking the same thing!
rightt and he's basically the worst shark, like get off your high horse my man
@@saidchammas Barbara is worse Ngl
@@SomethingIveseen she's usually for weird reasons like gut feelings etc. but robert goes out because his feelings are hurt like dude youre 50 not 5 grow up this is business.
There's Mark
Just had one of their Connecticut rolls in PA. Was 'Chef's Kiss'
They ARE FREAKING MILLIONAIRES CONGRATS COUSINS
The "Sarcastic attitude coming out of the mouths of Mark, Kevin, and Daymond was appalling! Their business idea is ingenious!
Barbara made a great deal with them, and I'm happy they're doing excellently since they were on the show.
I was born and raised in MA. Loved the Maine Lobsters, and I miss them.
I can't get a lobster here in VA that taste anything like Maine Lobsters.
But Daymond and Mr. Wonderful show up to eat the FREE lobster and walk away with their tail between their legs. Haha.
That guy really had a poker face on for the pitch. Expressionless, then you see the update the guy is all smiles with perked up eyes.
Barbara is a genius 💕
And 10 years later they are worth a bag, have locations everywhere and are one of a kind! Well done
What's interesting to me is how very negative some of the sharks were and that Barbara didn't really speak much. Yet the entrepreneurs didn't get discouraged and gratefully accepted an offer that took more (3X) of their business than they initially offered. It worked out fantastically.
I actually appreciate Barbara taking their business off the ground and seeing these 2 cousins for the great guys they are because the other Sharks really went out for the stupidest reason.
Mark : You are answering the rest more than me, I'm out.
Kevin : Theres nothing special about the business, I'm out.
Damon : I'm not getting a good deal, I'm out.
Robert : Barbara questioned my Marketing/Business abilities, I'm out.
I don’t think Damon’s is a bad reason. If he doesn’t get a decent deal he will be out, he’s a business ffs
@@deepanshjawrani yes but Damons track record and definition of "Good deals" is lowballing them.
Unlike Kevin who accurately prices the company in his asking.
@@deepanshjawrani as opposed to Barbara here to, who saw their potential and decided to meet them in the middle and negotiate.
Instead of lowballing and then go out just because they cant meet you at your offer. But yeah its a business, if dont like the deal just go out.
The fact is, the other sharks' egos are why they didn't make an offer. None of them have the talent and skills to do what Barbara did with the business. That is her niche. Rather than admit that, the other sharks criticized the Cousins. That's called gaslighting. They're narcissists. A transparent individual would have just said that's not my niche, and I'm not the best partner for you rather than criticize and blame the Cousins for doing something wrong.
I stoped at this truck in northville MI paid over $20 for 3 lobster tacos and it was worth every penny freshest lobster very flavorful better than a upscale restaurant Barbara must’ve made a killing on these guys and made the others look like amateurs
Congratulations, guys! Great job!
Barbara for sure has the best deal to profit ratio out of all of the sharks
barbara, lori, and kevin are my fav
Wow! Good for the cousins!
Lol Kevin taking a dig at the flip flops 😂
50 Million ‼️ Rob’s not there 🤣🤣
Robert eats lunch in Canada.
Amazing Barbara 👏
This weekend I spent $25 on a CT Roll at a local brewery. Worth every penny.
Barbara is top notch 👌
Most of Barbra investment is into the food industry aka franchise. She’s in Realestate and made most of her money there that’s why she can bring a lot of value to such a business and that’s why she only invests into them and for the rest she’s out 😂
The JOKES ON MARK! Im SO GLAD THAT THEY PROVED HIM WRONG AND BARBRA WAS SMART!!
I just had one of their lobster rolls from a Cousins truck in Greenville, Texas. It was excellent! OK I had two.
The power of prime time television.
I just had there food it is amazing
I had their food today. Expensive but good and fast!
Happy for barbara
We found the food truck today and we ordered a lot of things to try.. they are beyond delicious 🤤 totally worth the price
I love their food. They have a truck in central and southeastern Virginia.
The guy that said welcome to the family was hella high
I just had cousins yesterday for the first time at a food truck in Wilmington, de. I felt like I got ripped off. $16.50 for a Connecticut lobster roll. When I got home, the roll was so small, I was hungry an hour later. I felt like I got ripped off. Never again.
For the sake of lobsters that they’re still alive… I am out. 😂😂 Only Kevin can come up with something like that
I am eating the lobster tots right now its amazing I live in New York there is a truck in fresh meadows now
50 million. Great job
love barbara
Just had their food from one of their food trucks and OH MY GODDD
I’m enjoying a delicious bowl of cousins maine lobster bisque soup right now, it’s delicious 🤤
I remember these guys on Food Truck Race
Sabin gets his face on The Food Channel shows all the time. But he does have TV and acting experience.
I noticed Barbara like most deals where real estate is involved in some kind of way.
They killed it! :)
barbara really knows food..
I'm frrom maine and can get any deal up here if ur smart for AWARD WINNING LOBSTAHS AND LOBSTAH ROLLS. there is no other lobstah better. Gordon Ramsey even says that. If these sharks wanna make bank they should actually come up here and check it out cuz its what this state is made on
They should have a menu name after robert name angry lobster
Their food is delicious!
17 is my lucky number too
Had their F&C tonight in NJ on the waterfront...bland is how I would sum it up.
Not Barbra and I having the same favorite number
LMAO Barbara for the win
Congratulations GUYS and Barbara! Well done.
wow!!
Barbara: the lobsters are talking to me and for that reason I’m out
Lmao
Just had some today. It was good but the price made it mid lol. Paid $16.5 for the grilled cheese lobster tail.
Now they have 48 trucks
If you have a great business and you are a good looking man, you will get an offer from Barbara, esp. if it is a food business. lol
i dont like food trucks for one reason They are Overpriced once i paid $20 for shrimp with noodles a small portion too then once i paid $35 for 2 grass fed burgers off a truck and it wasn't all that i have made better stuff on my grill The Quality is not there for most of these trucks and they charge way too much this is why i avoid them
I agree. I try to avoid them.
Thank God for Barbara for being a true diamond in the ruff!!!!
So Barbara invested 55k and got 8 million
No that was their sales not profit
Mark would be thinking 🤔 now What the hack I did in my ego.. these guys went to right hand.. Barbra.. she is a mentor and genius as simple
lobsters deserve to live without being captured by this company, so cruel.
Go Barb
These deals back then were measly. 55K? They're investing like half a million nowadays.
The lobster roll is now $21.
$24 now
nope 20 IN NJ!
Sharks like lobsters.
I WISH those lobster rolls were $13. I paid $31 for one today with chips and a soda from Cousins. Meat, butter, bread… and for that reason… I’m out
Some of these sharks can be extremely arrogant for no reason it's crazy
Robert is too emotional
Now they charge $27 for a lobster roll...
Barbra made over 10 million
Within 2 years they made over 60 million in profits. They're laughing all the way to the bank. 😀
From $13 to $24
So Barbara made 75 million on this deal?
Cuban messed on himself...
Robert regretted that
The food is great but outrageously priced
For the sake of the lobsters that are still alive I’m out 🤣
don't get this.......food trucks make a killing......why were the other sharks so negative - they barely let them talk.......now look.....what a miss....way to go Barbara
exactly!
Robert has no idea what he can do 😂 he pays other people to do it
50million sales? Where did u get all those lobster. Dont make lobsters endagered species
barbara always make the most least amount of money asking became the most profits company ever step on sharktank
Why wouldn't they just get a loan and ramp up to 10 trucks? Why have a general manager for 1 truck? These guys are horrible, none of what they were saying made any sense.
I had this today. Absolutely garbage. Barbara got me though. They had celebrities in the side of the truck so I was like oh Chef Ramsey likes this it must be good.
Terrible, terrible terrible
7.5mil off 55k nice one for barb
All of these sharks are arrogant. Rob says i dont need to prove myself, the investor must tell us what he can offer and plans to do to grow. Mark is rudest, then daymond, occasionally rest.
The fact is, the other sharks' big fat egos are why they didn't make an offer. None of them have the talent and skills to do what Barbara did with the business. That is her niche. Rather than admit that, the other sharks criticized the Cousins. That's called gaslighting. They're narcissists. A transparent individual would have just admitted that's not my niche, and I'm not the best partner for you rather than criticize and blame the Cousins for doing something wrong. Everyone has a niche. If it's not your niche, don't blame other people who are doing it better than you can do it.
Just had a lobster roll from these guys..pretty good but $24..pricey
what state do you live in? i just came from their food truck and paid 20 for their lobster roll
@safizzle. it was $24 with tax..Florida.
Owww
They can't even buy another truck with that
Is Barbara’s health ok?
Yes. She's just super old.
Barbara always look business is not good to be true than good to be true.
Robert and his stupid ego letting him down again.. 😂
50 million in sales, lets say 25% is net(might be less, might be more) that's 12.5million, and 17% of that is, 2.125 million dollars!
Not bad for 50k dollars investment
Barbara got a 15% stake after negotiation. Food businesses generally net 15 to 20% of revenue. So more like 1.6 mil.
Lobster business isnt so good anymore
