Trust me it's not worth it. The person ends up resenting you / the whole idea of Christ and you can end up distancing yourself ft Christ as a result. Emotions are high when you like a nonchristian that's why all I can say is PRAY and listen to the small voice. If it's a NO there's s reason why it won't work. He treated the relationship as if we were already married before the relationship had even gotten to that stage. Even his family treated us that way, and he never even proposed. It felt so fake because I personally never felt that the relationship ever evolved to marriage stage, yet he was always talking about future this and that instead of being in the present moment. I eventually left because after almost 5 years I still wasn’t ready for marriage with him. Although he was sure, I wasn’t, and it is so important for both people to be on the same page.
I don't think it's really rushing. Just be honest about what you want and where you stand in a relationship. I think that, that sometimes people are just not on the same page, and when this happens, some people can feel kinda pressured by the one that is in front of you in the relationship. Also, I don't believe in converting for love. Religion shouldn't be for another person. Religion is simply, feeling God in your heart and trusting God. That's when you are a true believer.

He was holding me back. I should have never let him stay with me those few days. He wouldn’t leave me alone and kept trying to get his basic needs met, food clothing etc. no. Nobody told him to quick his job and turn in his car and get evicted on purpose.
if your main priority is work, exit yourself from the dating field. The whole point of dating is to find the one you want to spend your life with. I think it can be stressful on either sex if their partner is moving way faster than you're comfortable with and it's a really touchy subject to bring up. You don't want to make them think you don't love them and want those same things but if one of you like myself was in a 6 year relationship that went very bad then met someone completely opposite and wonderful you wouldn't want to risk losing them by possibly hurting their feelings that you just need to take it a tiny bit slower then you are

I can't believe at 24 years I have to teach some 40 year old women (Tamera and Tamar) what "rushing" is. It is placing UNDUE pressure on the relationship. I put pressure on a guy to be with me before and it definitely pushed his further away from the idea. I didn't allow it to naturally happen, because I wasn't dating anyone else, so I didn't want him to date anyone else. I feel like some women are more certain sooner than some men, but if that guy isn't ready .. trying to force him into it will either push him away or you'll be in a half-assed relationship. I learned my lesson. A guy who wants to be with you will choose you and there's no need to rush .. and if he doesn't, he just wasn't supposed to be your guy. Simple, really.

I have never been in a relationship so I don't have anything to say in regards to the topic but I will say that when I do have my first relationship, I do want it to be my only one! So I plan to make certain that this man can accept me flaws and all. I want to do premarital counseling before and after I get married so hopefully my husband will be fine with that.

Sometimes we can push our loved ones in the right direction. Thats true, I wanted my ex to get his priorities straight, didn’t work out. Found out years later, he had no high school diploma , nothing. He lied. He had a family behind my back. He had a great job but quit, lost his place on purpose to try and live off me. He thought I was going to give him a better life, while he tried to get a music career going. I put that mofo put. Not on my dime and time.
I would come across things that I felt was good for him to make money At and he didn’t want to do it. He wanted to take his time and figure out what he wanted and wanted me to struggle and build him up and etc. nope. He didn’t want to pull his weight. He wanted me to be responsible for him. He was holding me back. I should have never let him stay with me those few days. He wouldn’t leave me alone and kept trying to get his basic needs met, food clothing etc. no. Nobody told him to quick his job and turn in his car and get evicted on purpose.
if your main priority is work, exit yourself from the dating field. The whole point of dating is to find the one you want to spend your life with. Youre wasting other peoples time if your intentions arent to be serious, thats simply playing with someone heart who would be interested in you at the moment.
