You are right but NOT TO THE WRONG PERSON. I am only getting married once.
I swear, once I surrender my desires of wanting to be married in 2022, opportunities, awards, self love, self care started happening in 2023. I was traveling more internationally and just not caring about my single life. In addition, I've made it clear to God that I DO NOT WANT TO DATE ANYMORE and I want to MEET MY HUSBAND. I made it Clear to God that I DO NOT WANT TO BE SOMEONE'S GIRLFRIEND, but TO BE THEIR WIFE. In Feb 2024, I met this older guy who expressed interest in getting to know me. Now, he and I are in a relationship and we both have shared our boundaries, non-negotiables, expectations, and I've shared that I'm dating to married and do not want my time wasted (i gave him the "Tiffany Pollard" statement LOL!). We're currently going well, taking time to learn each other, and helping each other grow. I'm praying that this is the husband that God has for me.

I married at 24... separated at 33...living together due to supporting my x... many years...finally free @48...happy being single...would love to have a good relationship but don't feel up to it at this point maybe one day ..I love being at peace ..not fighting n arguing n stress .. happiest I've ever been the only problem is sometimes you miss certain things but my peace is so much greater...I just want peace

But I felt her response when she said it because when he's the one everything will flow and be just how it's suppose to be, will there be off days ABSOLUTELY because we are human but even in the OFF DAYS it's still going feel and be right and peaceful. I declutterred and removed all dating apps. Completely !!!! I’m single single for the first time for 4 years and I’ve found myself building my spiritual life and career! I recentered men and I’ve learnt there’s a lot I need to do. Bible study,money habits and hold me accountable

I'm so grateful that I stumbled across this video! After growing up with emotionally unavailable caretakers, overstaying in environments where I felt out of place, people-pleasing and more concerned with being seen as a good person, I ended up repressed, deeply emotionally scarred, bitter, angry, and depressed. Now that I'm 34, I realize that the only reason why I want to be in a relationship is because I'm very lonely and desire to be chosen by someone. I'm so grateful that being single at my age is not something to be ashamed of. I can go back to school, travel, work on myself/career, strengthen my faith and put in more work into developing my friendships. Subscribed
I respect these type of women. Promoting a healthy woman first who’s not risking to sacrifice self for the look of marriage /relationship. Take care of self to choose from that space only is key!
I absolutely love this video. I’m 32 and it is so hard to date during these times. I hate dating apps with a passion lol. No one is serious on there. You might engage in a brief conversation and then the person goes ghost. I much rather meet my person in person in an organic way for sure. Thank you for reminding me about the importance of thriving during the single season. Sometimes I forget about the pros of being single because I’m always thinking of the cons and that time is flying and I’m getting older.

How do I get over the feeling of being too old to still being single? I truly feel like I'm gonna be too comfortable being alone to be in a relationship.
Focus on things that make you happy . Travel ,education , home ownership, business independence,etc. Time is short and we have to LIVE this life with or without a partner .

This was great Dr. Nina! I’ll have to watch it again and take notes. I’m currently single, by choice. I’ll be 40 in a couple months and relationships have been really hard on me. The last one nearly took me out child! But I decided to walk away because you just come to a point of realization, I deserve more and I want more. I don’t have to settle! If my life going forward means working on myself and fulfilling purpose, then so be it. I’m still going to celebrate others and clap when my sisters get engaged or married and have kids. I LOVE love! Oh and also, I’m a writer, so I’ll just write amazing love stories and poems for the rest of my life if that’s all I get to do! Thank you for taking the time to walk us through this process. It’s truly a jungle out here, and a lot of us are learning how real it is while IN these jacked up situations. But with Jesus we will make it. We should not do single or married life without the Savior! ❤🙏🏽

I LOVE this video! I'm single by choice and an INFJ, so being alone doesn't bother me. However, I'm 40, just finished my Doctorate as a Psych Nurse Practitioner & I'm open to meeting someone. I haven't been ready until now. I've never centered men 😂, but am open to someone like minded at this point. My focus this year is to do things I love & find fun: swimming lessons, travel, attend meet up groups with shared interests & even challenge myself creatively. Let's not forget that I must work on my health too. With that being said, I was looking this past Thursday for a coach/therapist to support me in my journey. You mentioned mentors, but I don't have anyone around me that could fit that role as of yet. Do you offer mentorship?

Wow, when you said the experiences you went thru was unnecessary....and how you knew what you wanted in a partner....you hit the nail on the head. Glad you are speaking on this topic. I knew what I wanted long ago but settled...went thru things that were unnecessary...when I shouldve stuck to my gut instincts and lived my life. Toxic person I thought I would marry held me back....since I've been in my single season, my career and finances took off, my relationships with my family and friends...with myself has transformed. I also like how you say to diversify your connections. Sometimes people are too stuck on I want married friends, I want single friends...and that makes blanket mindsets so strong...this video has so many gems I applaud you. I needed this video right now. I have associates who make me feel bad about being single when it's so much more complex....Thank you.

Thank You for making these points, a long time ago I began loving myself and that irritated other women around me. I've always put myself first because of puberty, being treated differently and then wanting something from me turned my stomach. I never really needed dating apps, I understand that my uni friends used sugar baby apps but they are all happy now. I'm not sacrificing my peace, my health, my body or my lifestyle for someone who doesn't care. I've so many associates who have fallen by the way side because of men, friends and boundaries. I'm good.

I love your knowledge, Single now, widow (1993), got married when I was 21. 2nd marrige, divorced. (2011). You are right about getting into yourself now. That is what I am doing now and feel good about.

I so enjoyed this video❤. I'm 53 married but happily separated some years ago. And although the journey to getting to where and who I'm meant to be seems a little difficult at times, I'm pressing on. I married really young without a sense of who I was or what I wanted. Heck, to be honest, I did it for fear of ending up alone. I didn't know Christ at that time because I wouldn't have succumbed to that fear mess and made such a serious decision like marrying based on my fear of being alone. But God has still Blessed my Life and I'm navigating these seasons with the Lord and trusting whatever His will is for the rest of my Life. May God continue to Bless You and your Beautiful Family.

I mean listening to other people will make me happy, but the man i married to did not. I now divorce and been single for awhile but I happy not really rushing to be in relationship. No i take that back i in a relationship with someone but it a long distance relationship, in a way it like i still single because i tell do anything i want. We talk about wanted to be together but to honest i either of us not ready. Beside i happy to be myself to think, Breather, watch what i want to watch on tv, cook the food i want and more. The other day i tell this tenant who i work in the same building i at. To mind her business in other work this is my body i not hurting no one or being disrespectful to body.
