Sorry Brent about your Sister, I do know how you feel. I lost my sister to breast cancer! I once thought that if a man wore Pink, he was a "fag" or "sissy", God knows just how wrong I was. Ur very blessed..your mom brought real music to your life& I brought the same to my only child.& I hope he will appreciate me as you do your mom..Sorry for your loss
If you love this song, never forget it’s writer, Jim Steinman. He was far ahead of his time. Few can create and produce such dramatic, powerful and moving music. As long as his music is listened to, he will be remembered, revered and studied by other musicians. He knew how to write a great song and transport you to another time and place in such a magical way. He was truly great.
@@SSNESSthat's exactly what my mom tells me I always ask her "mom if you were to go back in time what would you love to do and she said to go back to my time hunny them Hot 80's...baby 🔥!!""
We were so blessed to grow up with Tesla and all the great hair bands..I just close my eyes and listen..It takes me back to when life was simple and those hot summer nights and not a care in the world. Memories forever.
I saw these guys in concert in ‘89 or ‘90. I wish I could remember all the concerts from that time. This song brings back a lot of memories. At the time, you didn’t realize these were going to be the good ‘ol days. Man, I had so much potential and things really going for me. Now here I am, an old man, dreaming about what could have or should have been. Oh well, F it, it’s not like everyone makes it.
With my anger problem as a kid (I was horribly bullied until I got to be 6'1" 220 pounds) is I got through life without doing anything I regretted. So all of us have different successes. And few regrets.
I named my daughter Tesla Marie after this band. They represent so much in my life. This band and my daughter saved me after death of my first daughter. Thank you so much Tesla.
That day I was feeling the blues because I am Christian and I try to honor God by always asking him if she is the one or who will she be?or show her to me in a dream..I am 35 and I've been single for 5 years..when this song was playing I was in my car and just listening to the guitar intro was just jammin. I just heard it at the right moment.
+Noe Cazares And they say that us atheists declare our beliefs unwarranted. Well, even if I am wrong(I am not) at least I am not the one who has been single for five years.
Keep doing what you love to do and keep the faith...The right one will come along and most likely this person will have some of the same interest you have. That is why I said keep doing what you love to do...
lol If you are wrong, you have an eternity to pay for it. If I am right, I am still able to have fun here and forever more! Seriously, stop blindly following your faith in nothing...
this is a great song Don't let No One Discouraged your beliefs in the Lord. we know he is Real. I will say I have loved and loss it. Maybe you should ask God what his will is for you. every one wants Love and I hope you find it one day.

***** Oh, I've heard many, many good guitar solos. However, it all boils down to opinion as this is a subjective issue and not based on fact. Thanks for sharing your opinion. : )
I was at this concert too! I'm also going to be 50 this July 28, 2021. What a fun, amazing time. Thank you Tesla for such a beautiful memory. It was so wild in the front, my shoes got ripped off my feet when the crowd shifted. I walked out barefoot. Rock and Roll Forever. Steph M.
This song creates a feeling that very few can create. I'm not sure if it's nostalgia, melancholy, lovesickness, etc. but I always feel something unique when I listen to it.
It's hope ❤ it makes me feel the same way, I finally figured it out, HOPE! I have been lacking it for so long I forgot what it felt like and the last time I heard this song was 25-30 years ago so when I heard it again I had confusion as well, I've always loved this song but something hit a little different now rather than when I was a a Kid. I realized the difference was back then , I was looking forward to everything life had to offer me it was full of possibilities . I took it for granted because I had always had it !! I am not sure what or when i lost it but i did somehow! I've had a rough and painful past few years ! But, I didn't realize how much I this has affected me! Until recently hearing this song , it made me cry and smile and honestly it sparked something in my soul that I needed, that's for sure! I hope you have the same energy and strength that I have taken from it! 😇😌
One of the most timeless ICONIC songs to EVER come out of the greatest era of music ever. No one growing up today could ever imagine the fun WE had in the 80,s, the endless concerts, kegger parties, rural bonfires in the middle of nowhere . To go back to those incredible care free days I,d give 19 years out of the rest of my life.
Those were the greatest years. I won't ever forget the soundtrack of my youth, nor anything that came along with it. BEST. TIMES. EVER. 58 concerts and counting for me.
How touching man. Don't now if I would give up that any years. But what an age of growing up. The good times and music. Love. Etc etc. Makes me.emotional. I'm 60 and my oldest of my 6 brothers has terminal cancer. All things must pass. Feel like I wil be next as have intense chronic pain. After years of hard labor. Miss it so. Music helping me get through this. Or manage it anyway. Never be better. Good health to all!!! Music forever and ever

So I was born in 1988. My mother passed away in 2008 when I was 20 and she was 42. I was cleaning my spare room and moving some boxes and I found an entire full journal and a half that apparently she kept from December of 1988 until about August of 1989 every single day. Detailing absolutely everything about me. If I was good that day if I slept good how many hours I slept what I ate my first words my first steps my first time I pushed up on my own like literally detailed daily entries about everything in my life. Then she didn't write for almost a year until 1990 and then she picked up again at least a few times every month for about another year or so. And then she picked up a little bit in 92 and 93. A few times in 94 and then once in 96. But during the very important early months where I was developing a lot she wrote fucking everything. And one of the entries says Nicholas loves trains and dinosaurs and Disney world and Tesla Love train. So here I am listening to what the hell I loved at 2 years old haha
They really captured a spirit in the chorus of this song. Instantly legendary. I remember when it first hit, it was just undeniable. Song and Emotion is like that too.
We had a lot of great bands come out of California but Tesla came out of Sacramento California and I think they're one of the best rock bands and they're still going strong thank God for that
Saw these guys on my bucket list tour in Georgia a few years back, what a show, they havent lost anything, and can still rock the house. Your Welcome back to the ATL anytime boys.
This song saved my life 30 fuckin' years ago, and it continues to save my life in 2024. I've been beat the fuck down my whole life, had bipolar & ADHD my whole life. I've been constantly abused physically, mentally, & emotionally by my family my whole Goddamn life. I was sexually molested as a kid for 2 fuckin' years. Yet, I'm still here, dog. I've struggled with alcoholism since the age of 12, dog. If you're out there and thinking about making the jump off that cliff into suicide, I hope you take a step back and choose life. I'm 44 Goddamn years old, and I'm still here. I'm here because music helped me make the choice to choose life. I hope you choose the same! Peace & Love!
I was at Golden Corral when this song came on the other day... I've never cut into a baked potato and added so many toppings with such passion. My wife asked if that was all I was getting. I said nothing else matters 💯🤘🏽

I had the pleasure of seeing these guys with Poison and Joan Jett and Cheap Trick several years back. Good times.
Totally agree! Jeff was so awesome and so were other band members.
It was the best time of our lives and we didn't know it.
Literally every generation thinks their music is the best...
And best of all its just pure singing with no rap in it whatsoever.
Rapping has completely ruined our music from the past.
This song just peels back the years. 🥲
Just lost my sister to cancer and we played this at her funeral . This band has been apart of our lives for over 30 years and I love these guys thanks for the best music in the world.Peace and love will find you I know! ❤️
Awesome
Sorry to hear..love to you and your family.
Sorry Brent about your Sister, I do know how you feel. I lost my sister to breast cancer! I once thought that if a man wore Pink, he was a "fag" or "sissy", God knows just how wrong I was. I wear Pink with pride in knowing my sister is no longer in pain, in Heaven with God! Someday I'll see her again.
So sorry for your loss.
I'm very sorry for your loss. I lost my twin brother to cancer 9 yrs ago and it still hurts like hell.
55 years old and listening to this remembering simple times in life
I'm the same way sir! This still rocks! God bless!
I'm 55 too!
I will rock this till the day I leave this cruel world
I'm 54 and still rock out to this both of my sons like this band

Wow r.i.p.
So blessed to be a teen of the '80s! ❤️
Greatest decade ever
Thank God for youtube
No doubt girl....I feel the same way
we were so lucky
@@SSNESSthat's exactly what my mom tells me I always ask her "mom if you were to go back in time what would you love to do and she said to go back to my time hunny them Hot 80's...baby 🔥!!""
We were so blessed to grow up with Tesla and all the great hair bands..I just close my eyes and listen..It takes me back to when life was simple and those hot summer nights and not a care in the world. Memories forever.
I so miss the 80s music! This song is amazing! ❤
Music today all sounds the same
Wouldn't it be great to go there, to that time....be like heaven 💖
Hands down the best music era, imho!!
Yes!
That's some real shit l, dog. I'm right there with you. I've pissed away my youth. I have nothing to show for my life but mistakes and regrets.😢
Your story is my story. Really was a great time. So great that there was no where to go but down.
I named my daughter Tesla Marie after this band. They represent so much in my life. This band and my daughter saved me after death of my first daughter. Thank you so much Tesla.
♥️
That was awesome Angie Speck.
Beautiful name. beautiful song. i love Tesla. such a great band. don't make me cry.
Your last name in German means 'Bacon' 🥓
Talk
Just heard this an hour ago for the first time ever and it spoke to my life.
I'm 36 about too be 37 in 4 months and thanks to my dad growing up on music like this I miss music like this when i would get depressed from missing my ex wife I would listen too this song Tesla is my favorite band fr wish I could meet them again
Yea buddy ❤ one of my favorite bands on the face of this entire world
STILL get goosebumps! SO miss the concerts of the 80's! \m/
One of the best guitar solos I've ever heard.
+moresnare Yup, truly. Too bad they didnt include the intro. That's a nice little piece of guitar work, and is fun to play.
+moresnare Really? Obviously you have never heard a good guitar solo then
***** Oh, I've heard many, many good guitar solos. However, it all boils down to opinion as this is a subjective issue and not based on fact. Thanks for sharing your opinion. : )
***** Ha,hell yeah I have! Dimebag is farkin' awesome...
I remember the days when Pantera was a garage band trying to make it.... I love having been around for history waiting to be made.
Steph M.
Happy birthday!!! I know I’m a day late.
@@jondavis2206 Thank You!!!
I had this song in my head and here it is ❤
This song creates a feeling that very few can create. I'm not sure if it's nostalgia, melancholy, lovesickness, etc. but I always feel something unique when I listen to it.
Xdos
This is much more than a song.
Same
Brings me back to the 80’s every time ,,not many songs can do that 4 me
UNDER RATED BAND, ONE OF THE GREAT ROCK BALLADS OF ALL TIME.
I've seen them twice, they sound amazing!
For sure
Way underrated
I was expecting this comment any sooner, but even though it is a great song
Absolutely
One of the most timeless ICONIC songs to EVER come out of the greatest era of music ever. No one growing up today could ever imagine the fun WE had in the 80,s, the endless concerts, kegger parties, rural bonfires in the middle of nowhere . To go back to those incredible care free days I,d give 19 years out of the rest of my life.
Those were the greatest years. I won't ever forget the soundtrack of my youth, nor anything that came along with it. BEST. TIMES. EVER. 58 concerts and counting for me.
It was the best of times.
@@kurtgasper2896 I am 60 as well. The 80's and 90's had great music. It makes me also emotional. Sorry to hear about your brother. Hang in there! Bless you and your family
Absolutely Amazing. Guitar solo..2024
The 80's closed out great with power ballads like this.
this band is the most underrated band of the era. This song is timeless.
True this is timeless still rockin this on this October mornin nice as always 💫🤘 have a good one y'all be safe much❤️🇱🇷 was outside watering my plants and thought about this song 🎶 here we are 🔥🔥🔥 nothing better than this ✌️🍻
Not underrated in my books.
Obviously ✌️
The album this song was released on was released before the grunge scene kicked in so after Nirvana and SoundGarden came out people quickly got over this band
Why because the band got old. Ask your self does today's music show the same value as it is today
One the best songs out ...gets better every time I listen
Still the best song! 2024 is missing this music!
I was born in the late 70s and nothing compares to the 80s and 90s music!

Totally agree born in 77 grew up with 80s and 90s music. I'm very lucky to have such a great childhood/teenage soundtrack
I totaly agree!! I'm a 70's baby too. Somany beautiful love memories These guys are one if the best!

Tesla was so underrated
I saw these hippies live in Canada years ago at Kingswood Music Theatre. They put on a wicked show! Almost got a tear outta me when the singer said What you give was written for his dawg.❤
I'm 42 and I LOVE the 80's. Brings back so many memories. Music today is nothing like it was back in the day. What the HELL happened with the music and fashion? Wish I could go back in time and stay there, just saying 😊
The music industry. They have an agenda now. Something they readily admit.
I'm 40. I feel the same way.

One of the most underrated bands of the 80's, Jeff Keith's voice is ethereal.
My mom use to listen to this when I was a kid. Will always love this song! Takes me back to my childhood. ❤️
I hope my son will have the same memories!♥️

Katie Bain ain’t that the truth. have not been in a crowd like that since 87’ - no idea why ppl can’t write good music or make cool cars like the glory days of muscle cars & hair bands..ffs anyone not coming of age in the 80’s missed out. born in 69’ and saw all the best concerts from 82-91 in STL - MO ✌️❤️🤘
That the truth
@@rocklobzter Your absolutely right! God I miss them days 💖
Saw them with Def Leppard and Styx in 2015, still a great show!
80s will be forever in our hearts!
Never forget how much we love the 80s.
Saw them open for Def Leppard and REO Speedwagon a couple years ago. They deserve main event status in my opinion. Very underrated band.
Couldn't agree more... At the show I seen in Ohio, Reo was about 85% Live,. Leppard was about 70% Live, and Tesla was 95+% Live.... In my opinion, they were the top act in that show....I constantly tell that story to people... Can't wait to see them again... Keep rocking my friend...
As a graduat of class of 76 l have seen an loved so many great bands an without a doubt these guys really bring the spirit of Rock an roll home hope they r all happy an blessed

The day when words had meaning and people genuinely cared about others and life was simple...

Every day I do ! Helps deal with today problems.

Nights like tonight sitting here drinking a few listening to old music really makes you wish you were still a teenager riding around town on a weekend night with your girl and she pops this cassette in and you knew the night was gonna be great wow I miss the music the love and the feeling of the 80s would love to go back
I agree with everything you just wrote. My husband and I love the 80's music. We listen to it all the specially when we r working on our house.. We met in the late 80's and still together.
Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way I was a teen in the 80s was the best time ever just fun and love seemed so exciting and my crush wàs JK omg lol that feeling I get listening to Tesla or other 80s music .need to go back even for a day would be a blàst
Amen to that brutha. In your Trans-Am...With the underdash Pioneer Supertuner..
I know ! I miss those days.
Aaahhh the 80s sitting on the porch drinking a few cold ones listing to the past and remembering the good old days they dont make music like that anymore 80s till i die
Loved being a teenager in those days, will listen to the hair bands of the 80s till I die.
Arthur Norman nothing is better and none of the kids my age understand
Amen Brother
Me too I listen everyday
Absolutely best music ever made
Love Tesla
One of the best rock ballad of all time!🤟
It's a toss-up, but It's #2 for me next to the Scorpions - Still Loving you. Good stuff.
Love songs just aren't written like this anymore!! 😍😍
I agree. Where did the 'feelings' ho?
go?
So fucking true
Ain't that a shame, though.
Love isn't like it use to be. Wishing it was
They really captured a spirit in the chorus of this song. Instantly legendary. I remember when it first hit, it was just undeniable. Song and Emotion is like that too.
I'm 44 and still Rocking 80 s

We had a lot of great bands come out of California but Tesla came out of Sacramento California and I think they're one of the best rock bands and they're still going strong thank God for that
They definitely made 916 proud🤘🏽
oh they are? lol
Saw these guys on my bucket list tour in Georgia a few years back, what a show, they havent lost anything, and can still rock the house. Your Welcome back to the ATL anytime boys.
Sometimes I wish we could step back in time. It is music was wonderful. Today’s music is wonderful. I love listening.
God I hate missing 80's hair metal bands. Once of the greatest times of my life. Long live air guitars.
Yes long live 80s music 🤘
I'm 53 year's old and when I hear tesla I put the volume up so loud my kids freak out .if that only new me back in the day.lol
You fucking rock and I salute you brother! Stay strong 💪 🤘

This was my husband’s and my SONG…we met in 1989 and we were both coming out of bad relationships. This was the best era of music, hands down.
My parents lived this era and I can't help but seethe with jealousy. Everything about music was better in the 80s/early 90s. Luckily they passed their taste onto me.
This is such a good song. ❤
I took my 9 year old daughter to Tesla and Poison for her first concert, she deserves to know this amazing Era of music
