What I loved about this song is that's (a little bit) more straightfoward lyrically, even though it's metaphorical in some level. I always adore when Ghost is more direct about the themes on the song, sounds like an apotheosis. An other element I loved it's the absence of a choir (at least more evidently), 'cuz I think that's something that feels good when it comes to create mystery and a dark ambience, but because of this it should be used with care to not overuse to the point it cuts the effect. And of course, I also think the lack of a pronounced choir fits the vibe of a straightforward emotional song. Nice react/review!
I like it too, but personally I hope this album has more lyrically complex songs on it than Prequelle did. The description in the official store seems to imply it does… here’s hoping. I LOVE the sound of this though.

On early Ghost albums I always had the feeling that it was a catchy hard rock band, that was kinda hiding behind certain musical metal elements. But over time they stood by their catchy hard rock more and more and I think that's great! Not because I don't like Metal, but because I think that's exactly what Ghost is. They've peeled themself out of the shell. Now they really are Ghost, doing what they do best. I'm looking forward to the album.

When looking at the video my mind is fixed on the different faces changing, assuming on Mefisto, and could it be possible that this is actually the real faces of the nameless ghouls? I agree 100% right in the opening riff I felt Metallica vibes, for some reason it sounded as Welcome Home (Sanitarium) to me. Probably because of the slide from 0 to 4 in Welcome Home riff sounds similar to the riff in this song.
There's always, ALWAYS a story to tell, with a Ghost Vid - Tobias & Co. can always be counted on for layering their work. But this here..? is even MORE subtle as well as in your face! Best of all (for me, at least) was that 1930's vibe the video had - It was so VERY much like that BADLY underrated series "Carnival." You were literally walking w/The Devi and you didn't even know it! The question isn't "Are they getting better." it's "When will they EVER stop?!" Hopefully..? Never.
I completely agree with you. I love this song a lot. Reminds me of a lot of Black Sabbath’s first albums or just that classic Hard rock/metal. Very 80s and 90s Ozzy too. I am always down for a more “doomy” Ghost. Never disappoints. I heard Kaiserion, and I highly believe this album is going to have a very 80s sound. Maybe some Iron Maiden ish, Metallica, or at some point Slayer. I am so freaking excited!!!
This song is really about Alister Crowley. If you look at the album cover, then look at a picture of Alister Crowley, you will see they are a mirror images. Plus Alister liked to be called Little Sunshine.

My problem with the lyrics is that they're way too straightforward for Ghost IMO. Cerice had a twist, that the song actually wasn't about the devil but about the church. You also could know this by digging in the song and the fact that 'cerice' is the word for 'church' in old English. Secondly, there's simply no real hook it. Most Ghost songs do have a hook that lifts you up.

I like the sound of this song and we might get some choir in the other songs. If we would get choir in every song it becomes dull at least to me. To me this song meant more than what it may be taken literally but I know what you are saying. I'm hoping the rest of the album delivers more of the occult type of lyrics.

See with Ghost, it's almost always a double meaning behind everything and this song is no exception.
