My 18 yr old daughter took me to a Ghost concert recently. Not knowing what to expect and all I can say, they were brilliant! Their music took me out of my comfort zone. Ghost has gained another fan!!
Same here, my daughter wanted to go to the Brisbane, AU concert but none of her friends or family like this style of music so being a hard rock/metal fan I said I'd go. Can't get enough of this album. Now she's going to see Iron Maiden with me next year. Music unites!

My father called me "Sunshine" growing up. He passed last October. I heard this for the first time shortly after that. The line "Even when you're dead and gone, you can always reach me. All you have to do is call me, little Sunshine!" Gets me every time.

Ghost is addicting. Never ever have I loved a band so much. Saw them in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. I'm 54 and took my 14 year old daughter. She loves them so much she couldn't stop crying.

@@sumwunspeshal Tobias always wrote the vast majority of Ghost's music, and did most of the studio work, too. The only ghoul who did any serious songwriting was Martin Persner, aka Omega, who's now with Magna Carta Cartel. He testified on Tobias' side during that debacle of a lawsuit, and they're still pals, so I think it's fair to say that Ghost has always been Tobias' project. It's like in the 90's, when every NIN album said in the notes "Nine Inch Nails is Trent Reznor". We've known for a long time that offstage, Ghost is Tobias Forge.

One of the rare bands that is crossing generations. If we can get a second leg US tour, we can bring the youngin's to experience what we did in the 80's...their show is about as close as it gets these days. All the kids today totally missed out. Check out Dance Macabre, it's pretty irresistible.

I am in the fight of my life with cancer for the 2nd time in 6 years which my team of doctors said was impossible. IT COULD NEVER COME BACK. Yet here I am fighting not only the disease but all my mental, emotional, and spiritual things that come with it. It was only after listening to Hunter's Moon and this song a few times that I realized how great they are. I think this is another Tobias Forge's masterplan and i love it so far. *P.S. For me this song isn’t even about the devil. I heard it and immediately translated it as an anti-suicide song. I didn’t know who little sunshine was. I still don’t care. Whether Little Sunshine is the devil or someone on the ledge. Just to hear you will never walk alone is reassuring to me. Me best mate introduced me to Ghost. He's the toughest guy I ever knew. He's in his fifties and is a schizophrenic, gay and paraplegic Aussie with the biggest heart known to mankind. It doesn't matter if he's asleep, or balls deep in work, or fighting a psychotic episode, he never turns off his phone because he knows that his friends might need him. Dear G-d, I miss Sully dearly. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you can tell Tobias has taken vocal lessons during lockdown. Mix of head and chest voice is smoother and listen to that vibrato at the end of his phrases (especially @2:41). So good!
No he had a break from relentless touring , I seen him about 5 shows before the end of his last tour . It was a great show but I could tell his voice was tired . I have tickets for the bands 12th show so it should be great , right before they get burnt out lol . Volbeat is also a very good band can't wait !

Call me 'Little Sunshine' (A nickname for Aleister Crowley) Call me 'Mephistopheles' (A demon Faust sold his soul to in the legend) Promising to be a constant companion, Tobias refers to himself as 'Little Sunshine,' as the infamous British Occultist Crowley jokingly called himself. Then Tobias refers to himself as Mephistopheles, a demon who granted wishes in exchange for one's soul. Mephistopheles offers council, and was a complex, conflicted character who pleaded Faust not to sell his soul to him in the tale. The song describes its character as a companion, a demon, possibly a mage, and ultimately, the Devil. It's a haunting and catchy song, and the lyrics are classic tongue-in-cheek. Very on-brand for Ghost. I wouldn't expect anything less.

Thank freaking goodness we have Ghost, a modern band that understands how awesome artsy, creative videos like this are. I appreciate Ghost's dedication to the EXPERIENCE of their music as much as the excellent songcraft. So many acts today neglect the aesthetic, the experience and Ghost's dedication to it is what keeps me coming back.
I think people are missing the entire point of the band to begin with which was to allow Tobias to have a creative outlet that wasn't constrained to anything except the imagery of the band itself. Sadly, no one would've payed attention to them if they were dealing with the same subject matter from a positive Christian/Jewish light instead of Satanic and occult, so therefore...
@sercastamere9853 Well, the market is oversaturated with boring religious music from those camps, and there aren't many from the satanists' point of view. It's a much more interesting pov and a more fun dynamic to play with.
So pleased I discovered Ghost (although late to the party as that was last year!). Have had a great time listening through their back catalogue, and just when I thought they would probably never manage to top tracks like Cirice etc, along comes this absolute barnstorming gem of a song!! As a musician myself it makes listening to it even more impressive - great songwriting, great feel, great arrangement, great production, great groove and to top it all totally catchy and addictive whilst still being original, dark and heavy. Can't wait to hear more from Tobias and Co. It's unlikely the band or anyone connected to them will read this, however I'd still like to say a massive THANK YOU for gifting us mere mortals with fantastic new music, and performing the super human feat of equaling and even surpassing previous musical gems. Ghost, you keep raising the bar, long may it continue and you thoroughly deserve any and all praise and accolades bestowed on you 🙂😁👍👍😂
I am not an expert in music terminolgy, but for me it has the same effect as the Hunters Moon, this one. As well as the most of Ghosts' bangers. It memorable and catcy AF, but it will get to you after a while. After the first listen you might be like "eeh. New from Gost, cool" but give it a week and youl'l know what you will be humming all day. I don't know how Tobias does that. Of cource, there must be plenty of youtubers explaining used techniques in sophisticated music terms, but he might be sacrifising lambs for all we know :D

So far out of the three songs released so far, this one hooked me from the beginning. I didn’t really know how to feel about “Hunter’s Moon” and “Twenties” at first but they grew on me.
Twenties got me almost instantly, this one was honestly the one that's taken the most time but now I'm listening to it by itself so I guess it's good now.
Darkness at the Heart of My Love got me right away. Little Sunshine and Hunter's Moon are growing on me. Twenties is the weirdest song and one I am unsure of.

I've know this band for years and even though I hadn't really gotten into the lore & stuff until about 2-3 weeks ago, I can honestly say I'm a huge fan, partially obsessed, and can't bloody well wait to see them live one day. The album Infestissumam was my introduction to this band and it has been a comforting presence in the background for years. This. When I first heard this song I immediately thought this was a new song from an Iron Maiden-era band. Then google told me Forge is younger that me. That itself blew me away and my first thought was that there truly is hope for metal music in the future. And it's all from northern Europe.

Not gonna lie, the first time I listened to this I couldn't really get into it too much. I do love Ghost though so I thought I'd give them another try and and that has now became another listen and another. Now I love this song. I dunno how they do it but they just get better with each listen.

Ghost is addicting. Never ever have I loved a band so much. Saw them in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. I'm 54 and took my 14 year old daughter. She loves them so much she couldn't stop crying.
My wife and I were there too. I’m 40 and she’s 39. The only part that sucked was the rain.
The crying thing is an emotional release, it doesn't matter what it is, they're going to cry. Look up videos about giving kids puppies for xmas. It's not even them crying, it's their monkey brain. They aren't in control.

It's like in the 90's, when every NIN album said in the notes "Nine Inch Nails is Trent Reznor". We've known for a long time that offstage, Ghost is Tobias Forge.

6 months ago I watched my very first Ghost video. 3 concerts & countless hours of listening later I now have Ghost & I have everything.
Those subtle "pings" 👌 set into the song...the subtle background...and that wailing, yearning "CALL MEEEEEEE" when the ferry hits the dock and the way it drops off is pure emotional genius.
Proves music doesn't have to be complicated to be good. Simplicity is welcomed with talent.

It's interesting how the singles from the new album don't catch you from the first minutes as it was with the previous albums. It was only after listening to Hunter's Moon and this song a few times that I realized how great they are. I think this is another Tobias Forge's masterplan and i love it so far.

For me this song isn’t even about the devil. I heard it and immediately translated it as an anti-suicide song. I didn’t know who little sunshine was. I still don’t care. Whether Little Sunshine is the devil or someone on the ledge. Just to hear you will never walk alone is reassuring to me. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you can tell Tobias has taken vocal lessons during lockdown. Mix of head and chest voice is smoother and listen to that vibrato at the end of his phrases (especially @2:41). So good!
Maybe without the stress of touring, he was able to rest.

Promising to be a constant companion, Tobias refers to himself as 'Little Sunshine,' as the infamous British Occultist Crowley jokingly called himself. Then Tobias refers to himself as Mephistopheles, a demon who granted wishes in exchange for one's soul. Mephistopheles offers council, and was a complex, conflicted character who pleaded Faust not to sell his soul to him in the tale. The song describes its character as a companion, a demon, possibly a mage, and ultimately, the Devil. It's a haunting and catchy song, and the lyrics are classic tongue-in-cheek. Very on-brand for Ghost. I wouldn't expect anything less.

Thank freaking goodness we have Ghost, a modern band that understands how awesome artsy, creative videos like this are. I appreciate Ghost's dedication to the EXPERIENCE of their music as much as the excellent songcraft. So many acts today neglect the aesthetic, the experience and Ghost's dedication to it is what keeps me coming back.

I think people are missing the entire point of the band to begin with which was to allow Tobias to have a creative outlet that wasn't constrained to anything except the imagery of the band itself. Sadly, no one would've payed attention to them if they were dealing with the same subject matter from a positive Christian/Jewish light instead of Satanic and occult, so therefore...

So pleased I discovered Ghost (although late to the party as that was last year!). Have had a great time listening through their back catalogue, and just when I thought they would probably never manage to top tracks like Cirice etc, along comes this absolute barnstorming gem of a song!! As a musician myself it makes listening to it even more impressive - great songwriting, great feel, great arrangement, great production, great groove and to top it all totally catchy and addictive whilst still being original, dark and heavy. Can't wait to hear more from Tobias and Co. It's unlikely the band or anyone connected to them will read this, however I'd still like to say a massive THANK YOU for gifting us mere mortals with fantastic new music, and performing the super human feat of equaling and even surpassing previous musical gems. Ghost, you keep raising the bar, long may it continue and you thoroughly deserve any and all praise and accolades bestowed on you 🙂😁👍👍😂

I am not an expert in music terminolgy, but for me it has the same effect as the Hunters Moon, this one. As well as the most of Ghosts' bangers.
It memorable and catcy AF, but it will get to you after a while. After the first listen you might be like "eeh. New from Gost, cool" but give it a week and youl'l know what you will be humming all day.
I don't know how Tobias does that. Of cource, there must be plenty of youtubers explaining used techniques in sophisticated music terms, but he might be sacrifising lambs for all we know :D

Honestly I hate when people comment and say have you seen this in this year.
So far out of the three songs released so far, this one hooked me from the beginning. I didn’t really know how to feel about “Hunter’s Moon” and “Twenties” at first but they grew on me.
Same, I like this one the best. I like Hunter's Moon almost as much; Twenties is still growing on me.
Twenties got me almost instantly, this one was honestly the one that's taken the most time but now I'm listening to it by itself so I guess it's good now.
Darkness at the Heart of My Love got me right away. Little Sunshine and Hunter's Moon are growing on me. Twenties is the weirdest song and one I am unsure of.

First time I ever heard this song after giving the album a go recently..... *bawled my eyes out.* This was incredibly comforting, especially because I had been feeling so alone... I've know this band for years and even though I hadn't really gotten into the lore & stuff until about 2-3 weeks ago, I can honestly say I'm a huge fan, partially obsessed, and can't bloody well wait to see them live one day. The album Infestissumam was my introduction to this band and it has been a comforting presence in the background for years. This song will certainly be added to that deep love I now feel for this band and their music. Thank you for being here for us. 💀❤👻

This. When I first heard this song I immediately thought this was a new song from an Iron Maiden-era band. Then google told me Forge is younger that me. That itself blew me away and my first thought was that there truly is hope for metal music in the future. And it's all from northern Europe.

Not gonna lie, the first time I listened to this I couldn't really get into it too much. I do love Ghost though so I thought I'd give them another try and and that has now became another listen and another. Now I love this song. I dunno how they do it but they just get better with each listen.
