For those wondering what’s going on, David explains why he stopped his weather reports in an interview for a french magazine (Les cahiers du cinéma). He says he was just tired of them and now he is happy to wake up later ! So no worries, everything is fine

The song today is The World Spins by Angelo, David and Julee and sits at the head of the play list over in the usual place. I picked this song just yesterday, one spin of the world away.

Just had to hear a weather report from David Lynch today
Dear Mr. Lynch, I hope you're doing okay since we haven't heard from you for a few days. I know through the news that your friend, composer Angelo Badalamenti, just recently died and Julee Cruise, who you mentioned in this weather report, who collaborated with Badalamenti, died a few months ago. I'm sure that this impacted you in some way. I wish you and your family a happy holiday. And thank you very much for all your efforts to keep us in a positive mindset. I find this to be extremely generous and caring. A healthy, happy, and creative 2023 to you, your family, and your crew!
So heartwarming to see you still smiling and keeping on, Maestro. You're a ray of golden sunshine all along the way.

The World Spins is my absolute favorite song in the original Twin Peaks run. The way every character can feel what’s happened, the universal sadness, Cooper’s confused but knowing feeling of loss. It makes me cry nearly every time.
Hi David, we haven't been blessed with your weather reports for over 2 weeks. I pray you're well and taking some rest, still dreaming making art and being with your loved ones. Just taking this moment to feel how your presence makes a difference, how much consistently turning up goes along way. Your being and reports inspire me. Stay warm.

My dad passed away suddenly last week. He was a big on watching classic movies and cinema in general. I owe my love of cinema to him. We would always watch movies together and he showed me some classics that I would have never heard of otherwise and vice versa. He really enjoyed your work, especially Twin Peaks and The Straight Story. He also really loved the movie Lucky too, I think he watched that about ten times. It won’t be the same without him, but I know behind these dark clouds there’s golden sunshine and blue skies.

My daughter and I would listen to your weather report every morning on the way to her middle school. It was a calming and fun ritual with the added bonus of introducing her to the music of the 60s, and sometimes other decades. If it ever becomes a part of your routine again, it will become a part of ours. Thanks for all the reports thus far.
The World Spins is probably the most powerful track the dynamic trio of you did together. When I first heard it in Twin Peaks it gave me an indescribable feeling that no other music since has been able to replicate. Such a mysterious quality to it, the song feels beautifully ominous to me. But also at the same time it feels so loving, so empathetic, embracing the listener as we both share in a sense of longing. And just like every song you, Julee, and Angelo put together, it transcends the label of "music" into pure auditory emotion. Both Angelo Badalamenti and Julee Cruise were (and still are) magicians.

Excellent observations. The trio of Lynch, Cruise and Badalamenti were a perfect blend of talents.
it's a pretty sad song really, I always thought that as it enters the coda just after Cruise stops singing and a keyboard line echoes her last refrain of "the world spins", it's very lonely amongst the beauty. A very rural lonely, you feel like you're in an impossibly arcane old town with wide spaces and streets with remnants of the 60's lying around or the sense of thick pine forest by the road. It seems to tap the very heart of regional America at that point in the 80's too, just as much rarefied and elegant as it is homey and cosy

Should be going up to 25 degrees Celsius today, around 77 degrees Fahrenheit with blue skies and golden sunshine all along the way.

Jack Cruz is at the spa and the spa professionals are recommending that David put his feet up and rest, drink herbal tea with honey or lemon and have his family give him at home spa treatment, bring his tea and slippers and pillow. Ahhh yessss. They also recommend steam room, whirlpool and sauna with eucalyptus. 😀🐒🌺

This week felt like it was going to loop back on itself. Angelo left a hole in our world…
Not only did these videos get me, hell get US, through the pandemic. They continues to entertain since. Rest In Peace Angelo, thank you for your work. I hope you're doing alright Mr Lynch. I'm glad to have been able to watch along with the few thousand others each day, certainly made me feel like a part of something special. It's a Friday once again and I have been blue, but there's always the possibility of that blue filling the skies along with golden sunshine, all along the way. Everyone.....you know what to do.
p.s. Happy belated Birthday Mr Lynch! If I were only born a few hours sooner, we'd share the date.

I've been feeling like everything is spinning lately.😭 A bad reaction to some medication left me fairly nauseated yesterday morning. I've been enjoying fine cuisine like plain toast and mashed potatoes, haha, and am on the mend! Hope you have a Golden Friday David and Friends!!🎶🎋♥️

Funny, I had a similar spinning sensation last night, i hadn't put that together with today's song until now. (For context, I have irritable bowel syndrome [IBS] and some of the food I had last night didn't sit well with my stomach, so I took some sleep aid, hoping it would overpower the pain that would keep me up through the night, but I never fell asleep. I did however, fall down on my way to the bathroom, feeling quite drowsy from the medicine while my body refused to let me sleep. I just had to sort out the pain in my stomach. Still don't feel better today, but given time, I will.)

was the first song came into my mind when I noticed of Angelo. My 17 years old cat died the 7th of june, a couple of days before Julie. She was so calm listening the music of Angelo and Julie, it help her to die in peace. Love to all. Excuse me im so sensitive this days
