  • I thought this was going to be a simple task and was only going to take a few days to complete, after a month of working on the headliner it is finally done and is one piece and light as well.

Myself along with the rest of the people who have been patient during this build appreciate your attention to detail along with the fact that we respect that these builds take time and are not going to happen overnight. Part supply issues have been a contributor to this and I've encountered those myself but I would just like to say thank you for your content Dave and I cannot wait to see this done. 😇

I think your problems relate to the application of the mould release and the application of the gelcoat. Try spraying the mould release on instead of brushing it on and then spray the gelcoat on. That way, they are even and you won't be disturbing the mould release when you apply the gelcoat. I used to work in a fibreglass swimming pool factory decades ago, so I saw the entire process of making the plug and the mould and the actual product in the end. They also used fibreglass spray guns which apply the fibres and the resin in one go, just needing rolling.

You can add fiber glass resin without the hardener to your bondo to thin it out into icing puddy. A lil bit goes a long way. When I mix it. It’s about 2 %. Or about the same amount of the bondo harder amount. You are using in your mix

I understand. I usually don’t comment, but I’ve followed you for a while now. I’m an old guy from the early 60’s and 70’s who was into the 68, 69 roadrunner scene. Had 4 of them. Good times! Drove junk for almost 30 years while raising 4 kids. Bought my first 2016 Charger RT in 16, then 18 Scat, now in a 21 Scat widebody. It’s really great that a talented young person as yourself is carrying on the car guy tradition! Thank You!

@Junkyard_Dave In their most recent video with the Demon at the end, they discussing troubleshooting "tricking the automatic body to think it's a manual" in order to get the car to start for the first time, after having the ecu flashed to accomadate the manual swap. The responses they've gotten were along the lines of "it's not possible or it could be possible", your quality of work, knowledge & custom ability I think you'd be the perfect subject matter expert to find the solution.
