Another tip before purchasing a jeep is to sign up for the Chrysler "Tread Lightly" program. It qualifies you for 1% off of your purchase. A one time fee of $100. For a fully loaded wrangler rubicon (70,000) that's a nice chunk off.

Great video! Quick tip: try using 89 octane instead of 87. 87 burns too quickly and you'll constantly be at the pump. I get great mileage going between 3 states on a regular basis!
Also, tell the dealership about your Wrangler being a bit sluggish. They can probably check to see if something is off. I say that because I have a 2020 Wrangler and have gotten her up to speeds enough to pass most luxury vehicles with ease!

Great format, but my questions are How much was your credit score, how much was your car loan pre-approval, how much was the monthly payment ? The more specific the numbers the better, because it gives us insight on deal comparisons and what we can prepare for . Thanks again Cousin!

So glad I own mine . Yeah it’s a 2005 JL with hella fees attached to the DMV but I got a research study coming up so I’ll be able to pay that off and register my truck and still have money left over for a new paint job and upgrades but the good thing about owning is that you have zero payments and that feels better then anything 😩❤️

Girl yes! Live that ballin’ adult life! I was 25 years old and working as a RN when I got a 2015 Toyota 4Runner Limited. One thing I’ve learned over the years is I love to work contracts and being on the road, I prefer more “truck” style SUVs, and I want ALL the creature comforts. While it’ll be a while before I can even consider a Jeep, a Sahara seems like the trim for me. 👏🏻❤️☺️

My parents bought a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara in Firecracker red with a black hardtop and I love the design of it. I drove it once when I had to pick up my father at the hospital in the rain.

Love all the information you gave about the jeep. I love the Sahara as well, I recently went to a dealership and they showed me a sport S that had a lift, one touch, also 8.4 display. Im conflicted between both lol because the Sahara is really nice and so is the Sport S. The Sahara I saw didn’t have what the sport S had. Any advice?

Queen Jess, that's what I'm talking about. You are beautiful young and intelligent. Thanks for that beautiful delivery of your JL Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I just did a few mods on my 2018 JL....I'm going to be different in my approach to mods....So far I have added dual magnaflow exhaust system, star cover for my spare tire and 33" tires using the stock wheels that are classic to me with the jeep logo and without the lift. I've also added a camera for the front and scheduled to add some Pillar KC Lights on my hood. I will take pictures and would like to know how you do such awesome professional videos. I can def agree a lot with this video. My previous jeep was a sport I didn't know much about trims but that I wanted it white and with a touch screen. If I would have known what I know now I would have got a Sahara for the automatic start or found a sport with it. I got a aftermarket and had 2 fobs and it sucked so bad. Luckily I have great credit so like you no down payment but still in the end $500s for my payment. Fast forward I get a deal that they want to buy it back and I had equity in it so I traded it for my 2021 Willys. I love it so much and made sure it had the led lights on it and automatic start. No downpayment needed because of my credit again and my trade in. When sitting down we were going over financing again but my payments were going to be only $20 cheaper since it was more than my previous and the guy who was so mindful was like why don't you just lease. My husband and I never did leasing and doing it that way brought my payments under $500. He said drive it and you have the option to buy it out or finance it out at the end of your term. I went that route this time with uncertainty if I would want to keep it or get an electric one. Now would I lease again I dont know but doubt it, the paper work is confusing from finance paper work lol not crazy confusing but still. Leasing is great if you switch often and sorta glad I did with this economy and uncertainty of wanting a newer one. Im 95% sure though I will keep this one only if the body does not change in 3 years. As I told you before I am tired of a payment and I barely even drive my jeep, I have had it since November and bare reached 2k miles 2 days ago 😩 Customers looking need to keep in mind if they lease you have to have extremely GOOD credit. I use to knock it but most famous people and a lot of these RUclipsrs don’t buy because they switch often but knowledge is power, finance and lease both have pros and cons. Leasing def makes sense for Jeeps I read and higher end cars because those high ends cars loose a lot of depreciation once pulled off the lot and I hear to not dare keep one of those after 3 years because of maintenance lol

@@imJess_sayn yeah makes sense because the more the vehicle the more you’ll be upside down unless you owe less than what your car depreciated or is worth in Kelly blue book which could take from 4-5 years. If you owe more than what it is worth that portion is tacked on to whatever new car you get thats the down part of financing and the pro of leasing because at the end of your term you can either upgrade to new or kee p it. Trust me I’m still learning it all sis. This was my exception and trial of a lease so I can give people that advice. Buy Cheap, Lease expensive or if your unsure if you are keeping

This is so good. I’m finally pulling the trigger on my first Wrangler purchase after years of researching and considerations. I feel like the biggest thing to know is there are options on entry-point based on your budget and desires. Although those 2 things may not align initially, some level-setting and planning go a long way on getting them in sync to finally take the leap. I definitely landed more on the lower price point knowing I wanted to get heavy into the experience of doing my own mods, but initially I had no idea what mods were and that I’d become obsessed with them down the line so I’m glad I’ve had time to simmer on my first purchase lol.

I use 87 which is standard for a Sahara! With gas prices now I normally fill up from empty at about $40 or a little more again depending on price per gallon! Thank you and thanks for watching!!

Nice Jeep, luv that color, I have the 19 (4 door) blk Rubicon, 35s, Mopar lift, dual exhaust, cold air intake, remaining: steel bumper & Warn winch, for the life of me I never understood why the steel bumper doesn't come standard on the Rubicon at least. Initially, I was crazy about the color white, but I didn't want to wait so I just grabbed Black, but had this color been available I think I would've waited, great choice, & be safe! Jeeeeeeep Life. Oh, what was your previous vehicle prior to your Jeep, and do you have any regrets?

So crazy.. I found this video by accident. Thinking about upgrading my Jeep Compass with a wrangler and this pops up. I was super unsure until I heard you say you’re an acquisition and procurement analyst. I too am one in DC! 😃 how ironic! My only other concern is having a wrangler with a toddler. How’s it with your Jeep and having a kid. My son is 2 and still rear facing in a convertible seat bc he’s so tiny. How’s the space for you?
WILD!!! Like we probably brushed shoulders a time or two 😆🤣! But I’m glad you stumbled upon the video! I got my first wrangler when my daughter was a newborn and the space in my older model was efficient ( small but adaptable ) and now that the newer models are even more spacious I think little man will be fine! Jia is six now and she has more than enough space in the back, she designs and redesigns her wrangler every 6 hours, yes hours! I say that to say, as you already know, kids are resilient, they adapt! As long as you’re comfortable with it for him, he will be fine!

At the time you got your Jeep. How much was you Preapproved for? & how much was you making at that time. I’m not trying to get too personal lol but I’m currently going through the process of it.

Great Video. We just bought my wife her Dream car since childhood. 2021 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited. That thing is loaded! Her credit is great. We put a down payment anyway because we are planning to pay it off very soon. We got it at a great price 57k to drive off the lot, well 58k because of shipping.

A jeep should fit your lifestyle. For me, all the bells and whistles weren't what I needed. The radio in my used Jeep didn't work but I was fine with that because I was gonna change it out anyway. $800 for new radio, amp, and subwoofer, and I'm good. I lifted my jeep with 35inch tires that came to $4000. Not a bad deal.
The biggest thing Jeep owners need to consider and especially ladies and short men is the choice between the hard or soft top. I prefer a hard top because it looks better and cuts down on wind noise when that soft-top starts to wear. But, to me a Jeep is all about that Jeep life and I mean stripping it down to everything. I'm a 6'5'' 295lbs former bodybuilder so I can take my hardtop off with ease by myself. If you need help that's cool but I find many ladies don't take their off because it is too heavy. Also they don't take it off,,and this is another thing to consider. They don't have space for it. If you live in an apartment or a residence without a garage or something like that. You likely wont have anywhere to store it so again, a soft top might be the route you want to go. Same thing for shorter guys. That top ain't light. There are options like building a harness or this hard top jack thing I saw online. Cost a grand I believe but works well.
I saw this because I ran into several folks who bought a jeep and now are faced with these problems so yeah get the jeep that fits your lifestyle from top to bottom.
When you say good credit what would be an example of a credit score you are talking about ?? 750+ or in the 800??
What about a down payment ?? 10,000 a good amount or more needed 😭?
Mine was a 730 when I got my wrangler with no down payment! And yeaaaa I would say if you don’t have the best of credit then a good amount possibly $2500 or even more would get you an okay payment amount unless you have co-signer !

how hard is it to drive a jeep on the highway? I know it sways but is it a lot where it is stressful to drive one on the highway?
Not really! It just gets a little crazy when you have a lift and are beside a 18 wheeler and the pull from that wind current similar to a motorcycle beside a 18 wheeler feels, just mash the gas or roll on the throttle and get up from beside it 🤣🤣 but other then that no nothing too stressful!

Y’all! Don’t f@&k around and end up upside down on a $60,000 vehicle. ALWAYS put down a down payment. If you can’t afford 20% cash down, you can’t afford the car. But I’m not tryn’a pay more than $400 a month, soooo 🤷🏽♀️. That’s just my opinion and experience.

@@ramonamorris A lot. 60,000 purchase price is over 1,000 per month. You'd have to pay it down up front to 18,000 owed on loan to hit 300.00 per month for 60 months which is the average loan term. You might be able to get a longer term depending on the dealership, so then you'd be able to pay less up front. 72 months will most likely be the max.
