      suspensions is literally the worst part of this bike, an engineering fail wich has a cheap fix ,
      there's a video about it on youtube as well, and u can get really cheap unused stock suspensions for this bike en masse, because all the people replace them and sell the stock on cheap lol.. not knowing how u can easily fix the issue, some racing mechanic at some event showed people how to fix it...
      im sure if u search on youtube, you would find the video....

    MT07 Is the best bike one can buy nowadays. I had lots of bikes and MT10 including... 07 is just amazing. It feels a lot like 10 in many ways but it's more agile below 100kmph and consumes much less gas and what is mainly missing comparing to MT10 is that top end power(which anyways should be avoided on street riding, as with many 1000cc bikes). What I want to say is that i sold mt10 mostly because of big fuel consumption (i ride lots per year) and i couldn't believe how much I fell in love with 07. Honestly, i thought it might be underwhelming for the guy who got used to 1000cc, but 07 proved a great point. Great torque, no electronics, great character from engine, 87% of power on 3k rpm, amazing handling, amazing fuel consumption, great comfortable sitting position, and it's also great for two up riding. 09 came to my mind but i don't like that fully upright sitting position, strange handling at slower speeds, lack of front end feel that 07 and 10 have, and I'd need to lower the passenger foot pegs to modify it. 07 is just amazing and perfect for most riders and most use cases... I highly recommend it to everyone.

I believe i found the only bike I need now and in the future. Hearing you talk about it and about bikes in general, really reminds me how I feel about riding. 07 is the one! 👍

    I did the same thing. Went from MT-09 to Mt-07 because it's way more fun to ride a slower bike fast than literally just smoke yourself on the Mt-09 when you finally get balls to go full throttle. The acceleration on the MT-09 is brutal for the uninitiated! A great bike but I'm less likely to kill myself on the 07 if I want to run through the gears. I think it's more fun honestly. Stay safe out there!

  • @garyrayner6330
    @garyrayner6330 2 года назад +7

    I went from a mt10 to a mt07 and now have the new mt09. After the Akra, dna stage 2 filter and tune the new mt09 is a absolute dream, so much better handling than the older gen and very punchy. That said I miss my mt10 for the top end and soundtrack and I miss my 7 for non stop wheelies (easiest bike to wheelie ever) and city cruising. They’re all sooo good, I love them all.

    • @CycleCruza
      @CycleCruza  2 года назад +1

      I had an akra and tune on my MT-09, made it much better but I just did not gel with that bike at all. I hear the new mt-09 is better but still has that shitty on/off ride by wire throttle. Its too bad because that triple cylinder engine is great. Honestly, I don't feel much difference from 0-60 between the mt-07 and mt-09, both pull hard off the line. I like the mt-07 better tho compared to my former 2020 mt-09.

    • @garyrayner6330
      @garyrayner6330 2 года назад

    • @lopezdad30
      @lopezdad30 2 года назад

      MT10 is Hella easy to wheelie.... will wheelie itself in first three gears with power alone. The factory quickshifter is magnificent bonus as is allows to wheelie thru all the gears without having to put the front wheel down ever.

    • @garyrayner6330
      @garyrayner6330 2 года назад

      @@lopezdad30 yes it does it easy as, so does the 9 actually, I can third gear power wheelie and go through all the gears, before the tune it would only do it second gear. Mt07 is sooo good on the back wheel though, it’s one of the easiest road bikes to learn clutch ups and even first gear wheelies at low speed are so easy to control.

      Yeah the smaller mid-range bikes are more practical and fun for urban city riding. Awesome bike! Glad you’re digging it! It reminds me of something I’ve heard other bikers say about your cc progression. You start at 250/300, go to 600, then 1000. Then you realize all that power is pointless, so you go down to a 650.
    At any rate, enjoy the ride, you don’t need to do too much to it. I’d go for frame sliders, swingarm spools and see what kind of options I had for mounting a phone. Other than that, it looks good to go!

    Awesome!!! I have a 2022 Mt07, bought new in May. I'm traveling the US west riding the bike all over. 8000 miles so far in less than 5 months. The bike is solid! The downside ( all minor). The seat gets uncomfortable after about 3 hours of riding, and gets blown around on the highway a little, but that's more because it's so light.
    Great bike. Even does alright off-road!

    I have one that’s now done 5000km. After 700km, the suspension just bedded in really well. I’ve changed out the 10 wt fork oil for 15 to help with the lack of rebound damping. I’m thinking to give 20wt fork oil a go to see if it’s an improvement without being to slow on the rebound. The rear shock rebound bumping adjuster screw has been wound all the way in and one revolution out. Works pretty good for me at about 90kg.

    The on off throttle response is an adjustment to the tension of the throttle cable. Usually ad a little tension to the pull side and balance the return if necessary. That adjustment made all the difference.

I was debating on getting getting the MT09 but insurance was a lot more so the Mt07 is an excellent choice. Also less likely to get arrested for speeding. Make sure to sync up the throttle bodies on the new bike. My throttle was a bit twitchy (on or off) but they adjusted it at the first service and its perfect now!

I loved the triple cylinder engine though. However, I'm loving this cp2 engine on the mt-07, 1-3 gears are fun around town, hooligan bike! when I flash tune the bike when I get my full exhaust it will make it even better.. Best of luck!

    CRUZAA! You gotta do the R6 throttle mod on the MT07. Completely transforms the bike reducing the throttle rotation from 90 degrees to 45 degrees.
    For the exhaust, consider Black Widow. Around $450, quality parts, and sounds mean.
    As for the seat, you could order a tall mt07 seat from Europe that increases the seat height by 2 inches

      @@CycleCruza R6 throttle is a 30 dollhair mod and took me 15 minutes to install. It feels like the throttle that should have come from the factory, it makes downshifts and power wheelies much easier. Absolutely worth it Cruza.

    • @yourwifesboyfriend6081
      @yourwifesboyfriend6081 2 года назад +1

      @@5150GSD The radius of the portion of the R6’s throttle tube that the throttle cables wrap around is roughly double that of the MT-07 OEM throttle tube. This translates to getting more power without twisting your wrist as far (45 degrees to wide-open-throttle, compared to 90). Makes downshifts a breeze and less of a chore to have to modify hand position to access all of the 07’s power.

    It aint no fun to ride a fast bike slow...hit the nail on the head, you are absolutely right! I had a Busa and a couple big Bandits for many years (loved 'em) but got rid of them over the last several years and got a cb500x in '19. It's perfect for commuting, fun to ride, no electronic rider aids needed and 70 mpg! Then I added a 2022 mt09sp to compliment the cb and love the thing but really the mt07 would have been just as good of a choice. Some bikes just strike the almost perfect balance of weight/power/handling/fun and the mt07 is on that list.

    Soft suspension bottoms out more easily on potholes and can play pogo stick in corners when the bike is leant over, so in general it's less safe. This bike has been fine on these bad roads so far but I'm only 170 lbs. I did have a custom set up suspension on my former WR250R. custom for me from a suspension shop it was nice and much better than stock WR250R suspension, that was really a pogo suspension. This suspension on this 22 MT-07 is adequate for me and has not been like a pogo, seemed worst on that 2020 MT-09 but that is a heavier bike and proportions are different.

    • @williambrodmanvi5944
      @williambrodmanvi5944 2 года назад

      I agree a softer suspension may be more comfortable especially if your not bottoming it out! That said it is undoubtabley a trade off against saftey one each needs to weigh for themselves, but a soft or unresponsive suspension comes at the cost of reaction time of a proper set up. I understand the desire for comfort on mostly cruddy roads but I'd rather have a prime suspension and ride the cruddy road really well, but thats just me... It's a viable compramise untill the day that maybe it wasn't. We are all out there dodging the cagers the best we can! So i say, set yourself up the best that you can and ride what you come up with to the best of your abilities and may we all see as many miles as we can see to put down! Ride on...

    There's a reason a lot of MT09 people go back to the 07. I mean, I had an 07, bought a Tracer 900GT, then a Tenere 700 and in most daily circumstances (even ignoring offroad) the Tenere is more fun to ride.
    The 09 is significantly faster, particularly after 100mph, but the reality is, how much time do you spend at those speeds? If you do a lot of highway riding, sure, the 09 feels better, but below that? The 07 is lighter, nimbler, has comparable low end power but *feels* so much more raucous particularly around 3000-5000rpm here. It feels *joyous*. Meanwhile, at the lower/midrange, the MT09 just feels... Disappointed that your not pushing harder. But if you do go WoT you're at felony speeds so fast it's just not practical.
