@@jackreacher2095 I paid with exhaust an tuning around 8k Dont have to but if you got the cash the exhaust and tune is absolutly worth it. Bottom punsh is dope
Each time I watch your videos, I like my MT-O7 even better. I am 69 years old and just bought one. No comparison with my 1985 Yamaha 650 XS. Greetings from Switzerland.
I own a 2023 MT-07 and it really is a amazing bike. The only thing I would change after the exhaust upgrade is a slightly beefier suspension. I say this because I weigh 230lb and that is probably heavier than most.
lift up front fork by 8mm in the triple clamp. shorten front spring spacer by 10mm Use thicker front fork oil Cheaper route The expensive route is replacing the front forks with a better quality adjustable preferred
i have a öhlins rear shock, but the front needs to be upgraded. I know that cheap upgrade, but do u know if it's worth to swap cartridges to a for example öhlins ~500 or cheap ones ~300$?@@godzeus9702
My old MT07 was the most fun bike I had. After a spell on the Firebalde, GSXR, Speed Triples, S1000R and MT10s I was toying with going back down to an MT07 as such a fun bike. However I ended up on a ‘21 Street Triple 765 RS which I now believe is the perfect power for the street, only downside is it doesn’t have that Harley ish sound but so fun. All for sub 1000cc bikes now for the street
I got my MT07 more or less the same time as you did (Aug 22) and love it. It's been great watching you do the same mods I did (tune, exhaust and all). It is indeed a great little bike for the price you pay and on top of it all very reliable!
Another thing that I find people don't really mention is the fuel range. 350 to sometimes over 400km on a 14 litre tank!!! (I live in Australia so you guys will have to do the conversion to miles and gallons I guess). Anyway, my wife and I celebrated being married 20 years last year by buying each other an mt07 and have put almost 20 000kms on then in under a year. We use them for everything from long trips to daily commuting. Best thing we've done for ourselves in years I can't help but smile every time I get on the thing. Sounds awesome, perfect power and comfortable riding position plus probably most importantly, so much bang for your buck. Love your vids mate. Your content helped me decide when I was breaking down what it is we were gonna get.
I’m 46, never driven a motorcycle before and I’m looking for a my first bike. Just looking to commute to work and ride on the weekends. Man! you make me wanna but an MT07 with this video lol
I agree when you bought your MT07 in "22" they were hard to find in the dealerships. Yesterday checking the two dealers within 15 mi. of my house netted 11 new 23/24 MT07's in stock so it appears that availability is no longer a problem with this model. As the owner of a new (23) GSX 8S I personally found the way Yamaha spec'd the MT07 a bit too budget but all these 270° P-twin's provide a similar fun factor biased platform and preference variables will determine which is best for you.
Yeah the GSX-8S is an great bike! I got one after missing my MT-07 and it filled the void and more. Now i just need some warmer weather so i can get out and ride. lol
I sat on a GSX8S, GSX8R, 2 CFMoto 450s, a 636 and I think a couple others today, and i chose the MT-07 purely for the riding position. You hit the nail on the head on the rider triangle being beautiful 👌🏼
Yeah? I'm about to get my first bike and I'll admit I'm leaving towards the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401. It's small cc but not too small, it does light off road which I want, it looks so badass and it's cheap. Well sht I think I just talked my self back into buying it. Lolz. But I love Yamaha. I feel loyalty to them.
Me to I'm convinced already to get one I just want to wait for the newer year bike. Every year bikes usually get upgraded and I would rather wait to see what the next year upgrade is than buy one and regret not waiting for the better next one.
I have a 2022 R7, got it with 2miles back in March 2022, I now have 61k miles on it, it's such a fun bike, I get a lot of hate from bigger CC riders but oh well I'm happy with it, taught my gf how to ride on it too and she loves it. Definitely would recommend the R7/MT07, I have the M4 full exhaust and sounds great. I also want to get a H2 or S1K next, gonna keep the R7.
Those big cc bike guys are compensating. I’ve had 2 r6s and they can’t lean there bikes at all. On a straight line yeah they pass me but in the turns I’m right back on there ass looking to pass em
I have an R7 and I absolutely love it. I also see others on larger bikes talking ish about it but it's fine. I always tell people I don't want anything faster as I have no need. I've owned an CBR600rr and had some time with a GXSR750 and feeling like I was breaking the law on most rides got old fast lol. Going fast in a straight line is only fun for so long and I'm not trying to Street Rossi out here and end up in a ditch.
I mostly agree! I still love my old 2014 MT07, I got it for super cheap second-hand. Also, from what reviewers have said the competition has its downfalls, so the Honda CB750 Hornet is not very torquey at the bottom and the power comes on higher up in the revs even though its twin. Then the Suzuki GSX-8S has an engine which is basically like a bigger CP2 BUT its a MUCH heavier bike and pricier last time I checked. The Triumph Trident 660 is not bad but also is not super torquey in the low RPM and you have to spin up its triple for a good time and also doesn't sound as beefy as the twins in this category. Forget the KTMs as their pricing knocks them out of consideration, also they are known to be unreliable (sorry KTM fans). My main choice will always be the Yamaha due to it's mixture of low weight and low down torque. My next bike will probably be the MT09 as I'm hitting 100+ MPH during my commutes and sometimes at those speeds I want a little extra power.
I love my MT09 and when most of my commutes were city/backroads it was perfection. Once my destination switched to a whole lot of freeway, I found that while the 100+mph hour long commutes were no problem for the bike, they got to be annoying for me. Definitely could use a fairing if you’re going to be making those sort of rides 5+ days a week. The super upright seating of the MT09 I’m particular does a number on your neck as you fight to keep your head foreward and the noise even with ear plugs can be a bit much at those speeds. It’s certainly doable, but it’s not ideal.
G’day I’m just a learner picked up a brand new 2023 3 days ago. I’ve only ridden 100km in 2 days (third day was wet and I need to get used to the road before I get used to a wet road) I did ride dirt bikes when I was younger for awhile that was 15 years ago I’m 34 now as a learner I’d say just always be mindful of the throttle especially when your learning…. Having said that if your completely new to bikes And the road I’d say don’t get one…. You’ve got enough things to be worried about you don’t need to be worried about wether or not your going to blip the throttle and flip the bike or have it slide out from underneath you. But man I agree with you about the sound I put a vandemon exhaust on and even with the silencer in it is loud. So far I’m absolutely loving this bike and couldn’t recommend it enough to someone that has a bit of experience with bikes and a good head between there shoulders. Loved the video 👍👍
That's what I loved about my modded 2000 Buell M2 Cyclone....1200cc simple air cooled, carbureted design. Bigger cams, performance exhaust, forcewinder air filter....100hp 90-ish ft lbs of torque...Not the fastest top speed. The fastest I had it going was 140 & that was enough for me....But 0 to 60 in around 2.9 to 3.1 seconds...Also comfortable upright riding position and lightweight, good handling....It sitting around broke under a tarp, wish I the money & workshop to fix it up.
I was so close to getting one, but i decided to get the xsr900. Now, i am in ❤️. All i am doing is customizing it. I hated the exhaust system, and then i got kelpi exhaust. It's loud like an airplane ✈️. I dont have many videos as i put it away for the winter.
I have a T7 and love the CP2 it is an amazing engine. I wouldn’t mind having one only because I know that engine it is amazing plus cheap to insure and all the power you need
I have the same MT color and all. And it was my first bike I purchased. Just got back from deployment and got me a streetfighter V4. Bes Naked Street bikes on the market. Yamaha and Ducati
I don't mind seeing the mt07 on your channel it's a nice bike. I like it, plus you've got your perfect and you don't have to spend any more money. I was wondering why you were looking for another bike 😅
One word - FUN. I sold my 2008 R1 and purchased a brand new 2017 FZ-07 seven years ago. I don't have to worry anymore about dropping my R1 and my back, my neck, my big ass, and my joints thank me after every ride.
I've always ridden Yamaha enduros but if I ever get a street bike, this seems like a good candidate. Yamaha has built some tempting mid-sized twin cyl. cruisers.
Would like to own one, but that Ducati 698 mono has caught my eye. 9,000 mile oil changes 17,000 mile valve adjustment. Although Yamaha builds robust bikes they are very durable and fun. So hard choice for now.
I've had mine since 2016, has almost 30k miles now. I was looking to sell it to buy a FTR1200 or something else with more power, but then I just got on it and rode it, and when I got back I was like "why do I want more bike?" its already dangerously fast for the average person lol. Instead of spending a ton of money on a new bike, I just ordered the Hordpower intake and Tune to fix the slight drop in top end power, EBC pads for front and rear for a little more initial bite, KTech Razorlite rear shock (I have never changed the OEM shock lol) and some other goodies to address all of the little annoyances of this otherwise incredible bike. can't wait to have it all done.
I ride a 9 and I adore it. I also have a 7 which I haven't been on since I got the 9. The 7 has spent the last year or so sat unused in the garage but reading all the comments I think it's time it was put to use again. It's a criminal shame for it to sit any longer I reckon
The MT07 is my dream bike Iam 35 and I love the old school feel no rider ads traction control wheelie control this whole six-axis IMU I have been on my friends bikes and the bike feels like it's Riding you not you riding it. Can't wait to get the MT07 just needs better suspension
Rode my sons MT 07 and it gave me the MC bug. Went out and bought a GSX 8S as I liked the design, one was *in stock* 😉, and it has the same draw as the 07 power and torque delivery-wise. I wanted to buy a brand new bike. Had a MT07 been in stock anywhere, I very well might have bought it instead.
I have a mt09 2023, but i think that the less power you have, the more fun the bike is. The only issue for me, is the 6axes IMU that bigger bikes have. Unless you are racing, Something like an mt07 is more than enough for anyone.
Still waiting to get my mt03 new tire and get back to it, but the 07 might just be the upgrade to make for a forever bike man. I can do the thing and get the same ugly ass (i love it) teal rims 😂 and have a real banger. Turtle gang for now cause I love it and still have lots to learn out here on the streets. Your positivity is welcome. Ride on cruza!
MT-03 is a really nice bike too, you'll love theMT-07 too. You can't go worng with any of the MT bikes, all awesome street bikes. Whatever you do make sure to wear all the gear all the time and ride defensively. Stay safe and blessed!
My personal recipe : 1. MIVV Delta Race Full Exhaust 2. DNA Filter and Stage 2 3. YSS Fork Upgrade and Rear Shock 4. 520 Chain Conversion with 15T and 43T
I wanna get an mt07 as a first bike. I don’t have any dirt bike experience or anything but I really like all the reviews I’ve been hearing about this bike. And I especially like the fact that it doesn’t have a lot of technology. So it’s beginner friendly and old school.
The only thing to worry about is, if it has Traction control and ABS. As a beginner myself, I see it as an important insurance incase you accidentally pulled too much throttle or brakes. If you ride way within your limits on the bike, most likely you'll not be in trouble. Remember, take your time to learn and get used to the feeling, buy good gear, dress for the slide.
I have a 22 KTM RC390 and I can tell you that the KTM electronics and premium stuff on that bike feels really cheap, they advertise that WP suspension but a bike with roughly 40 HP, it doesn't feel like it was needed even on track. I am soon thinking of getting the R7 to be a hybrid street/track bike, I came from an MT-10 2 years ago and although I regret selling it and put 20k (S)miles on it, I think the R7 will be the happy medium for me.
That's why I love my SV 650, simplicity, no ride by wire/crazy tech just do it your self bike, not crazy heavy, nimble, low seat height, low down torque and most importantly that V twin, I love parallel twins specially with 270 crank but v twin is v twin, it is a shame that they are killing it right now because stupid emissions and production costs.
I never cared for the XSR styling, I preferred the MT styling but everybody has their own style preference. The new 2024 MT-09 SP is really nice, I'm debating on whether to get one. The XSR900 is pretty much the same as the MT-09 but different styling.
@@CycleCruza You are right - a motorcycle’s styling/aesthetics is a very personal and subjective thing. I find the MT-09 styling much less attractive (mainly the fuel tank and headlight) than the XSR. But that’s all cool! I can’t remember if you’ve had in the past an MT-09 or ridden one, but the CP3 that both the XSR and Mt-09 share (along with the frame) is an amazing beast. Like your videos - keep ‘em coming and hope you have a happy, healthy and prosperous 2024!
Simple answer, outside of a Grom the MT07 is legit the most fun hooligan wheelie machine. You just can't get off a MT07 without a smile, it's just so enjoyable as you fully feel connected to the bike while you're riding it. Also any dealership around me is pretty much sold-out of them year round. Even if someone trades one in for a more powerful bike, that MT07 won't stay long at that dealership.
I had a hell of time getting a MT-07, it was backordered everywhere. I ended up having to order it from a Harley dealership. 🤣 It was weird because all that dealership had were Harleys. Even Harley riders can appreciate the MT-07.
I want to take a trip this spring to somewhere but it'll probably eb a bug out van trip. I have to take my dog and it would be impossible on a motorcycle because she is too wild and she would be pissed off if I took her to a kennel.
The MT-07 is the screwdriver of Motorcycling, it's useful, cheap, but it gives no pride of ownership. It's happy to live in the 90's/early 2000's It disappears on Bike nights, no one would ever looks back and take a second glance at it stance, or how it looks, it's just dry toast. I do have to hand it to Cruza for being able to stick with with such a bike for so long. No one is going to call you "Moto-Jitsu" who changes bikes more often than we change a roll of toilet paper...I do give you credit, for sticking to your choice of Bike.👍
I got a new mt07 in 2022. I keep thinking I'm gonna sell it and buy something else. Then I ride it and giggle myself sick because it's just so fucking FUN. I can't ever get rid of it. I'd still like to upgrade the suspension. But man the cp2 engine is unbeatable.
I plan to sell my 2019 MT07 and buy a new RS660, yeah the bike is fun but there are many cons, wind absolutely destroys you because it's a full naked(this is the biggest problem), suspension is garbage, brakes and not that good also
@@dariomladenovski7047 The wind on the highway is super annoying for sure. I did a 2k mile road trip this summer and had one day with 350 highway miles. The noise got really tiresome. But that's just the nature of a naked motorcycle. FWIW I feel like the brakes are fine. Plenty enough power to engage ABS.
The MT-07: hands-down the best bang-for-your-buck middleweight naked. 3 years ago. Every major motorcycle channel that's had a head-to-head showdown of all the new nakeds have only agreed on one thing: of the new nakeds, the MT07 is unanimously last place. But you do you must have access to information they don't, as you continue saying that the MT07 is the best, while having never ridden the new Suzuki, Honda, KTM or Street Triple. Well, I guess I know where you stand: the bike you currently own is the best (despite having not tried the others). And my father is the toughest man in the world and I'm gonna be an astronaut and a movie star when I grow up. Listen, I used to never miss a video, but honestly, this sh*t's gettin' old. Peace
Does the throttle have a choppy on off feel? Does the shifting feel clunky at times? Do you feel any buzz or vibration in the bars, seat or feet? Thanks
@CycleCruza have you looked into the 2023 XSR900. I’d love a comparison between the 2. Since it’s got the tener 900 rear arm for longer base and so on(compared to mt-09) you may like the suspension a lot. But I think it’d be awesome to get your opinion!
picked up a 2020 brand new in 2021 not knowing much about them. Was going to buy a Trident 660 but they was all on boats in containers thanks to covid but i am glad they were. Turns out i hit a home run with her.. What a bike and my first bike
Hey! Love you videos. Do you have an opinion over the mt 07 vs the fz6? I suppose they're totally different bikes (inline 4 vs parallel twin), but fz6's could be found for $3-5k 👀
I had a 2011 fz6r. The bike handles super well and can do what you want, tops out about 120ish mph. It's not real fast but enough to keep one happy especially on twisties. The MT07 is faster and much better for wheelies.
i buy mt-07 for my second bike, fun bike. But whats bother me is cam chain noisy when idle, dealer inform those noisy is normal. hmm maybe this cp2 engine behaviour like this. any idea ?

I own a MT07 and a R1. 90% i take the MT07- for its price and power, the fun is unbeatable
💯👍
How much did you pay for your mt07 ?
@@jackreacher2095
I paid with exhaust an tuning around 8k
Dont have to but if you got the cash the exhaust and tune is absolutly worth it. Bottom punsh is dope
Each time I watch your videos, I like my MT-O7 even better. I am 69 years old and just bought one. No comparison with my 1985 Yamaha 650 XS. Greetings from Switzerland.
I turned 64 this year and am getting a motorcyle. People are asking me why at my age? As you proved, age is no barrier to motorcycling. Enjoy mate!
69?
Nice.
I have an MT07, had it for about a year, and I absolutely love it. So much fun to ride. Its my first bike, and one I think I'll have for a long time.
I own a 2023 MT-07 and it really is a amazing bike. The only thing I would change after the exhaust upgrade is a slightly beefier suspension. I say this because I weigh 230lb and that is probably heavier than most.
lift up front fork by 8mm in the triple clamp.
shorten front spring spacer by 10mm
Use thicker front fork oil
Cheaper route
The expensive route is replacing the front forks with a better quality adjustable preferred
I don't understand why Yamaha refuses to make a MT-07 SP. However, you can always upgrade the suspension yourself.
i have a öhlins rear shock, but the front needs to be upgraded. I know that cheap upgrade, but do u know if it's worth to swap cartridges to a for example öhlins ~500 or cheap ones ~300$?@@godzeus9702
I'm 155 pounds 6 feet tall and the mt07 is perfect for my weight
@Partnerthedog I'd smack my momma to be back to 155! Bikes are all set up for the 150-160 weight class.
Another MT-07 video, it's a great bike. I own one myself and I'm not selling it. But let's keep it movin.
Yeah I can't sell it. I'm going to sell my golf cart and make room to add another bike of some sort.
I got my MT-07 today! Looking forward to riding it
I got my MT07 more or less the same time as you did (Aug 22) and love it.
Man! you make me wanna but an MT07 with this video lol
the 07 makes for a great commuter. and makes the commute fun. And take it for a blast at the weekend!
Hoping they announce at MT 07 SP version one day. That would be so sick!
waddup CRUZA, Im taking a motorcycle class this weekend. wish me luck
Now i just need some warmer weather so i can get out and ride. lol
Best for beginners and intermediates. It also looks and sounds amazing. Yes i have one!
I sat on a GSX8S, GSX8R, 2 CFMoto 450s, a 636 and I think a couple others today, and i chose the MT-07 purely for the riding position. You hit the nail on the head on the rider triangle being beautiful 👌🏼
Totally agree. It ain’t a beginner bike at all. Small mistakes on this can = big problems.
Picked up a Matte Raven Black 23 MT-07 last summer as my first bike and I absolutely love it.
Congratulations, you have kept a second bike for over a year. That's great. I love the MT family and especially with the round headlight.
Cyclecruza inspired me to buy a 2023 mt07 and I love it!
👍 Nice! Have fun and stay safe!
Me to I'm convinced already to get one I just want to wait for the newer year bike. Every year bikes usually get upgraded and I would rather wait to see what the next year upgrade is than buy one and regret not waiting for the better next one.
I just got myself the 2024 MT-07 and every ride im loving it more and more.
just got the standard akrapovic exhaust ordered :0
hey, question is the sound still good on the 2024? i'm about to get one and couldn't really find one to hear the sound
@@Voomtheonesound is the same👍
I have a 2022 R7, got it with 2miles back in March 2022, I now have 61k miles on it, it's such a fun bike, I get a lot of hate from bigger CC riders but oh well I'm happy with it, taught my gf how to ride on it too and she loves it.
*NEW VIDEO:* BAD Mistakes New Riders Do (See video!):
ruclips.net/video/0vvxGOE0gug/видео.html
I'm with ya on the cable clutch, .... to me the more simple the bike the more fun!!
I love my MT07HO as well. Super fun for commuting around town.
Love your videos, your content. This bike is at the top of my buy list.
Tried it a few times but got myself a CFMoto CLX700. Cheaper , 5 year guarantee , slight better looks imo (but very personal), cruise control. Yay!
And this is why i got a mt07 a few years ago. Ergonomic, looks good, sounds good
Yamaha Davidson made me laugh so damn hard bro xD
It's a criminal shame for it to sit any longer I reckon
tell us how that went! I have a 07 and might take an 09 for a test ride at some point...
I test rode the MT 07 at Yamaha Demo Days and that is a light very fast bike. Sounds great!
Been looking between this and the Kawasaki z650 performance, after multiple reviews from my favourite motorcycle channel I’m choosing the mt07
Got my license last week, bought an mt-07 last saturday and I get to pick it up next saturday. Really cant wait to ride it!
Be careful and have fun, head on a swivel, welcome to becoming invisible!
I ride a FZ07 and came off a 600rr. Sometimes I miss the speed, but the FZ compensates for that it’s too much fun
I’ve been searching for a while for this bike in my area and every time it gets bought before I can get in there 😭😂
Cruza needs to do a end of year wrap up video 🤘🏻🛵🛺🏍️
Ive had the ducati hypermotard with 110hp and id rather ride my mt07 anyday, ive had 3 now! Perfect motorcycle honestly
I’m considering an MT-07 and a Triumph Trident 660. The Trident has a lot to offer
My personal recipe :
1. MIVV Delta Race Full Exhaust
2. DNA Filter and Stage 2
3. YSS Fork Upgrade and Rear Shock
4. 520 Chain Conversion with 15T and 43T
This camera is better than before.
You got a 22 model right. I did, I’m having a birthday party for it on February 16
3:52 haha hope old homie behind you on his harley didnt hear the smack we talking lol
Should have got that white VFR800 from the dealer at 0:05
I have a 22 KTM RC390 and I can tell you that the KTM electronics and premium stuff on that bike feels really cheap, they advertise that WP suspension but a bike with roughly 40 HP, it doesn't feel like it was needed even on track.
There's a 2023 mto7 and a 2024 mto7 at my dealership available. They look so beast shiny new.
Great vid! The Honda Hornet 750 looks better on paper than the MT-07, but it is still not available in US/North America.
Hey CC! Any plans for a Hornet review?
You really NEED to test ride a 2022+ Yamaha XSR900
Cycle Cruza morning Joe!!!
*NEW VIDEO:* The WORST Sport Bike Mods (Ridiculous!):
ruclips.net/video/F6bJdtVaRhc/видео.html
5:00 "The yamaha gsx8s or whatever..."
Great video tho, really good job. Keep on doing good!
Love your channel man!
How about some long distance touring with a Harley bagger or sport touring this spring. Just bike and gear.
I want to take a trip this spring to somewhere but it'll probably eb a bug out van trip. I have to take my dog and it would be impossible on a motorcycle because she is too wild and she would be pissed off if I took her to a kennel.
The MT-07 is the screwdriver of Motorcycling,
it's useful, cheap, but it gives no pride of ownership.

Love my MT-07 and other bikes have come and gone the 07 stays!
owning a cbr 600 rr and a ktm 690 smcr had a couple of chances to ride it and i just think the mt o7 is a little vanilla :D
Heh Yamaha Davison 😄 I guess that would make my MT 09 a hopped up Yamaha Davison👍
Peace
Been watching you for a while you only put 600plus miles on this mt 07?
Im gonna go watch your mvlogs on the CBR
It’s good you think your bike is the best. It ain’t true, but it’s good to think your bike is. If you think it is best, it is the best for you.
It does sound good, though
Its a fun bike for sure
What year would y’all recommend getting??? I plan on buying one soon!!!!
You should get a Triumph Street triple 765, to do a comparison.
i think its 1 of the best bikes ever made.
Does the throttle have a choppy on off feel? Does the shifting feel clunky at times? Do you feel any buzz or vibration in the bars, seat or feet? Thanks
Z900
CC, what do u think of the new MT09 with all the improvements?

@CycleCruza have you looked into the 2023 XSR900. I’d love a comparison between the 2. Since it’s got the tener 900 rear arm for longer base and so on(compared to mt-09) you may like the suspension a lot. But I think it’d be awesome to get your opinion!
would like to see a comparison of mt 07 and new Hypermotard 698 mono
picked up a 2020 brand new in 2021 not knowing much about them.
They have a couple at thrillpoint last I went
Funny 😂 good stuff
shut up HEAVY! AND LET US HEAR THE MOTORCYCLE WHAT A HEAVY DUDE!
OSHA says you’re not wearing enough reflective neon. Jesus.
Just don't sell it ! It's the perfect bike for comuting, period. Keep up
@cyclecruza i have an z750 from 2012.. maybe i need to switch over and buy an mt07? Share your toughts bro
i buy mt-07 for my second bike, fun bike. But whats bother me is cam chain noisy when idle, dealer inform those noisy is normal. hmm maybe this cp2 engine behaviour like this. any idea ?
