    "Hmm. I don't like that these wallets support hundreds of assets and receive firmware updates. This is an ongoing security risk that I wouldn't expect from a hardware wallet. After I purchase the wallet, I would prefer to never need to interact with Trezor as a company again.This dependency on Trezor as a company is very odd. I fully expected the hardware wallet to be compatible with the variety of already existing open source wallet software. I'm new to wallets so just figuring this out. "
    is this firmware update thing is safe? and what will happen to the wallet if for example Trezor go out of business? and finally is there any other options that doesn't require firmware updates?
    I know these are a lot of questions so thank you for your time.

      I agree. Doesn't feel safe if I have to continually update. If you plan to hold for 10 or 20 or 30 years you shouldn't be "advised" to interact with firmware every 2 or 3 months. Also, you can't know for certain if there's something secret in their new updates that they're not disclosing, you have to trust their word, which is not good at all. At least if they go out of business you can restore your seed phrase at another brand of wallet (and vice versa). Most of them are compatible among themselves, The Bitcoin University channel has some great videos about this topic.

    Hi I wanted to follow these steps but when the suite displays "Follow the instructions on your Trezor screen" the trezor just shows my name and no instructions... quit and re-open app and nothing.... any ideas?

    Do you recommend using Exodus with a Trezor one? And if so, why? Can I do UTXO management from exodus?

      I do trust both products. I have not done any UTXO management before but this is what I quickly found online from Exodus: www.exodus.com/support/article/109-what-are-change-addresses Hope that helps!

    I have a Trezor Black. I put BTC on there about 2 years ago as first time use. I wrote down the 24 word seed phrase. One of the words showed up twice. That added a layer of stress to an already stressful process of moving BTC from exchange to Trezor. Here's my question: Do seed phrase words repeat? If not, then I did something wrong. If this is the case, how do I get my BTC off of my Trezor? should I avoid updating if my seed phrase is wrong?

      They do repeat sometimes within the same 24 words seed phrase. I don't know how this works for entropy but it's quite common. Nothing to worry about.

    TBH, just starting with crypto and in general, just want to buy some and store them. Thinking about buying Trezor One for that matter. But maybe you have more videos on how to start? Buy Crypto, transfer it, etc? I've seen your previous video of basically unboxing Trezor One. But I'm trying to understand, where do I get my Hex to receive crypto to and how to get Hex to view my current crypto.
    Sorry if it might sound stupid, but I feel like there is no way I can research that info on my own 🙂

      You can always go to Trezor's support crypto asset page here to see if HEX or any other crypto is supported and to what extent: trezor.io/coins
      You'll need to go to a site like Coinmarketcap to see what Exchanges HEX is being sold on. You can purchase there and then send to your Trezor hardware wallet (I have videos on sending BTC from Coinbase to Trezor... things will be similar no matter what Exchange you use and what crypto asset you want to send.).

    Hey bud, thanks for the info & help! Request; how to transfer litecoin FROM a paper (litecoin) wallet TO a coinbase litecoin wallet. Coinbase doesn’t make it terribly easy for lay people to do this…. Thanks in advance!

      @CryptoBlick  Год назад

      I haven't personally done this myself but what I just researched you scan the "Private Key" on the paper wallet to input the crypto asset into your wallet on the Exchange. Here are a couple videos (not LTC specific though):
      1. ruclips.net/video/_lLCkAEAaPo/видео.html
      2. ruclips.net/video/5Ni9Mz4T7og/видео.html

      If none of that helps you, I'd consider checking out lite-wallet.org (per 2yr reddit article: www.reddit.com/r/litecoin/comments/n4gs15/paper_wallet/) or Electrum LTC, Loaf Wallet, Litevault.net (per 6yrs old reddit article: www.reddit.com/r/litecoin/comments/7eaijc/transfer_ltc_from_paper_wallet_to_coinbase/) as options. Keep in mind these are 2 and 6 year old reddit articles and could be outdated. Double check to make sure that they still work.
      Also, check Exodus (on desktop) and Trust wallet.

    Hi there, I was installing the update and it didn't seem to be successful. Now my Trezor seem to be wiped off and I even don't see the PIN screen at the beginning, and it asks me as it is from new. Any advise on how to recover?

    Hey bro, would you pls provide some guidance on how to get XLM onto the trezor wallet…. If possible? Thanks in advance! FYI, the XLM in question is being transferred from coinba$e to trezor wallet. Thx

    • @CryptoBlick
      @CryptoBlick  Год назад +1

      Hey HA, as you can see on the Supported Coins list (trezor.io/coins/stellar), XLM isn’t supported so that you can directly manage your private keys in your Trezor. You can however use Exodus, Account Viewer and Stellarport wallets in conjunction WITH your Trezor to make this happen.
