- Surya Namaskar is also known as the sun salutation pose, is a warm up or toning exercise and is considered the best of all yoga exercises. Surya Namaskar is a series of twelve physical postures which help improve strength and flexibility of the muscle. Surya Namaskar posture also warms up the body and tones the abdominal muscles.

It looks easy... I tried it... and I'm just nowhere near as flexible.. but I'm sure repetition will bring the better breathe and flexibility... did you see how far backwards dude was able to bend, that's strength!
You must have a long experience to stretch your muscles like that and to get all the benefits from this yoga
Hi.. I am facing this problem while doing surya namashkar… whenever i do suryanamashkar I get boils on my face and voice becomes heavy… even performing a single round of surya namashkar results to boils on my face...
This doesn’t happens while doing any other asanas. Since the benefit which I experience with surya namashkar is not same while doing other asanas.. surya namashkar helped me a lot in mind level…please advise..as I don’t want to stop doing surya namashkar.

Non conosco meditazioni che prevedano particolari posizioni o forme prestabilite ma esiste nell’esperienza individuale solo l’attuale posizione in cui sono riversato dalle esperienze e dalle scelte fatte. A partire dalla attuale condizione scelgo modelli mai fissi per avere la possibilità di creare un focus sul mio fisico e attraverso esso sui percorsi di pensiero spesso meccanici che mi imprigionano, da dove sono partiti e perché...; avviandomi alla soluzione del problema attraverso un morso della mela di internet e le sue immense possibilità di connettere a modelli di ogni tipo e necessità non chiedo permessi ma effettuo ciò che mi serve e che mi è dovuto dall’unica cosa che esiste e su cui ho potere (io). Tutto è meditazione 🙏🏼

Superb video and love that Bansuri flute music! Very informative, and I hope people pay careful attention to your note saying proper SUPERVISION is needed for beginners! Especially the standing forward bend, must NEVER be done with knees straight to begin with. NEVER! The knees must be bent to whatever extent that is comfortable. Otherwise the lumbar vertebrae will crunch down on each other and hurt the lumbar discs, BADLY.

Hi all
I have lower back problems and despite being as careful as I am capable of, (not bending backwards but just staying upright, and doing a very little baby cobra) the problems increased when doing 10 sun salutations in the morning regularly. So I just stopped until the back problems were over. And slept on wood instead of a mattress which helped greatly. But I d like to do sun salutation. Does anyone have experience in growing towards this kriya coming from lower back problems? Or should i just avoid it altogether? I dont want to increase them so for now I do pranayama s (which I love) and read about sun salutation without doing them haha.
