I have this light. And I love it!! I’m lil older and my eyesight is not the greatest even with the light pad if the canvas is darker. This is great just as a light or using the magnifying portion.

I got a magnifying light on a clamp I use the light more than the maginfier I got hand held maginfier that I use if I can’t see some symbols great video

Thanks Laura. I like the idea of this and I have found lately that my eyesight isn't what it used to be! I definitely prefer to diamond paint with lots of light! I had a thought that you could just add a felt sticky pad (available at the dollar stores) to the side of the clamp that doesn't have any padding as an easy fix. I wonder if the magnification works better if you bring the light and magnifier down closer to the diamond painting. I too wear glasses all the time. The Canadian price is a bit steep. Great review.

I didn't even think of that, I have some in a cabinet that we use for the bottom of furniture legs. I could definitely cut one of those down! Thanks Nancy!

I would turn the light so it’s not above the metal base. So it’s more like an actual goose where the base is the body but the lamp (the head) is the opposite direction. Looks like a nice light though!

I bought this and liked the light but found the magnification would work better for up close work like jewelry making or small electronics work. I work my diamond paintings on an easel and I couldn’t really get the light easily and comfortably close enough to the canvas for the magnifier to be useful. I ended up giving it to my husband.

I have a magnifying light on a base, not art dot. It has a bigger rectangular window. I set the base on top of my canvas as I work.

I do not have this light, but use a magnifying lamp to diamond paint. I couldn't DP without it. (I'm older, so my eyeballs need the help) My lamp has a very flexible gooseneck style, so I can move it over the area I am working on, and the base is heavy enough that it doesn't become unstable. I do like the idea of a flat base, and it seems to come apart easily to travel with, does the gooseneck move in such a way that the light doesn't have to be directly over the base? So perhaps the base can be sitting on the plastic of my next section, but the light cam be over the current section? Just curious. Thanks for the great review!

I will have to give that a shot, it's a pretty flexible gooseneck so I'm sure that would work!
