Bleach, despite being underrated and heavily criticised by many, served as an inspiration for numerous top tier works that have been popping off over the last decade. More importantly, Bleach is much deeper than it may seem on a first read or watch. That doesn't mean that the criticisn is invalid, Bleach manga has quite a few problems and the anime adaptation has even more, but there is indeed a problem of some critics misunderstanding certain things for being problems. This reminds me quite a bit about the reception of Star Wars Episode 1 on release, how so many people missed the deeper meaning and finer details because they were so focused on other things.

oh man im so sorry but something really funny is that the voice actor for renji has a really recognizable voice. and i finally remembered where i *also* know him from, aside from bleach: he voiced the main character in some pretty porn-y BL/gay anime i saw a long long time ago! and not just one - TWO!! i get it though, he's really good at playing the angry tsundere who also..moans a lot like omg ive heard that guy moan so many times its not even funny. he was kamijou hiroki in junjou romantica, a classic, and ranmaru in ikoku irokoi romantan, something i DEFINITELY shouldnt have been watching at the age that i was lmaooo
He also got one of the lead roles for the Ai no Kusabi remake, too bad that project got shelved or it should have been a legendary role for classic BL. I was so surprised to hear him on Golden Kamuy, I haven't heard him for several years before TYBW came back.
The glove that ishida use is called sanrei glove. Its a training glove that Quincy to train for gaining reishi. With that glove it would super hard to gather the reishi in the air.

This training is still one of my favorite moments, I think Ichigo's inner world and self conflict is one of the best in shounen history!
