Great honest review Andy. As always, where there are problems, you find practical solutions to get a good result 👍
thanks Paul 😊
I just bought a Ford Transit and drive a motorcycle inside 😁
I got one 2nd hand 600 uk 🇬🇧
I've had the same problems plus the exhausts/silencers of my Bonneville hitting the number plate whilst loading/unloading the bike. To stop the loss of the major pins (a huge design fault in my opinion) is to fasten cable tie around the ends of the R clips. The circle clips are useless. The cable clip problem can be fixed by drilling holes in the main carrying channel to cable tie the electrical cable in place.
I have never lost the small pins with R-clips, but I have lost the large pins with circle clips twice. In the car I always carry extra pins and clips, screws and nuts that I made and that fit into the holes. The problem of exhaust and license plate is standard, I simply put the motorcycle on the trailer and only then put on the panel with the license plate. Your idea of attaching the electric cable with a zip tie may be good, but having to cut the zip tie every time I dismantle the trailer is a bit inconsistent with the idea of this equipment.
Generally speaking, the whole idea of this trailer is OK, unfortunately the problem is that the manufacturer has stopped in one place, does not improve its product and does not look for solutions for things that do not pass the test, and unfortunately the price increases from year to year.
I'm thinking of experimenting with the circle clips by splitting the circle and seeing if the circle can be opened around the pin and if there is enough spring to close behind the pin so it would be impossible for the pin to fall out. What do you think?
I have my rocket 3 on a hde get vibration at 60mph apparently its because the tyres have inner tubes I gad to remount number plate further out and just cabletie the lead I also leave lights off and ride bike up on the trailer with two lengths of wood clipping on the axle beam so I can put my feet down
Corrections they have tubeless tyres found wheels out of balance
It’s absolutely overpriced, they make these in Europe (Poland) at 500 gbp cheaper
