  • Full review at www.morebikes.c... The Motolug motorcycle trailer can be completely disassembled and stored easily at home, or even in the car. This test sees on-road footage comparing it to an Erde PM310. The Motolug can carry much heavier bikes, and with its low centre of gravity and slightly wider wheel base, has proved an excellent piece of kit when towing.

The whole point of buying a Motolug for me is the fact that you can carry it in the back of a car if you're going to pick up or deliver a bike as opposed to dragging an empty trailer all the way there or back. Plus they can easily be taken apart and stored away in a shed or garage under a workbench or in a corner. Conventional trailers have to be stored for long periods either outside in all the weather or dominate most of the space in a garage. Motolug trailers are very well engineered and thought out and the only ones I can find that can be assembled and disassembled without any tools. The only downside for me is that the main chassis is quite heavy to lift when folded up but it has to be to maintain the rigidity when assembled.

I think the wobbling on the motoslug would be less then shown in this video of the straps were actually tightened. It seems to me they were not.

Hey John, found one of your old movies. Do you still have the MotoLug and would you recommend it?

Very innovative. Needs a bit more work on assembly time. Maybe some more parts collapsible and integrate the wiring into the chassis. Nice product though...good luck

    Good day,
The website offers a 10" wheel kit as upgrade, is this recommended or the stock wheels will do just fine?
