Not a whole lot but what is there, is pretty notable. I recorded what I could on the original 1.0 PS4 Version as over the course of all the updates, unused content like this may have been overwritten and does not work anymore as it was once intended. --- Originally there was a different version of this video up for a very short while but as I have been informed you can actually fight the Black Chocobo, after confirming this myself I have swiftly taken it down. I apologize for the inconvenience.
What I love about FF XV is that the guys are just as surprised as we are when they see these gods and monsters. Unlike other FF games where the party isn’t really fazed, the boys are all like “holy crap! What is that thing!?” I love it
@KonbiniFriedChicken Me too. Hopefully XV will get an update in the future, like for a 10th year anniversary or something with all the unused content and the storyline we were supposed to get with the missing episodes.
Excuse me Deathgaze was supposed to be an enemy IN THE BASE GAME? AND WE ONLY GOT HIM IN COMRADES IN 2018? For such an amazing design to go almost unused, I'm glad we got him in before the end of development. I can picture the scene though: Almost reaching Hammerhead, Talcott's truck gets pushed from something and gets upside down, Noct and Talcott exit it in a rush to understand what is happening and see this gigantic daemon with skeletons as body and this long cloak, Talcott escapes and Noct tries to fight... after some fighting Talcott returns with the Chocobros, Deathgaze's battle continues and after the fight the bros rejoice Noctis' return in the middle of nothing, just the light of the truck still running making it a very small yet safe haven from small Daemons, instead of being in Hammerhead. It would've given a much better perspective of how dangerous the world has become that not even Insomnia's empowered lights could let people have safe travels, making really clear how dangerous the situation is
If I should guess we probably originally have to fight Ravus the very first time the party met him, when we retake Regalia in one of the imperial base, oh boy it would be so epic, and I'm guessing he will beat gladio's ass at the end scene of the battle
I'm in the process of reading Dawn of the Future, the novel of FFXV that tells the story of the cut DLC episodes, and Deathgaze is featured in a segment of Episode Lunafreya. The book didn't do it justice for how terrifying this thing looks.
Deathgaze design look sick that's why they abandoned Final Fantasy XV missing all the parts from the original game and some the parts from the Versus XIII.
Deathgaze was a Google Stadia Exclusive content. It was meant for Adult Noctis to fight it, and probably the goal was to finish it off before timer runs out aka. arcade style.
I know what you mean although that version is just the recycled comrades version again and that piece of content was made even way after the last post launch update. So its unrelated to the original intention the developers had with this enemy. Also in "Expert Duell" you play as young Noctis.
My assumption from why the game was dropping frames is that this boss was meant to be fought in an arena, and not the open world, hence causing these frame drops.
@liljon042 If Deathgaze wasn't cut, I'm gonna guess the same location as Comrades and say it would either be a bounty hunt or part of the side quest from that endgame weapon guy.

Hey! It's nice that you fixed the error swiftly. Thanks! Still is an intresting topic eitherway. Hope you keep it with the cut XV content!
Ohhh where can you fight it?

@Luthus Nox Fleuret No problem man!

Ah dude, fighting Deathgaze as an optional boss in the World of Ruin would've been so rad.
You can fight him as an optional hunt in Comrades
I wish we could have explored the World of Ruin much more (not just OOB glitches)

That deathgaze is so fucking cool. I wish that was finished and in the game :(
I couldn't agree more
Fighting flying enemies is a pain unless Noctis has his powers from the Leviathan fight or the final battle. Is it better in Comrades?
Maaan, thank you for continuing to share cut content with us

Thank you for sharing this! It's just.. incredible. They had so much more planned and envisioned for FXV. So much is cut. Makes me wanna cry. 💔
I wish we could have fought #1 as the true final secret super boss, it looks completely evil. Great work as usual
definitely this game had the potential to be one of the greatest rpgs ever created.

Deathgaze killing fps 🤣
my ps4 pro wasn't ready for cut content of this magnitude
Deathgaze battle would've had me ragequit at least once. That thing looks nasty af😂
Reakkt thank you for doing this dude . Deathgaze seems like really bad ass .
Man I’m so grateful for ur content, always look forward to another upload :) even though new ffxv content now is very scarce
thank you for those kind words on this dull monday morning :) More content is in the works!
Can't get enough of this stuff, I'm glad I found your channel! I wonder what else there is yet to be found in the files
XV is still my 2nd favorite game ever
Deathgaze design look sick that's why they abandoned Final Fantasy XV missing all the parts from the original game and some the parts from the Versus XIII.
Your channel is magnificent 👍🏾
thank you!
Hope one day we get a completed remake of ffxv with everything included, then a versus xv that tells the original Nomura story.
Got a feeling the Ravus boss was supposed to be used in chapter 5 when you just retrieved the regalia
I hope they remake this game someday and finish it 10 12 and 15 are my favorite ff games.
This is amazing 😱

Was Deathgaze causing FPS drops or was that recording issues?
nope actual issue from the game itself

I cannot believe they could have added Abaddon in the game and they didn't....
Wait! Wasn't Deathgaze duel supposed to be in FFXV on Google Stadia? I remember the trailer featuring it!
the deathgaze was recycled (and edited) for a comrades update and that further was recycled into a fight for the stadia version
XV is my 2nd favourite game I've been gaming since the 80s, will all this stuff ever be re-released in console form remasterd etc?
Is this still available in launch version on the ps4 or did you debug this in somehow?
Is there a way to add deathgaze in WOR near hammerhead or make a mod ?
It woulda been better fighting him up high like on an Airship.
Came here after ffxvi use this model
Which one
