You always look so beautiful. I struggle with powders as I have flaky patches of skin and a lot of redness so not much covers... I would love to try the bare pro foundation but I live in rural North Wales so all of my makeup tends to have to be online buying and shade guessing 😢😢 it’s also so nice to see someone with my type of skin without makeup. I’m 35 and I can’t keep comparing myself to the world of fake! Thank you for being so natural. Absolutely stunning ❤

@@BlondeTeaParty I tried it for a couple of days and love the hack. I notice it lasts longer. Did you ever try this hack on powder matte vs powder original? It would be interesting to see difference on both sides of your face if the matte vs the original in the same color.
@@aliciavilas5411 works just as well with both but I just find the original gives better coverage. The matte however over a liquid foundation works wonders! x

Thanks sooo much for sharing this tip. It works brilliantly! I tried this today and the powder just blended into my skin seamlessly. I did use 2 serums, moisturiser and sunscreen then went straight in with this technique. My pigmentation and red cheeks were satisfyingly covered and it looks like my skin but now more even. I've never been able to achieve this level of coverage without piling on my foundation, either powder or liquid. I'm so happy 😁 Thank you 💓

That is so much product!!! I use less product for my whole face than you put on the blender 😮 it looks nice but seems like a waste. Keep buffing to build up coverage.... a little goes a long way
Tip for anyone new or wanting to try a different primer with Bareminerals.. go with the ELF mineral infused face primer. Wanted to try a different one since they gotten rid of prime time spf bb. Feels just like it without the spf( A girl can try 😅). Works well with the matte formula and original too. Doesn’t make me feel matte or dewy. It’s a good sweet spot. And only $8. Good staying power too. ❤🙂

Great tip! Can you do a video on how to incorrectly prep before bareMinerals original and then how to correctly prep for bareMinerals? Your color match is spot on! Love that shade on you! I miss that eye shadow palette too.

This video is like incredible perfect timing for me lol. I recently got back into wearing my bare minerals and lily lolo loose mineral powder foundations and I forgot how nice it looks even under the unglamorous hospital lights at work but i realize since my skin care routine has changed a bit due to using retin-a i am finding i need to experiment a bit more with primers and application.

Hello from the states! I love mineral foundation as well and appreciate you’re videos so much. I’ve also used Bare Minerals for so so many years and am always looking for brands that compare (just for fun really:) One of my new fav mineral powders is Everyday Minerals (they do ship internationally.) They have 3 different finishes (matte, semi-matte, and jojoba which is very glowy) I even love to mix and match finishes and colors depending on the time of year. Would love to see you do a comparison video with BM and/or other brands. Retail prices are very affordable and they even have sales from time to time. Their Black Friday sale is coming in Nov and I usually stock up for the entire year!🙌🏻 Thanks again and hugs from Ohio❤️

Ooo thanks for sharing Shaz. You always influence me to pick up my bareminerals! I must say, I don't get the results you do when applying and i'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Am I not swirling enough, using enough product, using the right base... I'll give this technique a go for sure. Out of interest, what is your preferred base when using bareminerals? Any particular moisturisers that work best for you? Sometimes I feel like my brush isn't gliding on my face. Wish we could have a masterclass on this haha.
basically the tackier your skin the better! It works particularly well of sunscreen. Skin has to be super moisturised so the minerals have something to stick to. I use my serum and sunscreen and sometimes a primer which also helps. I love my La Roche Posay moisturiser 😊 I know exactly how you feel because I had the same issues with it not applying well. Love the masterclass idea! xx

I used the Beautiful Finish brush to apply bm and the flawless face brush for the bronzer, this is one of the very first bm brushes I bought x

You could absolutely use the sponge alone x
I tried this at the week-end and it worked marvellously for me. The only thing I didn't like was - at the end of the day my face felt a bit tight and drawn and "dry". I moisturised before applying a hydrating primer prior to make-up, should I try "another way" ? 🤔
Try using a setting spray like mac fix plus that works beautifully. It's also great to use as re-fresh too! x

Does the fairly light 03 lean more yellow or peach? I was using Light way back in the day and it was too yellow for me.
I would say yellow. It's really tricky to get the right shade! I'm thinking of trying some other shades in between fairly light and light
@@BlondeTeaPartyI think I might try fair ivory (peach hue) and possibly neutral ivory for a summer shade. My local Sephora only carries three shades and Neutral Ivory is one of them.
Is the warmth from BM discontinued??
Not that I know of. They would be insane to discontinue that!
Does the powder not get cakey or dry when it goes over the liquid eye concealer?
No not at all, especially as I set with Mac fix plus x
@@BlondeTeaParty Ah, ok. I put some concealer just on part of my undereye (where there is discoloration), then set with a powder. I'm noticing thought that when I buff in the bareminerals over it, the buffing motion still basically swipes away some of that concealer. Do you buff as usual over the concealer? Or use a lighter pressure?

I wore Bare Escentuals for over 10 yrs. Then it was sold and became Bare Minerals. The new owners ruined it. The quality is gone. The foundation shades changed color. And they phased out the minerals for disgusting liquids instead. Something that Leslie Blodgett would never have done. So sad. I would have used it my whole life. Way to ruin the brand!!
I know! I was so sad when Leslie Blodgett sold it! It seems they are trying to please everyone instead of just sticking to what made them unique. x
@@BlondeTeaParty And the same thing happened with Philosophy Skin Care. The new owners ruined that as well. In other words, they bought their main rival and then proceeded to bury them. I don’t blame Ms Blodgett or Ms Carlino. Take the money and run gf. But it sucks for the consumer though🥲
