DIY How To Remove Fender on Honda Acura Integra

The Morgan Nokker, which is one of my favorite tools to this day.
This is a big slide hammer that has different attachments that can be screwed on the end. It works great for edges to pull them back into alignment. Many times if there is damage near the front door and fender area, the door will not open, as it catches at the gap area. Usually this is because the fender has been bent in which catches the door edge. This also creates additional to the door by trying to open it. Anyway, using the Morgan Knocker, use an attachment that will fit around the fender edge and give it a few pulls. This will realign the fender that the door can be opened and closed.
We all know that aftermarket parts do not always fit properly. The Morgan knocker also works great to align or tweak a panel to fit properly. For instance, let's say the front of the fender is too close to the hood. All adjustments have been made, but the gap is still too tight. The slide hammer can be used to knock the fender over slightly to correct the gaps. You will want to place several paint sticks between the slide hammer hook to spread the blow and to protect the fender.
This is one of those tools that come in handy for many different repairs. It would be impossible to list them all, but once you see how the tool works, you will see many uses or maybe even things I have not ever considered. This tool is not a must, but it is a great tool to have around.

question regarding a acura tl 3.2 tl 2002 with a damaged driver side front fender. Do you have to remove the driver side door to replace/repair the fender. thanks

Cool, I guess same technique for Toyota Corolla. Liked it very much. What if there is not morgan tool available, is there any other trick to open the door with dented fender.
Abhishek Khanolkar You can try wedging a paint stick or something to spread the gap enough to get the door open. Depends how much damage there is.

That's pretty cool, my girlfriend put the car in reverse with the door still stuck on the curb and bent the door back so bad it doesn't even close shut. anyone know how to fix that? I also added some more dents to the car after getting so mad about it haha.
Hey quick question. On my '90 Accord does the finder have to come off to replace the door.? At some point hopefully soon I will be getting back to it. I ask you only because I am not with the car so I cant just go out and look. Would be nice to know what I will have to do ahead of time.
Just welded a patch on the hood of my truck. Using my gas-less Lincoln. I havent welded in some 20 years, came out O/K I should have got an after photo before I covered it in glass. I did distort the hood a bit around it, think I was a bit to quick on the tacks and should have waited longer between. Tried to beat some of the out but seemed like I was only making the metal weaker. Its only a plow truck so doesnt have to be perfect. Was good practice for when I start doing the typical Honda rot behind the rear tires. Any advice on welding would be awesome.!! I have watched your video. Maybe I will get a collection of photos and post to your FB page.
No, you should be able to replace the door without removing the fender. You will have the bolts on the hinge to remove and the catch strap that stops the door from opening too far. Thanks, Donnie

my door got stuck in the fender when i went to loosen the lug nuts on my wheel, but i just forced the door open and messed up the fender big time, dam it looks bad, i regret that, but i was a rookie back then..

Hi there, I replaced hinge pins and bushings on my new used 98 gmc sonoma and now I can not open the door because it is hitting the fender. I did notice that the truck had been in an accident and that fender and door area was repaired and was somewhat uneven. I have an 07 Honda Fit, I removed all the 10mm bolts but the one at the very bottom, I would assume it is a 10mm bolt but for some reason, my socket does not fit it and the 11mm socket does not fit, it's loose. What socket can I use to remove that bottom bolt on my Honda Fit???
The bolt head may have the corners stripped, which will not allow the socket to go on there. Or someone may have used a standard blot to put it back together in the past. Try using a 7/16 to see if that may work.

I am planning to sand my car to bare metal to colour it a new colour, someone told me i must not touch the metal when sanding as the moist in my hand will appear later in the pain and will peel off is this true? I have never done it before first time doing it at home.

Yes, I would try to spray the metal with epoxy or self etch primer. Try to avoid touching the metal. Thanks, Donnie

HAhaHAha most bought and lost tool 10mm. off the top of my head I cant count the amount of them between sockets and wrenches that magically go missing. I guess I could go count the many sets I have because somehow I end up getting a new set. Or at lest something new when I have to replace the missing one. Hate when its one of the MAC or snap-ons that go missing, expensive to replace.
