I gotta retire so I can read all these books. Making my way through Wheel of Time, and then wanna read through the Cosmere. But Red Rising, Ninth Rain, Darker Shade of Magic, Stardust Thief, and Fireborne all sound amazing. My reading plan changes all the time!!

Ive read so many good series based on your recs. Finally started The Winnowing Flame trilogy in April and i cant stop thinking about that world.
I know that I am super late for recommendations! I need to recommend Thirst by Christopher Pike. It's a 5 book series. For all my vampire lovers and those who don't want to read something that came out in the last decade, this adventurous Sci-Fi fantasy just might be your next series!

Elliot, I have read a lot of your recommendations. Talia Hibbert. Emily Henry. V.E Schwabe. I bought and loved the "Winnowing Flame" trilogy because of you. I've also read most of the "Grishaverse". I have "The Aurelian Cycle" but haven't read it yet. The rest is on my never ending TBR

It's interesting I think the only season I pair books with is spooky season. Other than that I don't really do it, but that's also partially because I live in California and it feels like we barely have seasons lolol. Great recs!

Yeah!!! One of my favorite Series is "The Witcher". The Game is great also. They need to come out with a Witcher 4 game. I liked "The Witcher adaption also although not as well as the books. I really enjoyed the Characters you meet along the way. I also think Malazan: Book of the Fallen series would be a great summer reading. Also, The Black Company.

Idk if you have ever come across this series before but I think its really good. It's kind of like the Shadow of the fox trilogy but I love this series more than that one. It's called Red Winter trilogy by Annette Marie. It also has really pretty art inside all three books. It's pretty much YA fantasy until the last book then gets YA/NA but nothing to adult.

Man i just could not finish the Shades of Magic series. The premise was interesting but Lila is soooo annoying lol. I DNFed book 2 midway through when i realized i was almost halfway in and the plot hadn't arrived yet.
You got further than I did. I finished the first book and was like 'Oh that was fun' and then got a chapter into the second one and just... it didn't interest me at all. I had no issues with the characters, it just felt dull. Someday I'll finish the series.

Man I read that winnowing flame trilogy…it is so depressing! Bad bad and more bad happens. I would love a prequel series that shows previous rains where everything is top of their powers.

I couldn't stand A wizard's guide to defensive baking, how many times do we have to be reminded by MC that she is ONLY 14 and ONLY a baker.
Also couldn't stand the 120 pages I read of Get a life, Chloe Brown before I DNF'd it (how much badly written smut can you put in that amount of pages. HINT: a lot). "I hate her but she is so sexy", continues to have a wet dream, wakes up and has some more fun with their hand, not to mention the use of vulgar words just for the sake if it. Yes, really 🙄🙄. I don't mind smut but I need some character development beforehand.
